This company is absolutely abmissal, do not order from them unless your happy to lose money.

I ordered a table and chairs set from this company back in the beginning of January, 6 weeks later we was offered a £70 refund as a good will jesture because of how long delivery was taking which we accepted. We still have not received that £70. Around 2 weeks later ONLY the table was delivered NO chairs. When asked about the chairs the company said the couriers had left them behind and would send them out with a new courier- fine no problem. Weeks went by again so I contacted them again they said the couriers were trying to find a delivery route and the chairs would be with us by the weekend..As you guessed it we are still without chairs and we are now in May. They have now resorted to photoshopping the chairs and table into a picture of my living room which I sent as proof that the table was still in the box (and still is).
I have contacted my bank to see they could resolve this, during countless conversations with my bank they sent me the evidence sent to them by this company which has my signature forged on one of the delivery documents as I wasn't even home when the delivery of the table took place my then heavily pregnant partner took the delivery and wasn't asked to sign anything.
We have now contacted trading standards and are in talks with a solicitor regarding the forged signature and will be continuing to go down every avenue available to stop this horrendous scam of a company from “trading”.
Please do not be fooled by their website's statement that they have excellent customer service, they have ignored every attempt of a conversation through WhatsApp and every call made rings through to voicemail.
Unless you enjoy stress and losing your hard earned money please avoid at all costs!

You are getting caught up in your own lies !! That's why you felt the need to edit your original reply, after I spoke to you on the phone and asked you to send me the evidence you have. You couldn't do it because you have no evidence to back up your lies !! You originally said you had photographic evidence with the table and (missing) chairs in my property !! WHICH MAY I ADD THEY PHOTOSHOPPED A PHOTO OF AN ASSEMBLED TABLE INTO MY LIVING ROOM. The delivery driver took a photo of the table in its box in my living room and they used this photo for their scamming evil ways!
The bank are reopening the dispute after seeing all the evidence we have and are giving esme furnishings 7 days to rectify their lies.

Please Avoid THIS COMPANY, they are a SCAM!! I’ve instructed a law firm to get my money back from them. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

I bought a table and few chairs from this company 2 months ago and still I am waiting for it . I contacted them few times and they played a game with me and they didn’t deliver the items and I asked them to refund my money and still waiting for my refund. Don’t buy anything from them. They are bunch of layers

Complete and utter joke and scam. Can’t believe I fell for it.
I ordered an electric fire from Esme furnishings on the 19th of January. I paid in full and was told delivery would be 7-14 days potentially longer for larger items. Absolutely fine don’t mind that. Weeks and weeks went by, I never recieved an update, never received any kind of contact from Esme furnishings. When I reached out, they service agent on the phone spent a while trying to find out what happened, trying to contact the courier, this takes a long time by the way and they had to do it multiple times. They then said the courier had damaged it in transit. ( this seems to be a common lie they tell considering all of the other one star reviews) At the time however I thought this could be a fair excuse.
Over a month then goes by, and again, I received absolutely no contact from Esme furnishings and no item arrived. I then spent days reaching out to them by phone, by WhatsApp and through their online portal. When by phone, they were clearly screening my number as it would ring out, then the next time, the line would go dead with them hanging up on me. They ignored me on WhatsApp and on their online portal, then they replied to say the age old excuse of “hi sir, let me check with the courier” then nothing for weeks again. It finally got to the point where three whole months had past, they continued to dodge my calls, ignore the vast majority of my contact through their channels, with the odd “hi sir, let me check with the courier” excuse. It was only when over three months had past and I raised yet another formal complaint via all communication channels and discussed reaching out to trading standards that they said “Hi sir, courier has advised delivery on Wednesday” this was referring to the 9th of April. Sent a message on Tuesday the 8th requesting further confirmation and to ask if everything was on track. Got a reply
“Hi there
We have had an email to advise delivery is not tomorrow and will be now next week as they can’t locate the item and need to find this” SHOCK. Another time they blame the courier. I have since requested that this order is cancelled and a full refund issued. Now…. This message amazingly got an instant reply, imagine that!! They have then continued to stall with this issue. Now blaming Klarna, whom have confirmed with me that they are investigating the payment and have requested information which Esme furnishings, shockingly have not provided and continue to not provide. Esme have said “when paying with Klarna we don’t have funds Klarna do” Ah, so you sell the item and Klarna get all the cash? Yeah, ok.
I cannot stress the importance that you don’t buy any items through Esme Furnishings, it is a complete SCAM company.
Every single aspect of their ‘About Us’ section is completely misleading. They do not have ‘a wealth of knowledge in customer service’ they do not ‘respond quickly’ and they have no idea how to deal with complaints in an appropriate manner and they certainly don’t ‘keep you updated every step of the way’ in over three months I never heard from Esme furnishings with a tangible update that I hadn’t spent weeks requesting . Save yourself the trouble, skip the fake reviews and read the 1 star ones and you’ll sharp see a common pattern of lies and failings on their part. That’s what this company truly is.

