Terrible

The worst nightmare to book air tickets through Expedia.Bought around trip tickets through them to Istanbul on Turkish Airways. On the way down every thing was smooth with 20kilo. Baggage on the way back they cancelled my reservation on Turkish airline and booked me on Pegasus Airlines with no baggage to check in. I ended up paying 200 euros to check in my baggage.i called Expedia and they Said sorry we can’t help. This is a joke I talked to Turkish airline and they said Expedia do it always because Pegasus is cheaper to fly with-so Expedia makes more mone.never again and please don’t book through Expedia.

Rejsen skulle gå til Madeira. Misvisende annoncer hos Expedia.

Rejsen skulle gå til Madeira. Vi fandt flyrejsen på Momondo og valgte at bestille gennem Expedia, som annoncerede, at indtjekket bagage og overhead kabinebagage var inkluderet. Da vi så fik billetterne fra Norwegia viste det sig, at hver af os havde 1 stks overhead samt 2 x 23 kg indtjekket på udrejsen. Men nul overhead eller indtjekket på hjemturen! Det kunne vi så betale ekstra for, hvis vi altså ville have vores bagage med hjem igen. Gennem Expedia lejede vi en bil fra Europcar, ifølge Expedias annonce med mulighed for online tjekind (og dermed tidsbesparelse) og evt ændring/afbestilling. Da det kom til stykket, var ingen af disse ting mulige. Ifølge Europcar var det kun muligt hvis man bestilte direkte hos dem. Konklusion: misvisende annoncer hos Exepedia. . Undgå det firma!

Do not trust Expedia

I booked a trip to Mexico found out the flight was not included so I cancelled my trip. I was totally refunded. 2 days later I found same hotel and flight for cheaper. As it turns out somehow it shows I booked a flight on aircanada was charged to my account. Not only did I not book it the departure was in the us. I live in Canada 🇨🇦. I contacted Expedia they said I was only booked for a hotel and refunded. I opened a dispute and customer service did nothing. I’m hoping this will be resolved with my visa account. Will never again use Expedia again. Air Canada suggested that Expedia used my information to book the flight even though I cancelled booking.

Todo es un FRAUDE!!! Compre unos boletos a Roma para toda mi familia, me cancelaron sin causa, no me quieren devolver me dinero, me hicieron perder mis vacaciones, hoteles, etc.
No me quieren ni dar la copia de la trasacción donde cancelan la transacción, nunca lo hicieron.

Great way to waste money

If I could, I would give them a negative number! I used their app to book a hotel room in Denver. I was preparing to go, so I looked it up to make sure all of the details were correct. In a moment of insanity I decided to add a meal. After I clicked to update my reservation, it told me I had successfully created a new reservation for tonight. I immediately tried to contact them to cancel the reservation. The online customer care stated that the booking was not refundable. I have called everyone I know to call and I’m now clear that I have lost $160.
To Hilton’s credit, they tried to fix this, but we’re not able. I will never ever use Expedia again. I suggest that unless you have money to burn you stay away from them also.

Expedia Customer service is terrible

Just spent over an hour first with an online agent and second with a "supervisor" and their customer service approach is terrible. I never received confirmation of a hotel reservation that I made through them, so I booked another hotel instead through a different entity ("Bookings.com - which is so much better). It seems that Expedia booked the hotel and failed to send me a confirmation for that booking and of course I got a no-show fee from the hotel for not showing up for a booking I did not even know I had. Expedia tells me that a confirmation email was sent to me "the system automatically sent it to you" but they have no ability to prove to me it actually went out. They do not keep copies of confirmation email that they sent to me (convenient isn't it). I have not record of ever receiving this email confirmation. They tried to get the hotel to refund me, which the hotel will not and should not do. The hotel did everything correctly. I would think a company like Expedia would own up to this, but they will not. They said it is our "policy" to not compensate customers for mistakes that customers make. Whatever happened to the approach of "the customer is always right". I told them if they could show me the original email that they sent to me, then I would own up to this being my mistake, but they cannot prove to me they sent it because they do not keep records of communication with their customers. They actually had the audacity to question why it took me 19 days to call them (the booking was for July 1st) and had I called earlier they might have been able to convince the hotel to refund me. Again the hotel did nothing wrong and why would it matter when I called. I was on vacation and did not want to deal with this to I finished my vacation and returned home.

