The ifi zen stream is a great streaming device! Combine it with a good power supply, a proper dac with a good power supply and i think u get awesome value for the money! The only reason i did not give 5 stars is that i own it since a short period after it was released. From the moment i had it there were some problems with it and it took the guys at ifi a long time to get it fixed, in the end my unit froze and got stuck so i had to send it for repair! But i have to say there customer support is one of the best i have seen in years! After having good friendly contact with them and sending my device for repair i got it back in less than 1 week! A few weeks later i encountered more issues with my ifi so i wrote a bad review here and i am really sorry for that because it was not the ifi zen that let me down. The linear power supply had a defect not the ifi zen stream! If u will buy the zen stream i can promise u that you will not regret! Ifi makes really great sounding, innovative devices with a outstanding quality feel!

Continue what you are doing at ifi! I'm a big fan of your equipment!

It looks like IFI Audio are no longer providing a phone number to contact them on. As this discriminates me and those with visual impairments, a criminal offence under the Equality Act (2010), I will have to sell my existing IFI product range and no longer consider this manufacturer as a reputable source of product as I can no longer obtain sales advice, support or claim of warranty.

IFI Audio's expectation that everybody is able-bodied is absolutely pathetic!

EDIT: 19/11/2024: You claim that you have not removed it but moved it to an obscure location like your About page and removing it from the header/footer location (on every page) is tad amount to hiding it and therefore the points in my review still stand, albeit slightly altered, here in the edit.

It is the internationally accepted norm to place contact information in a 'contact' page and your companies history and mission statement in an 'about' page. I don't think I can even find a standard contact page (found on nearly every website).

In addition, if you are a truly customer centric organisation then you would place your phone number on footer/header so it is displayed on every page.

So, all of this reeks of a position of reducing customer interaction but hiding your phone number.

If this company changes it mind in how it treats it customers by producing a standard contact page with the phone number then I would consider removing this review as it would no longer fairly serve the intention of its purpose.

I have some problems playing audio from the iFi Uno. Liam from Support instantly came back to me and we've had a good conversation on what it might be.
Using the suggestions Liam gave me, I was able to locate the problem to my W10 system (still need to figure out why Windows does that).

iFi Uno is not only a very nice product, the service is also outstanding.

Love my hip dac (version 1) but the ifi "special" cable suddenly stopped working. I treat my ifi stuff with reverence. Actually I hardly ever used the cable and never took it out with me, just used it on my desk. Tested the cable by connecting between my computer and the phone but completely dead, doesn't even charge the phone. Other USB-C cables work fine with my phone, so it's not the socket on the phone.

It's two years old and out of warranty. It cost £15!! For a 12cm long cable. Waste of money.

I have a Zen DAC V2, Zen CAN and a Zen DAC signature fulfilling a couple of roles in my music listening environment. They are very well built and better audio quality than my humble ears could ever complain about - I find myself listening to the music and forgetting about the kit. I did have an intermittent issue with the DAC V2 - iFi could not have been more helpful in getting it fixed in a quick, friendly and efficient way. Full marks - no complaints.

Grabbed the Zen Can Signature MZ99 along with the Zen Dac Signature V2 to match my Meze 99 classics. Phenomenal upgrade. This stack truly unlocks the full capabilities of the Meze 99!
I was expecting maybe a 10-20% improvement in audio quality as these headphones are very easy to drive with their low impedance, and I was previously running them off the infamous Apple dongle Dac. All I can say is, the improvement feels like it is in the range of 500%, when compared to using the Apple dongle Dac. If you are not using a Dac at all with the Meze 99 Classics, then the upgrade would be even larger!

I was experiencing problems with my iFi Zen Stream dropping out after less than a minute. I contacted iFi Customer Support for help. The next day I was contacted and offered a download of a ‘Refresh File’. Unfortunately that only runs on a Windows platform-I have a MacBook. They then offered to try to fix the problem if I sent the unit in.
This I duly did. A really helpful guy from iFi, named Liam, then constantly liaised with me as to the progress of the hoped for fix. Needless to say Liam indeed fixed the machine, then kept it for a few days in order to carry out further tests.
I now have the Stream back and it’s working perfectly. By the way, it was out of warranty and no charge was levied.
I can only say that the Customer Support I received from iFi and Liam in particular was excellent.

I have a 1 1/2 year old Black Label Amp/DAC. I am now having problems with the unit shutting down anywhere from 5 mins to 60 mins of use. There seems to be NO WAY to contact Support to ask any questions. Their support site just runs you in circles and leads no where. I gave 3 stars because I liked the sound of the unit but now i have nothing useful to listen to.

iFi go link is fantastic and improves sound on in ear monitors a lot. I have Sennheiser ie600 and it works great.

I ordered $650 worth of products and they only sent me $50. I repeat, inside my box was a single small wire, bubble wrap and nothing else. Absolutely garbage can of an experience. Now I have to go out and buy replacements for what I needed this weekend because I depended on this joke company. I have no idea how you could possibly “forget” to put 90% of the order in the box but yup they did. So it’s apparently on me to chase this “mistake” down and make things right. what a joke. prospective buyers: I would stay the hell away.

SUPPORT WEBSITE IS BROKEN! I am an owner of MULTIPLE iFi devices. I have tried for ONE WEEK, to open a new ticket on iFi's 'support' website. NOTHING happens. It takes me to my OLD, closed tickets, but refuses to open a new ticket.
There is NO other way to get anyone at iFi to pay attention. No phone #, no Chat...nothing. THIS is not customer service.

I purchased one of the company's new LAN Silencer products from a well known online retailer. The product arrived quickly and when examined was very well packaged and well built. My A/B testing of the product confirmed for me that there were positive things the device was doing. I am very pleased and feel the product is well worth the modest cost.

What really made the contact with iFi a cut above however was when I emailed tech support with a question about how to deploy the device if a network switch was involved. The answer I received was well thought out and comprehensive and led me down a path that was satisfactory on all counts. They could have easily just tried to sell me more product, instead they gave a very good solution and reasoning behind it.

A++ experience. Their response did prompt me to purchase a second unit for my office setup so I am all set.

Bought the ifi hip dac 2 a bit more than a year ago. Using it on planar earphones and open planar headphones as they lack the kick/bass that closed dynamic headphones give. The little button that does wonders for me is the xbass button. Widens the soundstage just a tiny bit more on the planars (they are known to have great soundstage already so not a lot of noticable improvement to make there anyways) but makes genres such as metal, edm, hard rock or just any song that wants you to listen to it on loud volume so you can "feel" the power of the song. Amazing little pocket toy. Recommend it!

What great sounding stuff you make! I am really impressed. I thought I would never listen to Bluetooth through the Hi-fi system. But I had to buy a Bluetooth receiver for my wife. OMG! You nailed it.

I opened a support ticket for a Hip-DAC unit due to hardware issues. After trying several suggested troubleshooting steps, iFi told me to send the unit to them to get a repair estimate (unit is out of warranty). The unit was received by iFi but they are not responding to my inquiries anymore. The only means to communicate with iFi support that I know is through the support ticket website.

Abysmal support denying any liability two months into their guarantee for failed accessory.
Will be seeking redress.
