Follow the Camino Arvostelua 

This was a trip of a lifetime. I went the last two weeks of September this year 2026. The Camino Portuguese Coastal Route was beautiful. Follow the Camino was incredible to work with through every phase of planning, itinerary, rooms, baggage service. Very professional, very friendly and truly worth every dollar. I would highly recommend them to help you plan what I would call a trip of a lifetime. I will definitely use them again on all future Camino's. Buen Camino!

Everything from the planning through to the end of the pilgrimage went smoothly. The first two days of walking were somewhat tougher than anticipated due to the very high afternoon temperatures; we had arranged for early starts on both of these days which turned out to be a good choice. All of the transfers that were arranged to take us to and from hotels and the airport were impeccable arriving at the exact time and place indicated on the vouchers. Our luggage was picked up and delivered to and from our hotels exactly as indicated. The hotel and meal quality varied based on the location and overall we were happy with the choices . One thing I wish we would have requested were restaurants that offered earlier dining times, as the 7:30 to 8:30 dinners were a little late for us. Thank you to Follow The Camino for providing a memorable journey.

We had a fabulous experience with Follow the Camino. The support before and during our Camino could not be faulted. We were supported with decided on options, the places booked for us were all perfect and all arrangements made went really smoothly. Highly recommend using Follow the Camino.

Our 119km Camino Pilgrimage from Tui, Spain to Santiago de Compostela, Spain was planned to the "T"! We arrived in Santiago and were met with a taxi that took us to Tui and a hotel room awaiting us. As we walked back to Santiago our luggage was transported flawlessly to our daily accommodations. The places they reserved for us were good to outstanding. We chose to have dinner as well as breakfast included at most of our stays. Navigating the Camino was a breeze due to the Follow the Camino app which pinpointed our current location as well as our destination for the evening. They didn't provide the beautiful scenery, but Follow the Camino made the hike a wonderful and worry-free experience!

Follow the Camino delivered on what it promised. The hotels advertised were, for the most part, secured as expected, with only one change, which gave us confidence in the planning and organization. The group dinners were lovely, featuring high-quality food, and breakfasts were generally delicious.

However, what truly made this experience exceptional was our guide, Sylvia Santos. She went above and beyond at every turn, introducing us to key milestones along the Camino, preparing us the evening before each walk, and talking through options each morning to help us make the most of the day. Her thoughtful guidance and attention to detail genuinely made a difference.

As an added bonus, Sylvia is skilled in yoga and led warm-ups that helped prepare our bodies for the day's walking. This was an excellent touch and demonstrated how much she cared about our comfort, well-being, and overall experience.

With Sylvia leading the way, we felt well prepared, supported, and set up for success. She brought knowledge, warmth, enthusiasm, and a personal touch that elevated the entire journey.

In fact, I plan to book with Follow the Camino again in 2028 for the coastal Portuguese Way from Oia to Santiago, in either June or September, provided Sylvia is our guide. That says everything about the confidence and trust she inspired.

Follow the Camino provided a solid, well-organized experience, but Sylvia made it memorable. I would happily recommend the company, especially if you have the opportunity to travel with her. She truly embodies what makes a Camino journey special.

From the very first day we chose to allow Follow the Camino to plan our time on the Camino, I was impressed with their quick response, knowledge, and professionalism. A group of 11 decided to walk part of the Camino Francis and didn’t know where to begin. All the planning was done for us, with every detail included. Our trip was successful, memorable and fun! It was so nice to have everything planned out in advance.

We had an exceptional experience. Our guide Luis was great. The accommodations were very nice.

The comradery and the craic along the walk.Meeting people from all over the world both young and old.
The early morning bag drop @ 8am was
hard to do would have preferred 9am.
The delivered breakfast at Casa De Campo Cruz De Pedra Portomarin was not very appetising.
The accommodation and food and beer and wine at Palais de Rei & Lugar Boente de Arriba were excellent.
Seriouxly considering booking again next year.

Everything was organised as well as we could have wished for our Camino 2026. The Follow the Camino Team were as helpful as always, from start to finish. Any little glitches were beyond the FtC team's control. The emergency no. team were very helpful and got everything sorted for us straight away.

Several of the lodgings were way below what we had requested. There were misrepresentations and in one case, food thst was completely inedible. We will nit be using this outfit again.

Several of the towns didn’t have good Camino signs. Difficult to see or not very many .

Also, they must do something about the lack of bathrooms. There is poop
And toilet paper everywhere and this is unacceptable!!

Fernanda helped us plan a lovely trip that was perfect for my parents and I, even though it was different than what a typical customer would request. She was very accommodating, and we were very pleased with the lodging she booked and recommendations she had based on what we were looking for. We thoroughly enjoyed our Camino and hope to do it again one day!

Everything was seamless and clear which made it easy to simply put one step in front of the other.

My Camino de Santiago experience was absolutely amazing, and the itinerary from Fernanda and Follow the Camino made it easy to be in the moment and have the deep experience I sought without any stress about where I was going to be staying, if my bag would be there for me, etc. Everything went just as scripted/expected. When I had a question about a tricky accommodation, Fernanda was quick to respond mid-journey with a super clear explanation that reflected perfectly where I needed to be and do. I loved my Camino so much, and I wouldn't hesitate to trust my experience to Follow the Camino all over again.

Really enjoyed the hotels we stayed in, and our bags arrived us at every hotel except 1. It did not take too long and gave us time for lunch.

Really easy communication with company and the reality of the experience was really lovely. Accommodation was great at every stop. Would use again

It was great having our luggage picked up and hotels with breakfast booked. The accommodations were near the Camino trail. It was so nice not having to stress about finding a place to stay. We enjoyed having a day off a couple of times… gave us a chance to get some laundry done. We found 20 km was about the right distance between stops.