Stay away from this company. There are so many other options for booking vacations.

A s**tty experience. I purchased tickets with them, and in the end, they turned out to be something different than what I bought—different airlines. I couldn't check in or choose seats, and the baggage was not included as mentioned when selling the tickets. The customer service does not handle anything.

Still not recieved my money back

Still not recieved my money back, despite the hotel issued a credit note (as it was so lousy that we did not want to stay there) - so expedia recieved my money but have not refunded them to me yet. It has been almost a month now. Never using them again.

Hotel booking cancelled due to covid. Coupon given for the full amount but when used to rebook I suddenly lost over $200.
On complaining i got a coupon for the same accommodation which expires in Dec. No chance of using it as already booked. Absolute rubbish.

STOL IKKE PÅ EXPEDIA!!! Bruger dem aldrig aldrig aldrig mere igen!!!!

Jeg bookede et hotel via EXPEDIA som var LUKKET OG SLUKKET!!

Og Expedia har ikke fortalt mig at hotellet er lukket og de prøvede heller ikke at hjælpe mig.
Og mens jeg er helt rund op gulvet og ikke aner hvad i alverden jeg skal sove eller hvor jeg skal hen kl 00:12, prøver taxi chaufføren at køre mig til et andet hotel 15 min. Længere væk, med håb om de ved noget, og gudskelov ankommer vi til et andet hotel som viser sig også at være deres.
(De har en hotelkæde).

For at kunne opholde mig på det nye hotel med All Inclusive som jeg i første omgang betalte for, skulle jeg IGEN BETALE ET BELØB PÅ OVER 5.000KR.
JEG KONTAKTER EXPEDIA MED ET KVITTERING OG BEDER OM REFUNDERING, KAN DE IKKE GIVE MIG MINE PENGE TILBAGE!!! OG SIGER UNDSKYLD!!! ?????

ET UNDSKYLD ER IKKE LIGE MED DE 5.000KR. SOM JEG BETALTE EKSTRA FOR !!!! 😡

Og klokken var mange om natten!!
De er pisse ligeglade med mig som deres kunde! Og jeg rejser ret ofte, så fra nu af vælger jeg aldrig aldrig jer igen for vil aldrig nogen sinde udsættes for sådan noget lignende igen!!

Jeg er bare så rasende altså!! og det eneste de siger er undskyld🤦‍♀️😔😔

Det er bare ikke godt nok.

Expedia fails to provide customer support

Expedia completely failed to provide support after having outbound flight cancelled by the airline and selling me an return flight with too short a connection time (50 minutes domestic to international), going so far as to tell me that if I didn’t accept the refund, they would refuse to put me on another flight if I missed my connection for any reason. Their solution was merely to try to push a refund rather than make sure I could conduct my journey as planned, even though I expressed flexibility in options, even offering to pay extra to make sure I had a flight, any flight, any time, any seat, and even a different date or through a different city if all else failed. They told me there was nothing available. Checking on expedia’s website itself, I found lots of available options, and asked them why they were telling me there were no flights or that they were all fully booked. They became a bit irate and refused to look into any options. All that would not have been so bad if they hadn’t kept me on hold and stringing me along during multiple phone calls for 45minutes to two hours, with twice promises that they would call me back to ‘check’ on what could be done. I pointed out to them that I had nothing to do with my outbound flight being canceled one week prior to the flight (airline issues), and that Expedia sold me the bundled flight to my destination with only a 50 minute connection time. I actually hadn’t complained about it, but rather they did, said ‘someone’ made a mistake to sell that bundle, but that they could only offer the refund rather that fix the acknowledged mistake. Fact, they never did call me back. After the second time of being told they would ‘call back’, and with only a couple days before the trip was to begin, I finally called the airline directly. The airline initially said Expedia had to fix it as they were the seller, but then ultimately did it themselves out of pity. So trip went on with a few adjustments (later connecting flight, and rebooking of cancelled flight for one day earlier) no thanks to Expedia. It appears that they only sell the products, but then wash their hands of any further responsibility after that. I fear that they cannot be counted on to help if any issues occur. With how complicated travel is becoming now days, the last thing anyone needs is unreliability in a time of need. Sorry Expedia, will book directly with airlines from now on. Problems can still occur, but at least I stand a better chance of getting them fixed.

