I am so frustrated. Been trying to cancel an order placed in error since yesterday. Cannot raise anyone via phone, email, Twitter or Facebook. Just dreadful.

Updated. Whilst the first email I sent was shortly before 5pm, I did also contact you the next day via various sources during business hours and I am glad to say that we sorted it in the end. Thank you.

Update 19 January: arrgh: I’ve received an email saying that the order I cancelled over a month ago cannot be stopped despite the assurance below from Gorilla Sports that it had been stopped. I really could do without this! Not impressed.

Pathetic!

Ordered a set of weights! Was told it would take 2 weeks to deliver! It took nearly 4 and when it did get delivered half of the order was missing! 3 out of 5 parcels were delivered. They told me the other 2 would get delivered separately in due course!

After waiting for a further 3 weeks, still nothing. They told me to hang on as the outstanding parcels were definitely on their way however; 2 weeks later still nothing! Opened an Ebay case which was quickly dismissed as Gorilla Sports blatantly lied and provided Ebay with a tracking number for 1 of the 3 parcels that actually were delivered! And to my disbelief Ebay believed them! An absolute criminal unprofessional and dishonest thing to do by Gorilla Sports!

Incredibly angry about this! I feel robbed and cheated! Paid a lot of money and waited nearly 10 weeks and I have only half an order and the only response to emails or complaints is them briefly replying with 'We are dealing with it' or 'The order on its way'! All lies!!!

AVOID at all costs; they don't care about their customers and lie through their back teeth to keep your money!!

I noticed they have also managed to get the negative feedback that I left for them on Ebay removed somehow; and it seems they are doing this for lots of their unsatisfied customers to try an cover up their incompetency! Funny how they have lots of negative feedback everywhere else and hardly any on Ebay! This company are absolute rotten rats and to respond to your reply on here about getting in touch to request a refund; Well I already have...and lots of times and each time you lie to me and give empty promises so why would I believe you now after all this? Worst company I have ever dealt with and you are also corrupt! The fact that you try to delete, hide cover negative reviews up is criminal! Stick your apology and your refund offer you know where... Sick of your lies!!!

I ordered a few weeks ago, delivery was supposed to be 24-48 hours- still waiting! you can’t get a response from them, they just raise another ticket. Before I ordered they’d reply to questions within 24 hours but since ordering… radio silence! I’m running out of time before I have a birthday girl with no present!

Sent two emails querying products waited a week for a response both times but no reply. A company that can't be bothered to answer sales queries is a company to be avoided.

Ordered back in January February time but find it sufficient to leave a review as my product took nearly 2 months to arrive lol worst company I've ever dealt with

We purchased the teen athelete package.

There was no fitness video in the box and there are no instructions for the straps & different attachments. The link to the installation videos within the instruction booklet does not work.

I contacted Customer service but they did not answer my queries. My son is unable to use the product it has caused frustration & meltdowns & was a total waste of money

Had a struggle over lockdown with borders and the pandemic, but stayed in weekly communication with updates.
When I explained to them that I originally wanted to get a set of x2 5kg & x2 10kg but it was out of stock when I purchased, they compensated for the delay by sending the 5kg’s free of charge. Easier to go to a store and buy equipment, but will be coming back here instead 100%. Thank you Gorilla Sports

Ordering weights during lockdown was never going to be easy due to shortages in stock everywhere. Gorilla sports provided estimate delivery dates when I pre-ordered. I gave it roughly 2-3 weeks after the estimated date before emailing for an update. They responded almost straight away with an updated delivery date. I have now received the item and I'm incredibly happy with it. Excellent company.

Just not good enough for a business likely to receive orders in 4 digits. They leave you in the dark with no actual tracking of the order until it reaches the final courier (ie their website states wrong status, checked with customer services). Then use everyone least favourite courier, meaning you don't get a chance to pick a delivery date, safe place, etc. "It's already on the truck". Contacting their customer service about this solved nothing, and only gave me a very uninterested blasé reply without even a glimpse of apologies, or offered solution.

