Hi, my experience with GB Solar has been excellent from day one to completion. I found Steve to be an enjoyable first contact, trustworthy, dynamic and knowledgeable, yet not pushy. The installation team did a great professional job and I am looking forward to a future customer relationship with the company.
Price was very competitive and I am happy to have done business local, supporting the smaller independents.

We've had the panels installed by GB Solar for a few months now. Very happy with everything they did, Steve was a very helpful first point of contact and the whole team were very efficient and willing to help. I had other prices and GB Solar were very competitive. As far as I can tell the panels and battery are performing well (it's the depths of winter so roll on the long days!). I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

Excellent help and advice from start to finish, great to deal with a local business who obviously care. The purchase of a system is a significant expense and the details at first can seem quite daunting, all the GB Solar team made the whole process simple and easy to understand, also great communication before, during and after installation, I would thoroughly recommend this business. Now on to saving the planet!

I got in contact with GB Solar and received a personal visit from Steve in April 2024, by June I had a full solar system fitted with 9.5kw battery and fully bird proofed.
This week Jan 2nd 2025 I had a second 9.5kw battery installed to the system.
From start to finish the service has been outstanding they turned up on the dot everytime when they said they would, the installation team looked after my property with carpet covers and cleaned up after themselves, you really wouldn’t have known they’d been here.

Steve was really polite honest and explained everything to detail, answered all the questions we had, reassured us if there was issues they would be rectified.
Advised us where the best place was to have the battery pack. He also explained how the battery works with the solar panels.
I would definetly recommend him to anyone, we have even asked him questions after it was fitted and he answered them. If there was anything he didn’t know he went and found out.
Steve has also helped us with which tariffs are the best for us to help us save money and is constantly talking to us to make sure we are getting the best deals for our solar panels Steve also explains how the tariffs work and how we can save money now we have the battery pack. Also how and when we should be using the battery instead of pulling off the grid

We recently had a full system of Solar Panels, Battery and Water Heater fitted. The service from all the staff at GB Solar has been excellent. The installation went smoothly and we are now generating power..even in the UK in gloomy November. We are very satisfied and have recommended GB Solar to friends.

Now having solar power and battery is the best thing I’ve done in recent times GB Solar did a great job with the installation and it’s been working great until the other day when I had a problem so l contacted them and told them what the problem was with in no time they were on to it and sorted out the problem straight away now it’s working perfectly it’s good to know that they are there to help many thanks once again.

Advice on the best system to suit your needs, every property is different. Installation went easy, no mess.After service is brilliant, always on hand to give assistance. As for cost I couldn't find anyone cheaper, also highly recommended by a good friend.

We had solar panels, inverter and batteries installed by GB Solar, way back in April 2024. The delay in writing this review was caused by ill health. The complete installation was completed to an excellent standard within a couple of days and I have no regrets in choosing GB Solar to do the work.The on site guys were polite , tidy and very knowledgeable. Gareth, the owner of the company spent an age explaining everything to my wife and myself pre installation and there was no pressure to buy. Since install , Gareth has readily answered many queries which I have asked of him.

I originally rang and had a chat with Gareth. I was looking to install batteries as I already had panels. Gareth was helpful in answering my questions, with no pressure to buy. He then sent me information by email and was quick to reply to questions I sent him. I did get other quotes, but found them quite pushy to get a sale. Once I'd made my decision to buy from GB Solar Gareth visited to look at where to fit the battery. The two who came to do the fitting, Dan and Sam, were both polite, pleasant and hard working. I'd certainly recommend this company.

Having an ideal south facing roof I decided to investigate the possibility of installing solar panels and battery storage to reduce my energy bills. Knowing little about the technology I contacted a dozen or more companies to see what they offered. I was bombarded with emails and telephone calls offering free quotations, video consultations and appointments. Some sent quotations using a Google Earth image of the house without even contacting me to assess my requirements!

Right from the first telephone call, GB Solar stood out from the rest. Steve Brown took an interest in what I wanted to achieve and was very keen to come and survey the house personally. He explained how they could help, where all the equipment would be sited and prepared a couple of proposals based on my energy consumption. Only one other company came close in repect of the personal service but their proposal was inferior to that offered by GB Solar so there was no contest.

