Do not use this company, absolutely useless, took my money for 4 years & didn’t pay out when I had a genuine injury along with doctors notes & tax returns. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Everyone we dealt with was very kind, helpful and supportive throughout the claim period and payments were made promptly. Starting the claim was easy through the website. Great communication either by phone or email.
We never thought we would have to make a claim when we took out the insurance but we are so glad we did as the money helped us through a difficult time.

Worse company to deal with. We were paying them since more then a year and now we put a claim they rejected it. They don’t consider a DR/GP sick note. Worse claim adviser name Helen. She loves her voice and doesn’t let you speak. We are chasing them since a month now. DONT GO TO THIS COMPANY THRY WILL TAKE UR MONEY AND WILL NEVER APPROVE ANY Claim.

Very intrusive I feel I’ve been treated very poorly I’ve been asked many questions financial details quite in-depth and for access to my medical files very private information I’ve had a complete hip replacement and return to work just after 6 weeks for some reason they made the decision I have not suffered a financial loss because I could still draw a wage from my business account

I presented all details needed 2 times now
( Waiting 10 weeks)
Still no verification
Still no wages
No mortgage paid as I had to spend a lot of money to help me get back to work
I've resigned work and need to wait until 18.8.25 for my wages ?

This seems to be very unworthy
Too many people involved with my claim
Passed around
No one has any factual.info as required
I need to hand to legal authorities & ombudsman if required
My monthly payment increased also after 2 months of subscription ??

Terrible experience with this company. Had to wait for almost 3months and endless emails and asking for updates. Ended up doing most of their work myself. Threatened legal action before they decided to act. Please make sure you do not have any company property ie company car…

I had to make a claim through Holloway after injuring myself on my motocross bike and was unable to work. Throughout the whole claims process Holloway were absolutely faultless and I can’t thank them enough. Friendly, helpful staff who reacted quickly to each of my emails/phone calls. Certainly an insurance I will never cancel.

august 23 I had a right knee replacement and then Jan 24 had my left knee replacement I have received nothing short of the best from H/F always friendly caring always straight forward to deal with this has taken a lot of the anxiety away from me during a difficult time. I cannot thank you enough

I strongly advise anyone considering Holloway Friendly to stay away.

I took out an income protection policy with full honesty, disclosing my diagnosis of low testosterone and ongoing TRT. I answered all application questions truthfully and to the best of my knowledge — I had no diagnosis, no treatment, and no history of any mental health condition such as stress or depression.

After months of delays, repeated requests for documents, and zero transparency, they cancelled my policy entirely when I made a claim — citing “non-disclosure” based on my GP’s mention of symptoms like fatigue and low mood linked to my already disclosed condition.

They used these vague and non-diagnosed symptoms as a technicality to cancel the entire policy — not just decline the claim — despite the fact that I had acted in complete good faith and provided everything they asked for.

If they believed those symptoms were relevant, they had every opportunity to ask follow-up questions during underwriting. Instead, they waited until a claim was made, dug through my medical records, and found a convenient excuse to void the policy. I’ve now submitted a formal complaint and will be escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman.

This company is not “friendly.”
They are ruthless, evasive, and designed to protect themselves, not you. Don’t be fooled by their branding — if you’re looking for genuine protection, go elsewhere.

To Holloway reply:

Your reply is disappointing. I provided all medical and financial info honestly, including an additional email with disclosures your own adviser confirmed was acceptable. You later claimed you couldn’t find that email — until I sent it again.

The claim was dragged out for 8 weeks, with repeated document requests. When you found no reason to decline it, you resorted to referencing a single line in my GP notes during a Covid illness — wrist pain — to justify retroactively voiding the policy on a technicality.

That’s not responsible underwriting. That’s avoiding a payout.

I signed up to there service and i did explain my past health conditions. I was asked by the agent of caspian if anything had happen to me in the last five years.
I explained that I had episode of psychosis in 2017. Then the agent said that's fine and we procede with the police and when I injured my rest at work on October 2024 then after 4 weeks I then decide to put a claim in and for over 2 months I was left to deal with it. Without any support as it states you can get support for your well being. In this day 15/01/25 I received a call saying that they are suspending my police and not cover my claim. I have kept paying till this day . I will go and take futher action in my rights as UK citizen.

Had a really big case with a client - it went into underwriting because of a very minor disclosure and Kate Banon (best person there) made it simple and easy to review this clients case and have it live the same day!!