Also notice the only complaint reviews they reply to are ones which they can use the same pre written message about “we have no record of your order” or they come back with more excuses of how the customers are lying. They are a complete scam.

UPDATE: Jonathan at Esme furnishing has just called me an hour after leaving my review, he then rang Klarna to initiate in his words ‘a manual refund’ for the full amount and that this would be complete over the weekend.

Following this he then said and I quote “Will you now remove this review” when I said no, he said “that will delay the refund then Sir”

When i asked, “so you are going to withhold the refund, unless I remove the review?”

“No we don’t have your funds sir Klarna do”

If the refund is coming, then Esme Furnishings would have no effect on the refund regardless so I’m not sure how Jonathan can in his words “delay” the refund. Company is a joke.

In response to the reply that you can see below. I never requested a refund and cancelled my order 7 days after, this was not put forward until the 8th April following Esme saying that it would not be delivered on the 9th April, three months after order.
There was no reply to say a refund had been issued.

I never received confirmation of a refund and in addition I NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED RECEIPT. This company is now lying. I have never sent threatening emails, I have my correspondence logged from email and WhatsApp and now this fabrication. This will be added to my complaint with TRADING STANDARDS.

I normally never leave a review for anyone I’m a bit old fashioned thinking that when you pay for a service it should be quick and professional. I equally never leave a review for bad service just never go back.
This time things are different for me Esme as an internet Company we’re brilliant I was a bit nervous about sending hundreds for an online purchase, But there was no need to worry Esme emailed on a regular basis keeping us in the picture and progress of our purchase.
I feel I must mention the delivery team very good not like most dropping then rushing off, The driver spent time to explain unpacking and left asking if we were happy, Which for me was very refreshing not walking off with a grunt. Thank you again Esme kind regards Keith

Got delivered first thing staff very polite n helpfull. It only took about 30 mins to put together it looks beautiful in my room would highly recommend absolutely gorgeous products thankyou esme furnishings

If you read the various 1-star reviews below, amongst it is my mother-in-law's post regarding her purchase of a faulty table from Esme furnishings on 17th February 2025 (completely unstable, missing a part, and rocking from side to side with a mere touch.

IT IS NOW NEARLY MAY, and this rocking table is still in her kitchen forbidding her to purchase another due to the space limitations. This company have caused her absolute HELL, they 1st of all would not take any accountability for the fault FOR WEEKS, arguing back and forth against the clear video evidence that the table was never fit for purpose.

Their manner in emails is ATROCIOUS; they only reply to what they want when they want. 1 review posted, was followed up with a threat to remove it, (which I can now see from other reviews seems to just be a BULLING TACTIC to all customers who tell the truth about this company), or face a delay in the table getting picked up, and now here we are again. RADIO SILENCE no scheduled courier collection a further two weeks in, although we weren’t holding our breath as the last time they had to come out to “INSPECT” the table (basically find any reason to suggest it wasn’t faulty – which they made a very good attempt at), there was no phone call that time either! After my sister in law complained on that occasion, they miraculously said oh, they are on the way!

ESME – We will continue this until my mother's table and assembly fee is refunded. whether you choose to keep dragging this out is your decision, but to anyone considering purchasing from these ROUGES, I have solid evidence and an audit trail to give you a whole list of reasons why you should save yourselves!!!!

This company is THE WORST, currently quite happy to continue causing my 69-year-old mother complete HELL with regards to a faulty table they sent her in February this year (2025).

