Awful Customer Experience
We’ve used JobAdder for 12 months. The product itself is acceptable, but the customer service is appalling. I’ve raised numerous issues up to director level and received only empty promises with little to no resolution. Emails are frequently ignored, in some cases I’ve sent five follow-ups with no reply.
Having worked in recruitment for nearly 30 years, I can honestly say JobAdder’s customer service is the worst I’ve experienced. Recent system outages and failures only add to the concern. I’ve heard service standards have declined over the last 18 months, and my experience confirms this.
I would strongly advise against using JobAdder. A business claiming to be a market leader should not treat its customers this way.

Unprofessional and untrustworthy – avoid JobAdder
We had agreed in writing with Idris Kamara from JobAdder's sales team to start with a trial month at a fixed rate. When we began testing the platform, we were required to enter a credit card. There was no option anywhere in the system to apply the agreed amount.
After reaching out to Idris, he asked us to go ahead and select the account option anyway, assuring us they would manually adjust the invoice. Instead, our company was charged for six full accounts.
I contacted both Idris Kamara and Sarah Maguire multiple times in writing, asking for a refund. Each time I was told that they were "working on it" and that the money would be refunded soon. This was in April 2025 — and to this day, we have not received any credit.
To make things worse, they even tried to charge us for another month, claiming there was a one-month cancellation period. However, our trial was clearly agreed as a fixed one-month test, and I had explicitly asked Idris in writing to confirm this and to include a cancellation clause if needed. His response: "That won’t be necessary" — he confirmed it was a trial month only.
Once the trial ended and the problems began, JobAdder ignored our agreements. Idris stopped responding entirely, despite several follow-up attempts.
In my experience, JobAdder has proven to be highly unprofessional and unreliable. I strongly advise any company to stay away from this provider. The way they handle client agreements and credit card data raises serious concerns.

Abismal customer Service on multiple occasions
It's a really sad thing when you have to publicly leave a bad review for a company in the hope that they might see it and act on your issue.
I've been a customer of Jobadder for the last couple of years. The product itself is pretty good, at a reasonable price although, without going into details here, there are a couple of glaring oversights in the products functionality from a permanent executive recruitment viewpoint.
The major let down is their customer service. They're full of friendly sales pitch when you're coming on board but it's completely hollow. Any issues are generally met with silence and when they do respond, you get some vague platitudes and loose promises, and then nothing happens. This is not just based on a one time experience. There have been several instances in the couple of years I've been with them. The latest involved them taking money for user licenses that didn't exist. There's absolutely no dispute from their side that the money was taken in error but still, they've done nothing to sort it in 2 months, despite numerous emails. I think they take the view that if they ignore you often enough, you'll get weary of following up and go away.
Honestly, I much prefer coming online to leave a positive review for a business if I'm going to leave one at all. It takes a lot to get to the point of having to write this, but a warning to anyone looking at the software. If customer service is important to you, probably keep looking. On the other hand, if you like British Telecom's legendary customer service, you'll love these guys!!

Completely Unsupported and it Takes Hours alone trying to Set it up up
Feeling let down by JobAdder’s lack of support
We purchased JobAdder last year with the intention of improving our recruitment workflow. Unfortunately, the experience has been anything but smooth.
My colleague started the setup process but didn’t get far — and since then, getting support has felt like pulling teeth. When you reach out for help, you're sent generic videos and articles. There’s little to no personalised support, and it’s incredibly frustrating.
Every time you ask a question, the response is:
“Do the training.”
Well, I did. Multiple times. But the system doesn’t even record the progress properly.
And when I pointed that out?
“Oh yes, of course…” with no fix or follow-up.
I don’t have hours to sift through videos and articles just to work out how to complete basic tasks. What I wanted — and what any team implementing a new system deserves — was a real person to support us for 40 minutes a week across 6 weeks to get it set up right. That never happened.
We’re a busy team. We invested in JobAdder to help us, not to create a second full-time job just figuring it out.
To anyone considering JobAdder: ask very direct questions about onboarding and support before you commit.
And if anyone has had a different (or similar!) experience — I’d love to hear how you handled it.

Beware of Jobadder!
Beware of Jobadder! Was offered a free trial. Tried it for 10 mins: Overpriced, outdated platform circa 2005 and no support whatsoever so cancelled. A year later they start chasing me for $257! Their dodgy salespeople lie to get a commission and then they will chase you forever. Avoid at all costs!
Update; 25/03/2025. Got a surprise call to my mobile from a 'Ben Hill" supposedly from the 'Sales team" wanting to "discuss the matter" Didn't listen at all and would't answer simple questions such as "Will you cancel the invoice?" May be simple intimidation or maybe just the same drivel they reply to bad reviews with. These people honestly have no shame and I feel embarrassed for them. The best way to avoid bad reviews is to provide a great product and service and then to not shake down customers for money when they have been conned into a "free trial'! Enough said. avoid at all costs!

Terrible support and loyalty
Support has deteriorated over the past year in line with their increased pricing. They are treble what their competitors are, many of the functions and plug-ins don't work, you cannot change a users email (have to delete the account and start a new one), random errors pop up on notes, the placement 'flow' is totally confusing and we have work-arounds for many functions as their idea of how it should progress is wrong or limited/restrictive.
Support doesn't care to read the initial query, either that or it is some form of AI response as the same responses from them are repeated.
After 13 years of loyalty and 20 licences I was unable to add a user on their first 2 days of work as they had made a billing mistake and applied an overdue payment to a future invoice. Support took painful lengths of time responding and always to say they cannot allow the add user function until funds had cleared (despite all payments being up to date). They wouldn't escalate to a manager and our loyalty was irrelevant as the system wouldn't allow it.
I was unable to speak to anyone on the phone or email and just had Tech support telling me their hands were tied. There is only a US support telephone number that I could find that went to vmail and I didn't get a call back.
They have also mistakenly sent our jobs to a job-board under the wrong Trading name, the damage for which is unquantifiable. They denied it till the end until we got the code from the jobboard as proof, we were not given any compensation.
I would strongly advise people to look at other options before going with Jobadder.

Worst ATS I have ever used
Worst ATS I have ever used. I have been asking for issues to be fixed since October 2024 and the fix has only happened today (28.01.25). There are still many issues and I am struggling to understand what has been fixed. Might as well not be paying for an ATS and do it all myself because that's what I have been doing since October 2023. Our agency partners are finding it difficult to use too. I cannot keep track of anything and it doesn't even have a duplicate candidate function. Customer support isn't great either and it takes ages for someone to reply. If you want to add to your workload and waste your day with applications, choose JobAdder. I wouldn't recommend JobAdder. I am currently on a trial with another ATS.
