I have attempted to use this three times and have only been successful once. The whole system of payment is way more difficult than it need be

Be careful using EatClub. I redeemed a 55% discount but was charged full price. After calling EatClub, they claim i chose a set course menu at the restaurant, so i wasn't then eligible for the discount.. I really feel i was ripped off on this occasion.

Card got declined at a restaurant, settled the bill with another card (without discount). Few hours later I find out eat club charged my credit card for the declined attempt — no way to easily dispute this and I’m worried considering other reviews hinted at very poor customer service.

On multiple occasions, EatClub has taken unauthorised additional amounts from my bank account. When using the EatClub card, the correct discounted amount is initially charged, but an additional amount is then taken from my account without any clear explanation or notification.

The most recent incident is particularly concerning. After using the card, I was correctly charged $12. However, I later woke up to find that an additional $60 had been taken from my bank account.

This has happened more than once, and despite raising these issues with EatClub, they have failed to properly resolve the problem or take accountability for the unauthorised charges. This is extremely frustrating and concerning, particularly when it involves money being taken from my personal bank account without my knowledge or consent..

The idea is great and the app works well but the moment you have an issue with an order then forget about getting any assistance from their non existing customer support. For two days now I have called, texted and emailed using the contact information provided to me but I have been given zero support to report my order not being fulfilled and ask for a refund. The phone number plays a phony recording that gives an illusion you are on a call but it’s a recording that never leads to anyone and lasts exactly 11 minutes and 5 seconds every single time. I have record of over 20+ calls.

If you’re going to be an intermediary then you need to accept the responsibility of the full job not just cash in on a trend and ride on restaurants’ coattails. So frustrated and disappointed with this app and its people.

Terrible service! Card constantly delined or failed and the follow up complaints consistently ignore! They even charged me a fee for not honouring the booking when I went and used the EatClub card, Avoid this company at all cost!!

When I first used EatClub it worked. Now it seems it didn’t work for a meal and I am trying to get my discount back. This is very disappointing. Customer service has been polite- however asking many questions and I am still waiting for my refund. What started as a great app and idea seems to be failing around IT issues it seems or something else ?

Very poor customer service. Out of date data base meant that my address was not recognised. So I was unable to sign in to the scheme. I reported this via different routes and and have never received a satisfactory response. I am inundated with offers I can't access! Potentially brilliant App let down by very poor administration.

I followed the instructions but when I checked my connected card's account I had been charged the full amount. Still waiting for a refund.
Just to update - two emails sent and one phone call unanswered. It's a week since I paid the full amount, looks like this is a scam.

eatclub card was declined at the restaurant but the money was taken by eatclub AND I had to pay in full again at the restaurant so instead of saving 40% the meal has cost me 60% more. Support still hasn't responded to me after 4 days. Great concept but it just doesn't work. DO NOT USE

I was nervous with the negative reviews, but I have had a completely drama free experience twice now. I just ordered $75.00 worth of food and I ended up paying $51.50. I honestly love this site as it means we can go out more for a fraction of the price.

Payment did not process, got declined twice. Spoke to customer service that said submit a claim. Also emailed, no response.
As I have not heard anything, tried calling, got hung up twice. Got a text saying how can I help as call was missed, responded but no response after that.

Eat Club is an excellent app to use in Bristol. We find it works seamlessly and have enjoyed some new to us restaurants. I highly recommend this app and it includes drinks unlike similar apps. It’s also very easy to use once you get the hang of it.

First time using the EatClub card it was declined by the restaurant payment terminal, but my account was charged. I then had to pay the restaurant the full amount. So ended up paying twice for a meal with no resolution from the app company.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Delivery from Eat Club Driver’s Misconduct and Wrong-Side Driving – Vehicle KA 05 AS 7970

I would like to raise a complaint regarding the behaviour of a delivery driver near Bagmane Tech Park. The vehicle number is KA 05 AS 7970.

The driver was driving on a one-way road in the wrong direction under the railway bridge and stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road. When vehicles behind him started honking, instead of correcting his mistake and moving aside, he started arguing with other road users and making unnecessary comments about vehicles coming from the opposite direction.

What was particularly unacceptable was his aggressive and abusive behaviour. He was using extremely vulgar and inappropriate language toward people on the road and behaved in a very disrespectful and irresponsible manner.

I request the concerned team to please take this complaint seriously, identify the driver and vehicle, and take appropriate action. Such behaviour, especially while driving a delivery vehicle on public roads, is completely unacceptable and creates unnecessary conflict and inconvenience for other road users.

I hope the matter will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

Got offered a $15 voucher off our first order by using the code EAT15 and it didn’t even work. We wouldn’t have gone out if we weren’t offered the voucher, so I’m pretty upset. Customer service was non-existent when we asked for help. I didn’t want to cancel the booking as you get charged a fee, so we kept the booking even though we weren’t able to use our $15 off. I feel like the $15 off voucher was just a fake offer to entice new customers to use eat club. I followed up with eat club after waiting a few days as there was zero response from them, even though we contacted them through the “live chat” prior to arriving at the restaurant. When they finally replied days later they said they can’t refund us the $15 off our total bill even though it was their fault the code wasn’t working. Not a good experience… honestly it kinda feels like we fell for a scam, as it seems the $15 voucher was just a fake offer to entice us to place our first order.

Very disappointing experience with EatClub.

The whole point of using EatClub is to receive the advertised discount, but when I recently tried to use the app, the discount/payment system did not work as it should. As a result, I was unable to use the EatClub offer as advertised.

I have contacted EatClub multiple times requesting a refund, but despite sending several enquiries, I have received no refund and, more importantly, not even a proper response from customer service.

If you’re going to offer discounts through an app, the payment system needs to work — and when it doesn’t, customers should be able to get a response and their money back promptly.

I cannot recommend EatClub based on my experience and will be reconsidering using the service again.

Horrible, got overcharge and the discount wasn't real. I tried to contact with customer service, but it didn't help.

Absolutely shitty customer service. Ordered for 710 rupees of sandwiches and none of the boxes were sealed properly, even worse three of the sandwiches were damaged. When I complained, the customer care service was non-existent. The complain was not at all taken seriously even though was an issue of complete negligency and health hazard. This company also nowadays don't accept COD so that if they send you shit for food, then they can disregard accountability completely and rob you of your money.
