DO NOT ORDER!!! Horrendous company, took 4 weeks to refund me and even then I had to force them into it! And they took 18% off my refund amount as a re-stocking fee! They are an absolute joke, not based in the UK and you have to pay postage costs to the US to return items! DO NOT ORDER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Has anyone received a refund? I sent the rubbish stuff back 4 weeks ago and I am being completely ignored. I ordered £250 worth. Any advice on what to do??

Totally awful experience took ages to get here they are based in the US not the UK, sent the wrong size are now charging me a restocking fee for returning and also 6 weeks on still no refund. Total waste of time.

Not a great place to buy costumes and their communication is awful!! I ordered a freddy kruger costume for halloween, they sent just a jumper after the pictures showed the full costume for £47. Then on returning the jumper i have not heard anything back and still no refund even though i sent it back 3 and half weeks ago!! Not happy at all

Very poor quality, disappointed as spent a lot of money on a few outfits.
Would not recommend and need to now buy something else as it looks that bad to wear.

I returned a Halloween costume weeks ago. It was poor quality and resembled that of a bin bag. I spent around £40 and am still waiting on a refund. I have reached out numerous times with no reply. Their chat function doesn't even work. AVOID

Ordered from UK on October 10th. No delivery today even (November 1st) and they claim I have received.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING
Ordered a mini bowler hat on the 06th October for Halloween and i'm still waiting.
I've emailed several times and chatted to the chatbot and the response was decidedly unimpressive.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Paid £15 express delivery and did not arrive , this is an American company not a UK company avoid like the plague

I left this years Halloween costumes for last minute and had to scramble and look hard to find something for the short amount of time I had. Saw the low score reviews of Halloweencostumes which made me hesitant of buying. Luckily there were two reviews of late, which made me decide to take a chance. I’m so glad I did. It arrived two days later as said and the wigs are perfect. I also bought the severed hand, it is more than what I expected. They deserve a 5 star rating.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. I don’t often write reviews so when I do it means something.

The customer service team ‘Abby’ specifically had the rudest tone, told me to address any delivery issues with their carrier that it has nothing to do with them. When I had no message from the carrier, no tracking details , no confirmation of anything just the Halloween website emailing to say it’s been delivered.

Will never order from here again and encourage others to avoid this place. Should have read the reviews prior…my bad there.

Poor quality, everything we got was broken in some way.
Skull cane I bought came with the wrong parts and literally fell apart. The expense just isn't worth it. Shop elsewhere.

So just like everyone else - placed the order, read the reviews and then regretted my decision! Felt that it would take forever to come since it’s from the US.

Nope - literally took 2 days to arrive and the costume is fantastic (I did pay for express shipping). Around now is peak halloween season so I thought it would come late. It actually came sooner than my friend who ordered from a UK website!

Saw the perfect costume but the size was out of stock…. Signed up to alerted…. 3 days later got the email saying it’s back in stock so placed the order…. Thought the shipping cost was a bit high but ordered anyway…

Then I decided to check Trustpilot …. My heart sank !!!! All the negative reviews….. so when I received the email confirming my item had been shipped a day later I was surprised …. Ordered Thursday, shipped Friday and just received it Monday Morning….. it’s not a UK business however I cannot fault the speed of transaction, completion along with the item is spot on !

I ordered a halloween Ninja Costume from halloweencostumes.co.uk & after ordering I googled the reviews to see this website and was worried due to the high number of poor reviews about scams and custom charges, however my personal experience has been 10/10.

Many reviews on here are from uk customers who state it’s a scam due to the website stating it’s .co.uk but it’s in fact based in America; however the original website is .com & 100% legit & if you look on that website it states they ship to the uk on the .co.uk website instead, making it all legit and not a scam lol.

Reviews also state of here they had to pay customs charges but i personally didn’t, maybe it depends on the weight but my costume was a standard size in a A4 package & no customs fee.

Delivery was also quick ordered on the 11th Oct & said it would be expected by the 24th but got it on the 22nd :)

People don’t often write good reviews only bad ones so I thought I would write this for those wanting to order from the website or who have already ordered and see that my experience was perfectly fine!

Needed a costume for a huge fancy dress fiesta in Benidorm and found 'Halloweencostumes.co.uk' online.
I found a costume I liked from the 'Alice in Wonderland' theme to compliment my partners existing costume.
I ordered it and paid extra for 2 day delivery, costing me just shy of £93 inclusive.

I am normally very sceptical about many things, especially online shopping as I have been stung in the past but I thought I should be pretty safe as the site had .co.uk after it.

I checked online reviews after ordering and my heart sunk! 😔
Abysmal reviews citing 'sham' company, 'fake', 'rip off' etc etc.
Apparently it is shipped from the US & not the UK!!!

Hope all but vanished into thin air.....☹

48 hours later I received my package all the way from Minnesota (a place dear to my heart actually) to Middlesbrough UK delivered by UPS!!!

I opened the package with low expectations to be honest and was utterly gobsmacked.

My costume not only fit perfectly, it was packed neatly and was an exact replica of the online photo.
No damage, all present and correct and the quality was very good.

I am over the moon. It just goes to show that not everyone has the same bad experience.
Whether I have been fortunate, who can say?
I prefer to believe that my affinity with my Minnesota friends and my visits there helped get it "over the line" and on time 😉😁

Awful company. Waited ages for my slippers to arrive, I ordered a size 5 but was sent a size 6 and was thinking they were going to be too big but turns out I couldn't even get my foot inside them! They were more like a size 3!!! Awful!!!!

Scam.
They use false advertising.
£30 for a toddler costume that was made in a sweat shop.
Aviod at all costs.
Will be going to HR to report this this company.