Considering we're building commercial gym and were just casing businesses to see which is reliable, I guess it's lucky to have realised gorilla sports isn't before handing them £1000s

I made an order and was told it was dispatched and on the way, that it would take 7-10 days to get to the UK before I'd receive my tracking email.
That never came through and I contacted them 2 weeks after I received that and was told that they would "look into it" to which there was no follow up.
I had to go back to them after 5 days and they then admitted it never made it to the UK and that I could have it re-dispatched.
They then told me that it would take 2-3 weeks to arrive which I questioned and they told me it actually wasn't in stock and that I'd have to wait.
This is a huge disappointment as I'd ordered from them before and had no problems, even when some of my items were damaged in transit.

I would definitely order from this company again, their customer care is second to none. We did have a an issue or two (one missing piece and one damaged piece) but both issues were dealt with effectively and efficiently. This was a gift for my daughter who was delighted with the products and would definitely order from them again.

Poor experience so far. Got an email to say my order is ready to dispatch, please allow 7-10 days. It's been a lot longer than that and I've still not received any update from them. I emailed today and got a very rude message back to say "be a little more patient". I was also informed that I would receive the tracking links 7 days later. I followed this up but they said my parcel has been lost in the post and they will refund it. Still haven't got my refund.

I do not trust these guys at all now. Avoid.

Used them twice now. First time I ordered a preacher bench and I was sent one half of the wrong bench. It took some time but they rectified it although left me with the job of disposing of half an unwanted item.

Ordered a wall mounted plate rack for standard plates recently, however, the rods are too big for a standard plate making it useless. They have advised that I send it back at my own cost which for a 10kg or so item will be pricey.

Overall, they are slow to respond but their customer service is ok. Bit disappointing that I've had two useless products delivered and I'm sure this is unusual given the other reviews. I wasn't expecting to pay to return something which again is disappointing.

IMO the companies that offer the best customer service during this time will be the companies that succeed after lockdown when everyone is back in the gyms.

I ordered pre-ordered some weight plates from Gorilla Sports in early January and was promised delivery in early March, but the item was delayed again and again. It was finally dispatched the first week of April but it was never delivered. It was supposedly lost in the post by DHL but I doubt it was ever in stock. In the end I had to accept a refund (April 24) due to stock shortages. I would never order from this company again. Such a waste of time.

Although I had quite a long delay on the weights bench, this was due to Brexit & Gorilla sports did all they could to get the bench to me. Communication was good and I felt kept uptodate all the way through. I would use them again.

I had originally out of frustration left a negative review here of Gorilla Sports UK, but having exchanged emails with them and put the whole matter into context I have sympathy for their issues.

Working for a large importer and exporter myself and with the hindsight of a couple of months since I placed my order, my own business experience of shipping from China and Brexit this year shows how difficult things are for companies in the UK.

For the past few years a container from China to the EU cost around $1500, due to most EU ports being stuck and full of containers with PPE at the end of 2020 there was a massive shortage and containers in China and costs went up in early January to a peak of around $15,000 and even then if someone was willing to pay more you'd lose the shipping space. Due to Covid there has also been less vessels sailing and I'm seeing orders delayed my company has placed with China.

Added to that, Brexit isn't a free trade deal, if you ship goods from China into Europe and then from Europe to the UK as Gorilla Sports do, there are now additional tariffs to pay, and a mountain of paperwork, that only became known in December 20. There we no systems in place to manage the deal the UK and EU signed and again from my own company perspective it is taking weeks and in some cases months to clear goods into Europe. Hauliers and freight forwarders are having to learn as they go, DPD shut their systems down because they wasn't coping and most UK to EU shippers turned away contracts.

All of these factors are outside of the control of Gorilla Sports. I didn't want to wait for my orders as there was some delay and I could buy alternatives elsewhere, they dealt with my refund promptly. If you are happy to wait and checking their website will give you visibility, then this is an honest and genuine company, once things settle back down when I will use them again.

I pre-ordered and paid for some weights on 9th Feb. The website showed they would arrive at the start of March. It then changed to Mid March, then the end of March, then April and so on. Not once did anyone contact me.
I asked for a refund. I eventually received a response saying a refund would be processed immediately. A day later someone else e mailed me to ask if I'd consider waiting but I thought the refund had already been processed at that point. I checked my statement, no refund. I contacted them again, 3 times and no response in a week. I am now forced to dispute this through my credit card company as it appears they are ignoring my e mails.

I believe this is a scam, put some items on the site for pre-order, take the money, refuse to give it back and then never deliver. Like someone else suggested, I think I will also contact trading standards.
