Highly Recommended
I have been with HUB for a number of years (previously called Gulf) and have both gas and electricity through them. I have always found them to be very competitive with their fixed price tariffs. Communication is always clear and the website too. If you use less fuel than expected you are given the opportunity to lower your direct debit which is good. If I have had to contact them the staff have always been helpful. My only issue is that this year I have had to agree to have smart meters fitted in order to take advantage of the best deal, something I didn’t want to do as I was very happy submitting monthly readings and was always on time. However, I do understand there is a government push to do this, but it’s a shame there wasn’t an alternative option on a similar tariff for loyal customers who do not want smart meters.

I can see that you are currently on our Smart Choice tariff. As part of this tariff we will arranging for second generation SMETS2 smart meters to be installed in your home. This is free of charge for you and will eliminate the need for you to provide us with manual meter readings going forwards, as we will receive these from the smart meters.

Trouble free changeover to Hub
Trouble free changeover to Hub, communication has been fine. To date I have no negative experiences.
I'm still waiting for my old smart meter to be replaced with a modern one that functions, but that delay must be due to the pandemic.

Been with HUB about 3 months so far
Been with HUB about 3 months so far. Easy and quick to switch.
Clear bills and the only contact I've had was to amend my direct debit payments which were done without any problems.
Hoping they can install a smart meter asap as my meter is difficult to get to.
