had to run around looking for a working intercom as all were broken
I pressed the intercom at the barrier to let me in as my booking didnt automatically open the gate, they told me to take a ticket "and call back to link it to your booking", so spent the next 15mins looking for a working intercom as all were broken- had to walk back to the entrance barrier to speak to them. The intercom operator said he meant link the ticket when exiting the car park with the car, when finished with the parking after flying back (not when exiting that day on foot), so why not clarify that before? He said his explanation was fine and all is being recorded, A simple apology for my inconvenience with the broken intercoms would have been bare minimum even if you don't want to admit your mistake
PS their own website directions are wrong on how to get to mid-stay parking, and the sign I saw on the ground doesnt have directional arrows on it. this also caused unnecessary confusion

Very disappointing customer service followng a medical emergency
We recently used Valley Parking South at Gatwick, but unfortunately had to abandon our holiday after a family member became seriously unwell at the airport and was deemed unfit to fly.
We returned to collect our car within four hours of dropping it off. It hadn't even been moved off-site and was still in exactly the same parking bay where we'd left it.
I want to make it clear that the guys in the office were excellent. They were understanding and helpful, and suggested that customer services should be able to reinstate our booking so we could use the parking at a later date.
Unfortunately, the response from customer services was extremely disappointing. Although they acknowledged the medical emergency and said they were sorry, they simply quoted their "one in, one out" policy and told us there was absolutely nothing they could do.
I fully understand that businesses need policies, but I also believe there should be some discretion when dealing with exceptional circumstances. We hadn't changed our minds about going on holiday. We were forced to abandon our trip because of a genuine medical emergency, completely outside our control.
We weren't even asking for our money back, just the opportunity to use the parking we'd already paid for on another occasion. Given that our car hadn't been moved and we'd returned within four hours, I don't think that was an unreasonable request.
What makes this particularly frustrating is the contrast between the helpful attitude of the staff on-site and the rigid, dismissive approach taken by customer services.
Policies are important, but so are fairness, compassion and good customer service. Unfortunately, on this occasion, customer services showed very little of any of these.
It's a shame, because the staff at Gatwick deserve credit, but the company's handling of our situation has left a very poor impression.

Don’t leave your blue badge in your car while parked
I received my disability blue badge on the day I traveled to Gatwick parking as I went in I found they parked it for you and returned it when you arrived back so I did not need my badge so put it in glove box .on my return I picked up car pulled into a services opened up my glove box to get the disability badge it’s not there it’s been stolen. Contact Gatwick parking there reply was no badge was handed in WHAT . There advice was here’s a link to apply for another badge and send us a receipt and we will give you the ten pound back . And any body who accessed your car said they sawnothing in the car . That’s a terrible way to behave disgusting

Directions not very clear once we got to airport found them a little confusing.
However, once park via valet parking customer friendly and on return was so easy and very pleasant experience. Only 5 minutes from airport arrivals and under cover.

Car park booking was amended
Car park booking was amended, email received. (Please not, anyone booking and amending, check you get email).
As usual no bother with the parking and transfer. Though thought strange, got a ticket this time.
On leaving, gate wouldn't open, pay at gate, massive bill. What?
Anyway after approx 10 minutes and customer service, all rectified.
We had a 90 year old passenger that was getting very stressed. Otherwise, problems do occur, but with no site presence, it can become a quickly escalating problem, blocking the exit with your hazard lights on.
Just a review to make sure you have as much info with you, just in case.
Generally no problems, and normally very satisfied.