Now back to their no replying, no contact, stage once again with regards to collection and no doubt refund from what I read from many other reviews on here and Google.

Please please please do not give them your money because once they have it, they do not care what ever the situation is and will do they utmost to prevent you from having it back.

Complete rogues, everything I have written in the review is factual and I have hard evidence to back up should anyone want to discuss further.

Excellent from order to delivery, I was kept fully updated via email about my ordered and received a delivery date within a couple of days . My purchase came with white glove full delivery set up service for free which was brilliant, no confusing instructions for me !! On delivery day I was emailed to confirm delivery/ set up and given an am slot. 1hour before delivery drivers phoned to let me know they were on their way. On arrival the guys were very polite and courteous, they were considerate of my property and had my dining table set up within 20 minutes . They removed all packaging and left my home tidy. Dining table is amazing quality and much better than anticipated Excellent service

I bought the Luis table and knocker back chairs from Esme as they were the only company selling what I wanted and to my budget, so a tick on price.
I checked on delivery date a couple of times and after the date was agreed I requested a late afternoon delivery due to a hospital appointment. Esme accommodated my request and on the day gave me a 2 hour slot. Emails are replied to really quickly.
The furniture was easy to assemble but you will need 2 people to place the table top over the legs as it's very heavy. Table and chairs are made very well. The timber under chair seat is thick and chairs are sturdy. The table top is smooth almost glass like, really easy to clean.
Love my new table and chairs, looks lovely in the room. Ticks all round.

Great table, been delivered within time frame. The only thing that’s I’m not happy about is their customer service. All updates you need to ask yourself via email they will not contact you but reply pretty quickly.

Purchased a tv cabinet in June 24 and was told delivery in July then nothing and no communication I chased this and in October 24 they said it was damaged in transit - they said I’d be given a 75 refund and then sent another so I tried again - no refund appeared and no unit - in November I chased it again and was told the sans story! Damaged in transit they said they would refund £75 and I never even got the first refund! They did then send me £150 back and I was waiting for a third unit but this was followed up in January with an email saying they didn’t have the unit in the colour I’d ordered and would I take one in a totally different colour! So I asked for a refund of what I’ve paid - just shy of £800 - in January 25 and I’ve still not had the refund. I also even sent them my bank details but still nothing. I wrote to them with the help of citizens advice and got no reply and I’ve instructed a lawyer now - terrible situation for anyone id avoid them they haven’t followed their own refund policy with me they don’t seem legitimate to me

Last night after nearly two months of HELL, from this company they finally agreed to collect and refund their faulty, rocking table.

Yet later on in the night, I then receive the an email, basically blackmailing me to get my daughter to delete her review posted, yesterday or face further delay.

Today has been spent yet again sending several emails asking Jonathon to confirm whether his is now going to cause me further delay, as he notes in his email last night, given that I am refusing to delete any of these factual honest reviews until my refund hits my account.

No clear or solid reply, yet again, to whether my collection and refund is still going ahead, given his email last night!

I have a full audit trail of events from
this company that I can provide for authentication of this review.

AMAZING 5 STAR SERVICE.
I recently purchased a large amount of furniture from Esme Furnishings, I have placed 2 orders with this company and i can genuinely say i had a 5 star service from me first emailing and enquiring about the items along with i had a minor issue of some paint work which got resolved.

I had initally asked a few questions regarding the Richmond Tivoli range and Katie who was so helpful sent me across many live images of this which helped me, From that i purchased the coffee tables they got delivered within 10 days which was great. I then purchased the matching sideboard and display cabinet as the quality of this was great, I had a minor paint defect on one of the items, Katie was so helpful and sent me some paint touch ups in 2 days, This got resolved and i am so happy as normally i prefer to see the items but more and more companies are now online and i found this company online, I will be back for more.

This furniture place feels like an Indian Scam Call Center.
Edit: answer to the message below of Esme: I purchased one chair "in stock / ready to dispatch" and paid 1100 GBP, after 2 weeks I asked "Where is the chair?" - they said "Sorry, no have, you want another design", I answered I want a refund within 24 hours. They said "Refund within 7 to 14 working days", that was 10 days ago, still no money. They have been sitting on my money for nearly a month doing nothing! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
