Why do they bother with appointments? Made 4:15 appt and they didn’t take it in until 5pm. Other customers who came after me were already getting in the bay. I complained- was told my 4 tire replacement required the 4 man crew that was busy. BS!

God Bless Discount Tires. They provide free air pressure service and tire repair. How great that is!

Went in for an alignment and was told I needed new tires because they were old witch was true so I bought 5 witch coast over 900.00 so after that they told me they wouldn't do the alignment until I paid 1800.00 in parts and labor they said ball joints and other parts needs replaced witch i new was a complete lie because I took the truck to my regular mechanic the day before and he said everything was fine so I told discount tire to write everything down that I needed and took that paper to my regular mechanic and he said there is nothing wrong and told me to go to a different shop for the alignment because my regular mechanic doesn't do alignments so I go home that day and I noticed they only gave me 4 of the 5 tires and had to go back the next day for the 5th tire and remind u I was there for 5 and a half hours just for tires. so I had to wait 2 weeks to get in the other shop so as the days pass buy I noticed my truck shaking when I go 60 and above so fast forward I'm at the other shop and have them look at everything and told them the truck was shaking come to find out it was because discount tire didn't balance the tires properly the tires was off by 3 ounces each. and this other shop also said nothing needed replaced to do the alignment

First, I want to make it clear that negative reviews will always outnumber the positive. Also, the nature of franchises lends itself to inconsistency. For humans are inconsistent. A franchise is nothing but a brand. From my experience Discount Tire soars above any peer or competitor in their industry. I say this with authenticity. If one was too look at my Google reviews they would see how scathing or appreciative I can be. I'm undeniably aware of ANY dismissive attitudes or lack of conern/respect that an employee or business would try to exhibit my way.
The common decency of customer service in America no longer exists. This is why I feel that the men and women who are hired at Discount Tire are exceptional! Why do they stand out from 85% of the horrible experiences I endure on a daily basis with "customer servers"??? IDK? Probably based on their hiring principles.

I have shopped discount tire direct for years. It was always a positive experience. I tried to order today and they told me I had to order from tire rack. Tire rack did not have same tire at same price. I ended up ordering at a local shop and saving 300$ discount tire must have sold out.

Will have to call them no more discount tire anymore!!!

We have had to drop our fleet account with Discount Tire, as every time we have purchased tires for our fleet, the tires bust bands, produce bubbles, or fail in some way within months and they refuse to fully stand behind their tires.

My grandfather, myself, my father, my mother, my sister and brother-in-law have used Discount tire for 20+ years. Many cars with new sets of tires. They used to be fantastic. Reasonable prices on tires and warrantees along with free rotation and balance. The staff used to be great. I'd go in for a rotation and have a small wait, shorter than the wait now with an appointment. The staff is still pretty good but nothing like they were. I'm sure it all comes from the top. Sales are now becoming more important. Now they push windshield wipers everytime you go in. If you want to get a rotation it's always you have a long wait and if you set an appointment you don't get in and out like you used to just driving in. I was going on a trip and replaced my tires before I needed to per Discount. They barely gave me a discount. The next time I was right a replacement time for the front tires but had time left on the rear ones. I asked for a rotation so I could get just a little more time. The rep said they couldn't get it in and I could call for an appointment. It was obvious he knew Discount didn't want him to do the rotation. My brother in law had a tire torn and rim damaged on a $70k sports car. They replaced the tire and paid to repair the rim, but he had to spend another $500 for a new tire to match the one they damaged. I get Michelin tires for the ride and they are not cheap. I always have the warranty but now I'm here getting a rotation and am told I have no warranty. They found a nail in my tire and said no guaranty the tire could be repaired and I could buy the warranty for $182. The nail is in the tread on the face!!! This is an easy repair!!! When they were done they offered the warranty again. I told a different guy that I thought I had a warranty and he siad they would replace my tires for prorated cost. That's exactly the warranty I thought I had. He said for $182 I would get a brand new tire if they had to replace one. If that happens you will still have to purchase another brand new tire to match the one they replace.

