Problem sorted very quickly
There was a glitch on the system so money I deposited was shown as pending and not taken from my nab account. I contacted CHIP who got back to me and immedietely sorted it speedily with no fuss. Excellent communication

Avoid - Impossible to move your Cash ISA out!
Everything was fine until I tried to move my "smart" cash ISA to a more competitive provider. They rejected the transfer claiming missing information when I made sure to provide every single detail (including the ISA reference number).
This type of account weirdly doesn't have a sort code and account number - this brilliant idea may have something to do with the rejection, or they just simply don't want to accept customers stop using their services.
This is definitely not the way to try to retain customers.

We’ve now reached out to you directly to explain what happened with the transfer and provide some further clarity around the information required. We appreciate that the Smart Cash ISA uses a reference number rather than the usual sort code and account number, which can make the transfer process less straightforward with some providers.
We certainly don’t want to make it difficult for customers to move their money elsewhere, and we hope our explanation has helped clear things up.

I rate this company two stars
I rate this company two stars. Competitive rates. However if you are taking the cash ISA read the small print. You can't do partial transfers out. Secondly they take a couple of days if you withdraw money. Trading 212 is instant on withdrawal and allow partial transfers. They pay less interest but it depends on your own needs.
29/9/26 - The replies are always the same bland drivel. Sorry you are disappointed but we are going to do nothing to change. I will be moving my funds as it's not good enough. Digital banking doesn't take two days to transfer electronic money. Chip must be smoking crack to think it's anything but bonkers.

I was concerned about my ISA transfer from another provider (not that it was overdue - I just felt I was in limbo). Got an immediate response, and the transfer was completed very soon afterwards.

I have been with Chip for about a year…
I have been with Chip for about a year - the App is brilliant and so easy to use. They offer a good range of standard financial products but are constantly innovating and releasing new features and services. I do use another bank as well atm but the technology isn’t as good and the innovation is lacking.
I intend moving more of my savings and investments to Chip as is my wife, as I feel there is a lot more to come.
