Just switched from another supplier and it was so simple and quick to do. Looking forward to saving money now I’ve moved.

This is a useless company DO NOT USE!
This is a useless company that offer great rates but no customer service. They offered a utility service for Gas & Electricity with Smart Meters but they dont read the meter and want monthly readings! They also dont answer the phone or have an email address for queries.
How do I get out of a contract with a company that do not speak to customers?

The very simple idea of me supplying a meter reading monthly then receiving a bill a few days later is ideal. DD amounts are not ludicrous and so far my involvement with Hub has been positive. Was happy to renew my annual fixed price contract at the start of the year.

Smart Meter?
Price reasonable. Contacted every month for a meter reading on the same day and bills clear and easy to understand. Why not 5* because when I switched from Shell Energy my ‘smart’ meter ceased to be smart and now some 14months later Hub Energy have not managed to come up with a replacement meter - a pain!

Upon checking your account, I can see that you currently have first generation Smart Meters known as SMETS1 type smart meters.
These types of meters were originally installed to operate using a SIM card, and would only connect to the installing supplier. Now, there are SMETS2 meters, which first connect to a centralised network via an independent body known as the DCC (Data Communications Company) and they pass the reading on the the relevant supplier.
Over the next few months, SMETS1 meters will have a remote update to allow them to function as a SMETS2 meter, meaning the smart functionality will continue as you change across suppliers. The update will be completed remotely by the DCC meaning there is no interruption to your supply. When your meter is remotely updated, your existing in home display (IHD) will also be updated to display your HUB energy tariff. If you don't have an IHD, we regret to advise we are not in a position to provide a new one for you.
As all SMETS1 meters are being integrated into the new SMETS2 network, this negates the need for you to have SMETS2 meters installed, as in time, we'll be able to connect to these. Please note that we don't have any control over when your existing meters will be added to the SMETS2 network.
We ask that you continue to provide us with meter readings each month if you can, this will help us to ensure we're billing you accurately until such a time that we can connect to your existing meters.

Have had good service from HUB
The offered price did not hold so had to except a higher price to fix the deal. Needed to accept as soon as offered but I like to look around before committing for the coming year which can take time to check through. Would like to know that to be able to react to the e-mail quicker.

This company charged us as a business…
This company charged us as a business for a residential property. They billed us before we even moved into the property and sent a debt collection agency round the week we moved in to our new home. Very embarrassing! Avoid at all cost ! A complete shambles of a company.

Fooled once not twice
Hub Energy, formally Gulf, seem to be a progressive company, you provided a monthly meter reading and you would get an accurate bill, they do overtake on the monthly payment and I’m now 2 months in credit. I was on a fixed deal and my bills said I could save more if I switched (60 quid surcharge) saving looked like a couple of hundred thought ok wait till contract ends, ah fell for the trap savings never appeared and bill have gone up, will move next year don’t fool me twice!!.