Expedia travel became a nightmare

This has got to be the worst experience I ever had with a vacation purchase. I made reservations through expedia for hotel and flight, it was fully refundable. But following my payment, I only received emails about the trip from Travellink and now it was nonrefundable. Hotel was fine cancelling, but travelling referred to another sub, named eDREAMS. This was not a dream, it was a nightmare. I lost 1500 dollars and got really angry because Expedia takes no responsibility - just refers me to their subs like eDREAMS, with call centers in India. I am shocked. NEVER again will I use Expedia.

After booking a 2 night stay in a hotel with expidia, all was going well until we turned up to find the Hotel derelict, it had been closed for 6 months, we was going to tring chillfest we had and paid for tickets pre booked and paid for taxis, total amount £500.00 tried all Friday night to find somewhere else but with no luck. Contacted expidia and they offered me a £50 voucher off my next booking. This company is a complete rip off I would stay away, 2 weeks later still nothing back apart for a message we are trying to resolve this for you.

Adding lower priced flights on their website that are not available for booking and when you contact their Agents, they use excuses of updating the site as the reason for having unbookable flights.

Book gennem nogle andre! (se opdatering 19/5-22)

Da vi kom frem til hotellet var der ikke noget værelse. Hotellet ønskede ikke at overholde aftalen, da de kunne sælge det til en bedre pris, på trods af vores skriftlige bekræftelse fra Expedia. Expedia valgte at hæve pengene, hvorefter det tog 2 uger at komme i kontakt med dem.
Expedia har lovet pengene retur, men ønsker derudover ikke at hjælpe.
Så anbefalingen herfra:

Book gennem nogle andre.

Blot en opdatering: En mdr. efter vores oplevelse, hvor vi stod uden hotel, er det lykkedes at blive enige med Expedia om, det fornuftige I, at de dækker meromkostningen ved bookning af andet hotel. Vores last har dermed været udfordringen undervejs, samt at vi havnede på et "dårligere" hotel, men det skal til deres ros skrives, at det så økonomisk set ikke kom til at koste os noget.

Ich habe kürzlich über Check24 ein Hotel in Hamburg gebucht. Der Anbieter war Expedia. Der Preis für eine Übernachtung incl. Frühstück betrug 81,40 EUR. Beim Checkin mussten wir vor Ort begleichen. Kostenpunkt bei gleichen Leistungen 68,99 EUR. Ersparnis 18,15 %. Aufgrund meiner Reklamation erhielt ich nun die Mitteilung, dass das Hotel mir den niedrigeren Preis erstatten soll. Gewinnspanne für Expedia 18,51 %. Eine sehr gute Marge. In meinen Augen eine Abzocke. Ich werde künftig vor Buchung das Hotel direkt anrufen. Keine Buchung mehr über Expedia.

Booking for room was bad.

So I booked a room for my daughter that was traveling in a snow storm . When she got to hotel they said there was an issue with the booking. So I had to pay hotel directly for her and grandkids to stay. I was charged by both. Neither will refund me a charge as they want to point fingers at each other. Will never use again. Not my first problem with Expedia.

WORST SCAMMERS OUT THERE!!!

I reserved a car through them on a prepaid reservation. When I got to the car rental counter at the airport last night, the agent at Dollar informed me that they didn't have any cars available and there were dozens of people already waiting for their cars too. I called Carrentals.com customer service and was told they would contact the airport to verify that there were no cars then issue a full refund and would send me an email confirmation as soon as he completed the refund. I was also promised a callback from a supervisor as he told me they don't take calls from customers. I've not gotten my refund, I've not gotten any emails from anyone at carrentals.com and of course, I've not gotten a callback from a supervisor.