Once I placed the order I was kept fully informed when the installation would take place and it was commenced on the agreed date. The installation of the battery and inverter in the garage is extremely neat and tidy and still leaves plenty of room for the car! All the installation team were professional and the work was completed within 2 days. A slight issue with the wi-fi signal in the garage was resolved quickly with help from Josh.

I have been delighted with the installation from start to finish and would not hesitate to recommend GB Solar to anyone considering solar panels and/or battery storage. I have used practically no electricity (5 kWh) from the grid in the month since it was installed and am quite amazed by the energy it generates in a summer which has been the worst for sunshine I can ever remember! Not only am I using practically no electricity from the grid I am exporting all the surplus which will contribute towards my gas bill. The GivEnergy app controlling the system is superbly easy to use and provides a mine of information about how the energy is being used. I am very pleased to award 5 stars to GB Solar for a faultless transaction.

First met Steve Brown to find out whether solar panels would be useful onFarnsfield village centre.after a visit to site we received a detailed quote for the work,there were special considerations such as the village centre being in a conservation area .With Steve’s expert knowledge we were able to navigate the relevant regulations,Steve was reliable and respectful while completing all work on time and in budget.would highly recommend GB solar.

Recently widowed, I was able to do what I had always wanted and have solar panels. It makes ecological and financial sense. A friend recommended GB Solar as he was confident the company would give me the assistance I required. How great it is to deal with a local company! Everyone has been so helpful and supportive, everything is clearly explained. I know they are always there if I need any further help.

Right from the first phone call I realised that GB Solar was the company I would be using, Gareth really engaged me in the process and he definitely new is product.
After a site visit and discussing the project his guys turned up and did a fantastic installation, Dan the head installation engineer went through with me where he was going to install and did a great job.

Everyone was very helpful - from the start. Steve who came to do a home visit did a very thorough review of requirements. Took time to explain and answered all the questions. Even went up to the loft. There was no pushy sales tactics. Timely communication throughout. There was a supply issue with the Solar panels - alternative solar panels were suggested - again detailed discussion about differences. The installation team led by Josh was excellent. Everything went smoothly. Would recommend.

firstly gb solar ltd from start to finish was above and beyound with every aspect of sale and install no pressure sales pitch good communication and answered my questions with a firm grasp of their product. work was done to agreed timetable and of the highest quality.
system over the first month performing even with cloudy days mainly above my aspectations.although my wi fi connection lost at moment will figure it out when time . i know if i cant figure this out then i feel 100per cent assured i can simply ring steve.
the following words are strong recomendation not to engage the scafolding company involved in my install did not come on day agreed and steve had to chase them up, plus they when erecting around rear of my house blocked my rear door (thinking fire safety) also broke my wood gate as well, and later had a letter saying permit was not given. this is by no means gb solar fault as they are entirely the polar opposite.i only mention this as impressed by the actions taken by steve from gb solar and whole team gave a impressive air of we care. to me old school pride in there work.they kept me totally informed with these out of their control problems. so be assured that and wish to make any reader of my dealings with gb solar they are the real deal. also gb solar team installing my system impressed me with the care they took to install and clean completely up as well!!!!! in conclusion if you are looking for a solar panel and battery from this company i recomend totally.

From start to finish I was thoroughly impressed with the service received from GBSolar. I entered into the inital 'quotes phase' with limited information and concerns about the sales vs quality of information but immediately felt comfortable with the information presented. Gareth was very helpful in educating me on the process, the options, the pros and cons and at no point did I feel like there was any hard selling. He listened to what I wanted to get out of the system and came up with the options for it. I had multiple follow up calls with Gareth too to answer questions I had based on further research and other quotes I had received.

Once I had chosen the system and to go with GBSolar the customer service continued to be excellent. Updates on progress, quick turn around on the DNO paperwork and an installation date set by Steph.

The installation was first class. The team that came and fitted all the equipment were all very friendly and professional and quickly resolved a couple of issues with commissioning the system. I was given a full run down on the system and helped with access to the apps on my phone.

Post the system being installed the paperwork with the DNO was completed swiftly to allow for export tariffs to be set up and despite a manufacturer issue with one of the panels, it was resolved within a couple of days with the panel being replaced.

I've now had the system installed for around 6 weeks and couldn't be happier. Its doing exactly as promised and more.

I would highly recommend GBSolar for your Solar PV system and as a minimum worth getting an initial consultation on your needs.
