An excellent experience with GB Solar following our recent solar installation. From start to finish they have been extremely professional, responsive and knowledgeable…..and continue to be so in terms of post installation support. Steve and Josh patiently answered all my initial questions and concerns. Daniel, Sam and team were brilliant in doing the installation. Really neat and tidy work. Nothing was ever made to feel like a problem, which was very good for me as, living in an old house with all its quirks, I’d been quite nervous about it beforehand. What’s been very reassuring is that I still continue to feel supported by Gareth, Steph and the team even though the work is completed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend GB Solar to anyone looking to undertake a similar project! Thank you.

It has been a few weeks since my installation.
I did some research about systems and installers and the reviewsfor this family company were brilliant, obviously i had a few companies around for a quote, some were giving the hard sell & some were trying to sell me something i didn't want & not listening to me. I can honestly say, from the first contact with Steve the sales manager it felt very comfortable & extremely knowledgeable, listened to what needed from the system and advised me what they could do for me. And at a great price.
The installation guys were also prompt keeping me updated on there progress very professional,clean & tidy workmanship.
So I have no hesitation in highly recommending GB Solar as my experience has been 5 star.

From the moment Steve came to do the survey I felt confident that I’d chosen the right company. Everyone was very knowledgable and the install was done to a very high standard. I’m very happy with everything and it’s been running smoothly for the past 4 weeks. A few of the panels were damaged in transit and they were swapped without any quibble straight away. I would definitely recommend using them, they aren’t the cheapest but you get what you pay for which is attention to detail and a tidy install.

On 9th Jul’25 GB Solar installed for me a TESLA Powerwall 3 battery. I had started my enquiry with four different suppliers, swiftly reduced to three. Each had quite different proposals. My power supply is unusual for a domestic property in that it has a 3-phase power supply. This caused considerable discussion; i.e. did the battery need to be a 3-phase battery or not? I wavered between all three suppliers before finally choosing GB Solar and their single-phase Tesla Powerwall 3. I must have worn them all out with my endless quest to understand each proposal. In the end, it was Steve Brown’s passionate advocacy for the Tesla that won me over.
The installation took just under 5 hours and the two guys, Dan and Sam, were brilliant. They were cheerful, polite, well turned out and left the place neat and tidy. More importantly, they had endless patience explaining to me how the Tesla APP worked. They could have finished half an hour sooner I’m sure, but they never showed any sign of impatience with my slowness. Two days later I got a call from Josh who wanted to check up to see how I was getting on. There was a small problem with the app settings, which he fixed on-line as we spoke. He then went to answer, yes, more questions from me. A very helpful and timely call indeed.

I am extremely pleased with the Tesla Powerwall 3. Mine is in the garage but it looks good enough to not be out of place inside your home. It is silent. More importantly to me, it can charge and deliver 14.8 KW-hrs of energy vs the advertised 13.5 kw-hrs. Free of charge, that increases my level of savings by almost 10%. Marvellous!

From installation which was very clean and efficient to the continuous support we get, we cant praise GB Solar enough. I have recommended them to my friends and will continue to do so. Steve always calls back when I leave a message and has time to explain anything I need to know. Top Company, great product.

Had solar and battery installed by GB Solar.
I had multiple quotes but most of them wanted to give me standard packages, Gareth gave me more options and we settled on something that was a good price in relation to other quotes, and met my needs/wants more than others.

The install is smart and was fully operational straight away.

The communication has also been top notch, all the way through to getting my export mpan set up.

Having solar panels and battery system fitted is an important decision and has to be undertaken by a company who have care and knowledge. Fortunately my decision was made much easier due to my neighbour previously having GB Solar to undertake his installation and seeing how they worked. From start to finish the whole process could not have gone better, the team did a great job from quotation to completion and we are delighted with the outcome. The system is working well and since completion we have not imported any power from the grid, even managed to charge the E.V. I would certainly recommend GB Solar to any one contemplating fitting Solar Panels along with a battery system.

Bought a solar panel and battery system from GB Solar after comparing to other quotes. Their quote was a little higher but it was worth it for the quality of the installation and continuas after care. There wasn't a hard sell, so I really felt like I had time to make the right decision.

We had our panels installed in March. Very clean and efficient service. At no point had we any doubts about our choice of installers. Did the job in 2 days (slate roof) and no mess.

System works really well. We know we have been lucky with the weather since installation but we are generating lots of electricity even on duller days.

Best investment ever and so much better for the environment.

I don't know why more people don't have it done. I wish we had done it sooner.

Great service from GB Solar, from initial discussions of what could be achieved. It was extremely helpful as a newbie to all things solar and renewables, the GB Solar team walked me through planning, installation and post care.

Installation was done effectively from scaffolding to connections, and a walk through of the system to ensure we were fully aware of what we had.

Overall the experience was great, would recommend GB Solar to anyone looking to get solar panels and batteries. Next plan to work on Heat Pumps which they also cover.

From planning to completion, GB Solar have been absolutely fantastic. Everyone we have dealt with has been so friendly and efficient, every question answered in a friendly but professional manner. The aftercare is second to none with any phone call made either answered immediately or a call back received soon afterwards. The equipment provided and installed enables us to live virtually off grid. I simply cannot recommend this company enough.

Had my Solar PV with Battery installed by them. Superb service. My installation was a bit of a challenge due to the location of the mains breaker and the location of the inverter and battery. But they resolved it. I love my installation and have seen my electricity bill drop by 70% from April to May.

I have had solar panels, battery and EV charger all installed.The whole process was a breeze. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the team, if you have questions after, they get straight back to you. All paperwork was sent through promptly after install.

When I first considered having solar panels I knew very little as to what was involved or whether it would work for me. I received several quotations of varying values and follow up phone calls. Not only was GB Solar one of the cheaper quotations but what stood out for me at the first contact was the emphasis put upon personal attention to detail and the emphasis on follow up service and help along the way. Steve visited my home and explained everything that would be involved in a straightforward and helpful manner.

The work was carried out efficiently, the staff were friendly and competent and overall the experience has been trouble free. Since the installation, Steve has been so helpful guiding me through the technical challenges of getting my smart meter installed, changing suppliers and getting me on the most competitive tariff. Not being very technical, this has been a real boon.

Overall, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending GB Solar for anyone considering the installation of solar panels. The follow up after installation is just as important as the installation and on this GB Solar excelled.

I am very pleased with the solar panels and battery that GBSolar have installed. My house has a complicated roof and is tricky to scaffold but Steve who came to do the initial survey was extremely helpful at explaining the various options. The team who did the installation were very quick and efficient and it was all up and running in less than a day and a half.
Now that the system has been running for a few weeks I am impressed with how easy it is to monitor. The after sales care has been great and Steve has checked in regularly to make sure that I am happy with how the system is working and he is always available if I have any questions.
I chose GBSolar because the initial survey and quote was competitive and reassuringly informative, there was no pressure to make a quick decision and the promised aftercare has been good.
I am now looking forward to the longer days of spring and summer when the panels will start generating even more power to the house and the battery.
