The mail office in Germany send my kiwi crate back by accident. I stated my problem and received a quick offer to send the crate back to me as soon as it arrives at kiwico. It was kind, quick and thoughtful.

It took me some time to understand how I can send an email to the support team but once I did the response was fast and efficient.

The response was quick and met my needs

KiwiCo is GREAT! I and my grandkids have been customers for years and they always look forward to the next shipment. Since we go back quite a few years I have seen the upgrades and improvements in the crates. They are much more sturdy than they used to be which means the kids can get a lot more enjoyment out of them. When there is any kind of hiccup, customer service is always speedy, kind and anxious to assure my satisfaction.

Quick response when I emailed asking for support. Great tips and suggestions were provided for the issue we were experiencing. After trying the fixes but before I had emailed back to request a replacement part, I had another email saying that the kit was going back to development team and there wouldn’t be replacement parts to mail out, but they would send us a different kit instead and offered a few to choose from. Was nice to be offered this, rather than having to ask or feel like we got a “bad” kit. They did what they could to address a problem which I assume was more widespread than just us. This is the mark of great customer service and one of the reasons we have been a customer for years

Quick, helpful and polite.

The customer service rep who assisted me with my issue was very prompt and professional. I am happy with Kiwico as a whole, so I wasn't surprised by that level of service. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how quick it was to receive a response. Which is important for parents of small children who have demands on our time and it's hard to juggle both tasks. I didn't have to deal with a bunch of back and forth questions between us and it was essentially resolved from my first email attempt. Obviously it's not good to receive an incorrect order in the first place, but I was very happy with the resolution.

The problem was solved quickly and promptly

This company wants you to believe you can cancel at any time. However when I followed their online instructions for canceling, they still billed me the next month. After I emailed Customer Service, they want to give you the runaround telling you that you are basically trapped in a commitment for remaining months. I do not recommend any company that attempts to force customers into staying. Avoid this one.

The wood keeps breaking

Ordered a box for my granddaughter. It was not what she wanted. I cancelled the subscription. Got another box in the mail. Which ahe was also bot interested in. Contacted the company. They will not allow me to cancel and are forcing me to pay for 12 months even though we are bot happy with the product.

I recently purchased a 1-year subscription for my nephew. He received the first crate. Your website stated the second crate was shipped, but it was never received, and no shipping information was given. Therefore I was not able to track the package. I contacted customer care and they responded promptly and resent the crate.

Deceptive subscription practices especially the pay as you go. It is not a pay as you go set up and the way they describe the terms they lock you in to an annual subscription. It also contains vague language about pausing the subscription even after you canceled it.

I had a great experience with KiwiCo customer service. They responded quickly, answered all of my questions in detail, and made the interaction feel personal rather than like a generic response. Most importantly, they solved my issue without any hassle. I really appreciated how easy they made the process and the excellent customer service they provided.

It was a very prompt response to my inquiry and quick resolution to my problem.

The kits we received are awesome. My daughter loves them. We had a minor issue with a couple parts and kiwico was here to solve all the problems. Amazing customer service. They answered quickly. Were super kind. And most importantly solved the problem. Thank you for rocking it! We will recommend you to other families.

On the two and one lantern from Kiwi Co., we all have trouble putting in the part that the light shines through 21. Students are having trouble with this because you have to forcefully bend the piece of wood to be able to get it onto the pieces that you need to get it on I’m never building this one again. I want to throw it out the window and I want to jump out the window along with it this is very frustrating for all of us we have to. We’re never doing this ever again and we’re all just quitting. Do not get this one for your kid. It sucks buns.

I bought what I thought was a 12 month subscription which had the option to cancel “at any time”. What they fail to make clear on their website is that you can cancel but the cancellation will only come into effect at the end of the 12 months. So, what I thought would be a £20 birthday present for my son is now looking like it’s going to cost me over £340!
I feel like their website is vague on purpose with lots of offers to pull you in without giving you the chance to actually change your mind. Email communications are also not clear about the full price of the remaining 11 crates once my first “discounted” crate had been delivered. I like the product but I don’t think they are good value for money and I would not recommend purely because of their sales tactics.

Do not buy anything and do not sign up for a subscrition. They do not fully explain how the subscription works, they do not do anythign to fix your problem, and all reply are AI generated which means you have to go through your credit card to get anything done. Do yourself a favor and pick a different toy company.

Update 7/8/26: They reached out because of this review. I already know that they are going to give some cop-out about how there's a notice that the box you order might not be the one you get because THEY choose based off what THEY think your child will need. For me personally, I ordered a box for my 3 month old, but they sent me a box for a 5 month old and refused to refund, return, or send the correct box. All responses were clearly AI generated. DO NOT BUY.
