Since 2002, we’ve been providing short term spot and contingent staffing to public and private health and care providers, helping keep services running for patients and communities with on-framework, sustainable and compliant staffing. Working with our sister brands HCRG Staffing and Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, our mission is to be the first call for sustainable workforce solutions to the NHS and private sector and be the go-to provider for high acquity care and outsourced services across the acute, community and mental health sectors. Through our five branches across the United Kingdom, we’ve placed candidates at more than 450 employers over the last 12 months – and they keep coming back. In fact, we’re the second largest provider of health and care staffing in the country and are listed on every major NHS staffing framework meaning it’s easy (and cost effective) to work with us. Our clients like us because we understand the challenges they face and because we’re in it for the long term. Our candidates like us because we provide them with access to the right roles, at the right time again and again. After all, our group delivers more than 5 million hours of health and care services every year too – so we know what it takes, and we’re here for the journey.

Overseas recruitment
HCL helped with my recruitment from the Caribbean into the UK, they were professional and helpful, very patient I must say! They ensure I got into a Trust that was supportive and within a part of the UK I wanted. Brilliant advise and support. Provided me with study materials for my exam. A few minor hiccups since I had to travel outside my island a few times to complete my CBT exam and my visa processing however it was all clarified in the end! Thank you to Gwyneth Barrett and the HCL team! Today I'm based in one of the top NHS Trust and thriving for excellence!

My experience was great until I landed…
My experience was great until I landed in the UK and was left stranded at the airport for over 10 hours. As proper arrangements were not made for my transport from the airport to the hospital. I had to wait until another flight came in from the Philippine with two other people before I was picked up.

Never got my referral bonus
Never got my referral bonus. Very bad. How was I contacted? As I still have my email address and one of your colleagues Marcela Pereira sent me an email when I sent this review. I just called the number in your reply now to be told she is on annual leave and the one who answered doesn't even work in her team. I am very disappointed in this reply because it's never true you tried to contact me because I contacted you guys several times with no avail and I have all the email trails
