Follow the Camino Arvostelua 

My first camino, starting in Sarria, was an 80th birthday present to myself, and it was fabulous! The daily distances were challenging but just right, the luggage transfer was flawless, the hotels were varied and a wonderful surprise each evening, and our guide, Silvia, was exceptional. She was kind, encouraging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and always smiling. There were 11 in my group, ages 26-80, and we all loved her! This trip was long-planned and a dream come true for me. Thank you Follow the Camino for making this one of the best experiences of my life.

The hotels were each unique and selected according to the next morning's walk onto the path. There were zero concerns with any of the accommations as well as the luggage transfer service! The drop off at the airport was scheduled, however, WAY to close to our departure time when leaving Santiago. Otherwise, my whole party was so happy with this company. The app and resources were also well organized and helpful.

I had the absolute BEST experience using Follow the Camino to plan/pre-pay/manage my journey. A friend and I joined a group doing the final 100km of the Camino Frances from Sarria. Our plans were so well-organized, and we never worried once about where we were staying. This was our first adventure of the sort, and Follow the Camino made it so seamless and enjoyable. Best of all was our guide, Silvia. She is an absolute ray of sunshine - so cheerful, so competent, so strong, so kind. She got us all processed quickly, and we had a beautiful first night dinner as a group and got to know each other a bit. We were 11 women + Silvia. She kept us on track, on time, made sure our luggage got taken to the next stop, led us through yoga warm-ups each morning, and cheered us along every day. She helped us tend any blisters or strains. Honestly, I don't want to travel anywhere again without Silvia! By week's end, we were a group of friends, and Silvia is our champion! The price for everything was very reasonable and having accommodations pre-booked, along with luggage transfers, most meals provided, and our sparkling guide let us totally relax and enjoy the incredible experience. I will book with them again. I'd go anywhere with Silvia!! :D

From start to finish Follow the Camino had everything covered . Our accommodation was fantastic . When we needed assistance, they were a phone call away and sorted the situation promptly.
I would recommend using them .

Having reservations made in advance at trusted places relieved a huge amount of worry for me. Everywhere reserved was clean and comfortable. There were even a few surprises - 2 really luxurious and glorious places were far off the trail (one about 5 miles off) but i never would have found them on my own. As fellow travelers grappled with the panic of trying to reserve completely full albergues or the misery of shared bedrooms and bathrooms, i had private baths and plenty of room to spread out all my things.

The downside is that there is no spur of the moment flexibility of course. After spending 11 days walking long distances with significant inclines all of which were fine, i was booked absurdly short distances in boring places for the last 3 days while the rest of my cohort sped ahead and stayed in far far more interesting places. When i contacted Follow the Camino to ask if they would even bother to LOOK and TRY to make a change they tersely replied NO. They wouldn’t bother.

We had a great range of accommodation and good places to eat. Everything was very well organised. Any queries we had were dealt with quickly and people were helpful in their responses. The booking process was smooth and efficient. I would happily recommend Follow the Camino to others. I had a wonderful experience, made much easier as all the organisation had been done for me and I could concentrate on walking, meeting other Pilgrims and learning more of the different places we passed through.

Macarena has made my Camino experiences easy, kind, VERY PATIENT and perfect. I am a bit of a problem child but she stepped up to all of my ongoing questions and challenges. I love Macarena in the most sincere way!!! I was a bit of a challenge which I attribute to my age and Macarena was gentle and patient!!

Thank you for a wonderfully organised Camino! Being our first experience, we had no idea what to expect and this exceeded all hopes and expectations. Everything was planned perfectly with plenty of information and the best app provided. Thank you!!

It was very easy to book the trip and access to the online platform was easy to find. Plenty of reminders along the way.
I was disappointed to find that I was not staying with the rest of my group. I had booked later but wasn’t aware until I arrived at the first hotel. One of the accommodations was difficult to find and the keys were on the opposite side of town which wasn’t great after a full day of walking. All of the places were very clean. There was one day when my luggage was delayed and didn’t get there for a couple of hours after I arrived at the hotel. So overall a good experience and with a few tweaks could be great.

I did not like a few of the accommodations. Days 1 and 3 were awful. Day 2 was good, but the accommodation was located in the middle of nowhere.

The pre planning instructions were comprehensive and helpful. The bag transport worked flawlessly and the accommodations were tailored to the travelers. Follow the Camino served as a wise guide the entire way.

Very professional reservation staff and our journey very smooth than we expected, this is our first time for Camino, we had a really great time and will come back again with another route, thanks for the arrangements! Highly recommended, you don't need to worry anything else other than yourself.

I loved the Towns I stayed at overnight. Good spacing. I did not like Pension Ahmets as it smelled of sewer. The last lodging before Burgos had the bathroom at the end of a pretty long very creaky hallway and the breakfast was not great.
I loved DonnaMaria in SJPP and the Igloo room Twice my luggage went to the wrong place, my hotel in Roncesvalles was changed but not the luggage transfer , not a big issue. In Logrono my luggage was somewhere else.. after that I checked to make sure it was going to the right place.

I was with a group of friends and there was great communication from the beginning of our planning to the end of our journey. All our questions and concerns were quickly addressed before and during our trip. We walked from Sarria to Santiago and our luggage was transported efficiently and arrived before we reached our destination at the end of our day. Having all the details managed made the walk a much better experience. I would definitely recommend you to anyone looking to do the Camino the way we did.
