This James O'Brien is so biased and we know who he voted for As soon as he is on I switch off - The best presenters are Nick Ferrari Ian Dale and of course Steve Allan . I never ever miss Nick Ferrari - a huge favourite

This isn’t a balanced current affairs radio station it’s a divisive, negative, hateful station.
Currently the aim is to be hateful to the older generation, blaming them for everything! The majority of this group lived through high interest rates, low wages and poor working conditions.
I’m no where near retiring yet but this rhetoric to demonise the older generation is dangerous & divisive.
Not least because we will all get there and if we make a society where all the older people are viewed as leeches and not valued what we are aspiring to as working adults in saving, planning for our old age, it’s pointless. I started listening to this station because I wanted a balance viewpoint but clearly there is an agenda, quite left-wing in my experience. I would say actually I’m very worried, apart from a very few presenters like Nick Ferrari & Ali Miraj the rest are very condescending, self entitled presenters actually. I now turn off and listen to smooth radio instead because it’s much more upbeat and less depressing and it doesn’t give me a headache.

Disgraceful radio. Please don't tune in unless you like Netenhayu's evil radio. Shelagh will make you smash your radio and Ian is one of the worst racist brexiteers you've heard. He's an absolute fatty. Tom is cocky Tom, has his first job and thinks he's the don... As Israel commits genocide, and this station promotes this daily with presenters too scared to lose their jobs. It's painful. I hate LBC and I've stopped listening after many years. James is the only presenter left as they mysteriously sacked the only other voice against the genocide Sangitta.

James O'Brien is great. Iain Dale is generally good. Since Sangita has gone, and Boris' sister has joined, it's gone way downhill overall

- the best was Sangeeta - the worst by far - so bad that he makes everyone I know switch off is Ali Miraj / no nuance / nothing interesting to say - just boring and annoying

Sheila needs to let people finish their off and sentences without seeking to assume to know what the end will be - also generally interrupts a lot

I used to be an avid listener to LBC, back in the days when Ken Livingstone could share mics with Jerry Hayes, Charles Kennedy and David Mellor. Now it's become a station when it seems even the presenters detest one another. The recent James NO'Brexit deranged tirade against Nick Ferrari's guest Nigel Farage was truly a new low for this shabby excuse of a radio station. Shameful.

James O'B. is fantastic to listen to ..puts people on the spot by just asking the right questions...OK ..he rants ...but hey he has a right and maybe responsibility to do so.

I get so much enjoyment listening to classic fm.
I will be eternally grateful for LBC for becoming an unbearable listen and pushing me away with their 'Be-kind' presenters.
Morrissey put it best: "The Be-kind crew will smash your face in if you disagree with them"
(He's not always right, but I think he's bang on the money with this observation).

so they have carol vorderman on this show which i thought might be a welcome change but oh,dear she comes across as a very angry women who cuts people of in stroke if she doesnt like what they say and she talks a load of nonsense as well. then there James o brian who has been stuck in the pass for about 8 years going on about the same old topic for 3 hours zzzzzzzz. the only one who is relativity alright is Iain dale but all the others just do exactly the same thing as carol vorderman talk over the caller or cut them off mid sentence if they don't like what the caller is saying, what ever those.

I wrote a slamming review of LBC about a year ago. I need to add to it. I have listened on and off to LBC since the '80s. I think it has become a over-personalised, overly subjective, increasingly parochial 'social-worker' service... "Has this happened to you?" rather than "what do you think objectively to this issue? What should be done?"... that's usually for the 'experts' they interview to answer. Maybe because listeners can't get a GP appointment... or maybe the station's directors sense that folks want to pour their hearts out on the radio and that this editorial policy is getting more listeners in hard times. Presenters: the overbearing, garrulous, smug O'Brien talks too much about himself, clearly delighted with his success -although he usually deals with issues very well if he could drop the high pitched self-congratulatory squealing tone every now and then. In my 1st review I criticised the format. To repeat: there is not enough time for callers, who are mainly crammed into the final 15 mins due to the presenters overtalking, too many ad breaks (some are so excruciating you have to switch off), and interviews breaking in with a separate topic after the half-hour 'news'. Matt Frei does overseas news/analysis well; Nick Abbot was funny and still can be (and often is bang on the money re issues), but is now too predictable, and gets same old callers. His 'serious' Sunday show is way better now. Finally: I think the BBC missed a chance many years ago to launch a news only radio channel with phone in. No ads, and no bias (mostly). Whatever - LBC keeps increasing its audience, so I can only guess that it's because there are little other similar radio choices.

Now give that toddler a national platform and an inflated sense of self-importance, and you’ve got your average LBC presenter. They seem to have perfected the art of talking over guests—no small feat considering how often they invite people on just to drown them out. It's almost like they think they’re getting paid by the word. Oh, wait, maybe they are.

And heaven forbid you try to present a view that doesn’t align with the host’s pre-packaged political narrative. It’s like watching a cat toy with a mouse, except the mouse actually has better odds. Your words will be twisted, contorted, and served back to you in a way that makes you wonder if you’re even speaking the same language. In fact, LBC should consider offering translation services—one for what the guest says and another for what the host *claims* the guest said.

But what really sets LBC apart is their uncanny ability to transform into a political mouthpiece, spewing out the opinions of the day like a well-oiled propaganda machine. Objectivity? Balance? Those concepts must have been left in a dusty cupboard somewhere around 2010, never to be seen again. Tuning in feels like attending a very loud, very one-sided political rally—one where the audience is never allowed to leave or, worse, think for themselves.

LBC is like a masterclass in how not to conduct a talk show. It’s where nuance goes to die, where debate is a dirty word, and where the hosts are always right—especially when they’re wrong. If you’re looking for a station that offers more echo than chamber, more heat than light, and more shouting than sense, then LBC is your perfect match. For everyone else, there’s always the "off" button or that video on YouTube of the guy eating maggots from a decaying moose carcass.
