Avoid FMG Repair Services
I recently used FMG Repair Services and was extremely disappointed with the entire experience.
From the very first phone call, the staff were rude and unhelpful. When I inquired about the progress of my car, I was repeatedly given false information about the stages of the repair. They could have simply been honest and told me they didn’t have the parts in yet, but instead I was misled multiple times. This lack of transparency wasted my time and eroded any trust I had in them.
When I finally collected my car, it had been washed, but that was the only positive thing I can say. No care whatsoever had been taken with the vehicle — it still had marks, dirt in the interior, and felt generally neglected. They shouldn’t have bothered washing it if they weren’t going to treat the car with basic respect.
I would not recommend FMG Repair Services to anyone. Poor communication, dishonesty, and careless workmanship. Definitely looking elsewhere for future repairs.

I recently had my vehicle repaired by FMG Repair Service and I feel compelled to share my experience, as I left deeply disappointed.

While the initial reason for my visit was addressed, I was shocked to discover upon collecting my car that the centre console had been cracked — damage that was absolutely not there when I dropped the vehicle off. This was clearly caused during the repair process.

When I raised this with the team, I was met with a flat refusal to take responsibility, and no offer was made to fix the damage. I found this response to be unprofessional and entirely unacceptable. As a customer, I entrusted my vehicle to your care, and I expected it to be returned in the same condition it was received.

A repair service's reputation is built on trust, and unfortunately this experience has damaged mine. I sincerely hope FMG reviews how damage complaints are handled, as dismissing customers without any accountability is not the standard of service anyone should expect.

My van was booked in for what should have been a minor wing mirror repair. The repair took two weeks, which seemed excessive for such a small job.

When I arrived to collect the van and return the hire vehicle, I noticed the side sliding door was slightly open despite being deadlocked. When I pulled the handle, the entire handle came off in my hand, appearing as though someone had attempted to force the door open while the van was in their care.

I immediately made staff aware of the issue and asked them to check their CCTV cameras. There was no apology, no explanation, and very little concern shown. I was simply told to leave the van again for another day, causing further inconvenience.

The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism was extremely disappointing. A simple apology and proper investigation would have gone a long way. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.this was all at the luton department

**FMG – Review**

Poor communication and repeated delays throughout my claim.

I have been advised to email for updates, but responses are inconsistent or not provided, meaning I have had to chase multiple times with very little clear information in return.

The ongoing delay has resulted in significant financial pressure, including continued rental costs while the claim remains unresolved.

I am still waiting for this to be properly concluded and would recommend caution based on my experience.

Had a repair after somebody drove into the side of my vehicle. The car door, wing and wing mirror needed repair, and they replaced the wing mirror.

Noticed afterwards that the blind spot indicator did not work, so arranged to come back. After having the car for a day they said that it wasn't them. (It worked before the incident, so to me doesn't matter if it was them or was something they should have repaired IMO). ,

They were literally shutting up as I left, but realised that now the blindspot indicator doesnt work at all on either side, and new warning lights showing on dash. Including for lane departure. I called their customer services, and had to chase for over two weeks for ANY kind of answer, without a single call back (despite promises every time).
Finally I have an email saying that they tried to recalibrate 3 times, but they don't have any record of what the error codes were.

That doesn't explain why they broke the vehicle further. I would never chose to use this outfit, highly unprofessional, and take no responsibility for having made the car worse. I expect they forgot to reconnect the system after the last test.

I highly recommend avoiding this garage, and the FMG group at all.

Absolutely awful. Car has been in for nearly a month, lied to week after week as to completion times. Checked with insurance company after another flakey call and transpires authorisation only given last week to do the work - this is subsequent to four calls advising car nearly finished. Not sure why they just cannot tell the truth

FMG at Formby dealt with the repairs to my car and did a fantastic job. Really accommodating, fast responses and great customer service. Ged was super helpful. Would defo use again. Thanks!!

My car was taken too the work shop in lakeside, too fix a very deep knife mark that went all the way from the front side all the way too the back. They kept me upto date on the progress of the repair. I went through my insurance company as I have a mobility car the courtesy car was very nice and im extremely happy with the work carried out. I would highly recommend this company. Not only professional but are fairly priced.

From the begining to the end FMG repair services were excellent. The customer service lady on the phone was helpfull and polite, as well as people who collected and brought my car back to me. They rang me each time to let me know they are coming. They've repaired my car very quickly, just over one week. I can't fault them in anything. I would highly recommend them.

The team at FMG in Govan are to be congratulated for their excellent service, from the recovery drivers to Jack and the young ladies I spoke with on reception they have been professional, kind and courteous. They are a credit to FMG. Repairs well done too, my car looks like new.
