It is so good to have a company do a job for you and everything is done correctly. Front Steve who did the home visit, answered all of our questions and gave us very competitive quotes. He also did no hard selling and happily waited a few weeks whilst we got quotes from other companies. The team that did the fit were very professional and did a great job. Also the office support staff that completed all the paperwork and registration of the system were very efficient. All in all a great professional company that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a home battery fitted to their solar panels.

I recently had the pleasure of working with GB Solar on the installation of a triple array solar PV system with battery storage, and I must say, the experience exceeded all expectations. From the initial consultation with the Sales Manager, Steve, to the final installation, the team at GB Solar demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and exceptional customer service. All questions were promptly answered by Steph in the office, and the full certification and hand over documentation were swiftly sent over once available.
The installation process itself was nothing short of excellent. The roofer, Jack, did the hard work up top, Dan and George did the clever bit in the garage and Josh oversaw the full project and carried out all the testing for the certification. Not only did they complete the job in a timely manner, but they also paid great attention to detail, resulting in a finished product that not only functions flawlessly but also looks incredibly tidy.
Overall, my experience with GB Solar was nothing short of exceptional. The entire team's dedication to excellence, combined with their expertise and professionalism, made the process smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. I was looking for a battery system to go with solar i already had,spoke to 2 other companies before i rang GB, from start to finish very polite efficient and most of all at a very competitive price, knew the product they were selling, the after sales is just as good. Highly recommended.

Although I knew a little about solar and battery taking that step to an install was quite a leap. I did not have any recommendations so I did my research selecting a number of approved installers (from Givenergy my preferred equipment) and asked them to quote. where GB Solar stood out was the communication, they listened, listened to what I wanted and what my specific requirements were and how I intended to use my panels and battery. They were knowledgeable about the tariff I was using and why that was important to me but were also able to advise on elements I did not consider. This high level of communication and understanding was the same throughout the process no matter who I spoke to at GB Solar. The day of the install was no different and was completed without any issues and the install team were great, again communicating with me throughout the day to make aware of what was being done etc. Two weeks from the install I am seeing results in excess of what I expected and my goal of not drawing power from the grid during my peak hour billing is being achieved and it is only February. I would highly recommend GB Solar to anyone that was thinking of looking to install Solar/ battery or both.

This is a great company. We were recommended by a friend. There was no selling just helpful and knowledgeable discussion about what we wanted. We explored several options and settled on what we needed. The price is comparable with other solar panel quotes. They came when they said they would, the installation was quick. The plan for what work was to be carried out at my property was explained beforehand. Whilst the installers were on site they asked relevant questions and gave us information on the system and how the work was progressing. We had our own contracts manager assigned to us and he was on site throughout installation. The installers and electricians completed my install in 2 days.

I chose 3 companies to produce quotes for the installation. GB Solar’s Steve really impressed me with the depth of his presentation, raising several issues that I had no idea even existed. Their quote was in the middle of the 3 I received but the quality of the presentation persuaded me to go with GB Solar. The installation team were of equally high quality. The installation was completed quickly and without problems. No mess was left behind. All in all a very happy experience.

I have avoided solar panels previously due to the number of cowboys in that field.GB Solar were totally the exception to this.From initial quote by Steve and site visit by Steve&Gareth the installation was smooth and to a very high standard.As an electrical engineer I know what a high standard of installation/process is and this certainly was. I couldnt fault it and I'm not easily pleased.Gareth answered all my technical questions.Also add my thanks to Josh who helped resolve a couple of queries.All documentation/warranty was first class including the export permissions.We have now had 4 months data/savings which have exceeded my expectations on winter days.As I have said to friends there is a capital cost but in my opinion ROI will take less time than I had thought and electricity prices are unlikely to reduce in the future whats not to like!!
Its rarely I recommend a company but in this case Id certainly recommend GB Solar .

I don’t usually do reviews as I expect a good product and service as a matter of course. However when I encounter an exceptional company I like to let everyone else in on the information.
GBsolar are just this type of company, I had a system of battery storage and Solar PV array installed.
From the very first contact the communication with sales and technical was first class, with several options being regarded and proposals raised the final decision was made, site visits were arranged, permissions were applied for and installations set to begin. The install team were professional and respectful and delivered a quality job. Start to finish was about 2 weeks !
The final documentation quickly followed, and now a few months later the system has been faultless.
Highly recommended.

Helpful initial consultation the phone,followed up by useful home visit from Steve. No hard sell.Very compeditive prices. Team arrived for fitting our battery exactly on time. We had a problem with getting an acceptable earth for emergency back up supply and the extra equipment had to be removed.We were not charged for this.The user interface from Givenergy is fantastic. Our battery supplies the house for almost all the day, even without significant solar generation. I would reccomend GB Solar to anyone wishing to invest in a battery( and presumably solar panels)

Highly recommend this firm. Their prices are competitive and their service is excellent. Due to our difficult roof they went above and beyond to project manage work on our roof line to enable the installation of panels. All was done efficiently with all the work completed in 2 days. Their staff team are really helpful. What we also recommend is their post installation support which enables them to monitor your system and provide ongoing support.

If you're thinking of fitting Solar panels then definitely give GB Solar a call. Their price was very competitive and everyone I dealt with regarding my installation were top notch. The installers left the work area clean & tidy and the installation was neat. Overall I am very happy with every aspect of my installation and would highly recommend GB Solar.