If I could rank Discount Tires in Suffolk, VA with a ZERO I certainly would. My son and I went in 2 weeks ago and received great service from a guy at the counter and we ordered 4 new wheels for his 2022 Durango. They arrived as anticipated and he made an appointment to have them placed on his vehicle. Upon arriving for his appointment the manager told him that he also needed new tires, which he knew to be inaccurate and told them to just put the wheels on and he would consider it at another time. The manager left and then returned stating that they would not place his current tires on his new wheels because the tread was so warn and again that he needed 4 new tires. He loaded up his new wheels into his vehicle and drove to the Dodge dealership where they evaluated his tires, found them to be in excellent condition and placed them on his new wheels. We have all of this well documented and I am going to make it a point to tell everyone that I know how you operate!
How many times have you scammed people into purchasing something that they did not need? We work for our hard earned money and you make yours by lying and cheating the people that walk through your door. You even took my son out to his vehicle and tried to convince him his tires needed to be replaced but he recognized your obvious lies and knew more than you gave hime credit for, your profile for someone that you could scam failed you this time! You should be ashamed of yourselves for lowering your moral values to lying and cheating to make a few extra dollars!

Track tire purchases & mileage for Discount Tire warranties. My 2023 tire purchase was still under warranty, contrary to what they initially said.

We had an issue with our tire after a doctor appointment, added air and drove to Discount Tire on Whitestone Blvd. in Cedar Par, Tx. Joshua S. inspected our tire visually. They were able to check our tire for damage even though they were very busy. The tire was repaired, good as new, and we were on our way after a short wait. No charge since we had road hazard protection. Will be purchasing tires soon from this location of Discount Tire.

I am 81 years old and Discount Tire is the worst Tire buying experience I have had in over 60 years of driving. First of all I sat in their store for over 2 hours. No one told me I could leave and come back in 2 Hours and that they would hold my place in the que. Second $156.00/tire or $624.00 became $909.00. Then to make me feel even better They kept my nice aluminum valve stem caps. I went back in 5minutes and they could find only one but to make things right they gave me some ugly cheap little green jeweled covers.
UPDATE: the store and the corporate office reached out to me right away! That's worth at least one more star. Furthermore, the price was fine considering what I got which included road hazard warranties. Evidently two different people worked on my tires. On the passenger side the tires have been cleaned off after mounting and my valve caps have been placed back on the wheels. On the driver's side the white soapy substance used to lubricate the tires when putting them back on was all over the tires and rims and of the original valve caps had not been replaced. We will see how it goes from here.

UPDATE: The staff at discount went above and beyond. Great communication! they even purchased a new set of valve stems for me. they worked their way up from a 1Star to a 5 Star review. Thanks Discount tire!

I want to write my experience with the product and service the discount tire provided to me over the past year. I changed the four tires at the store about one year ago. At that time, they told me that I had an 80,000-mile guarantee from the tire company and that if anything happened to the tires, they would replace them at no charge if I paid some price for that service. So I paid all the services they recommended. Last week, I received an email from them stating that I should get a tire rotation service for free, so I sent my car to the store. It turned out that my front tires were in such bad condition that they gave me a warning that I had to change them immediately. Otherwise, I would be at risk if I drove the car on the road. They said that the damage to the front tires was due to a mechanical issue, but I did an alignment service within the last year and had no idea what was wrong with the tires. They still charged me the full cost for replacing these two tires. What they offered before was nonsense. There is no guarantee at all. The tires lasted only one year and less than 10,000 miles. My wife mostly just drove the car to and from school. It's ridiculous that I could rely on these tires for 80,000 miles. It just survived around one year and less than 10,000 miles, and I have to replace these tires. What a shame for the service and products. Please pay attention that what they said is conditional.

Sales representative flatly refused to rotate my tires because of supposed low tread. It doesn't matter if the tread is low. If a person cannot afford a new tire they can't afford it. Why not try and help the customer instead of scamming them into a new tire they can't afford. I had good money to spend and they refused to help me. Never be back, ever.

I went into Discount tire to get tires rotated. The guy that met me at the door went out to get the milage as usual and I wondered what he was going to try to up sell me. He returned and said my tires were ok but I really needed new wiper blades. My last time they were telling everyone they had bad lugnuts. I asked how he knew I had to have new wiper blades? He said they were badly worn and clips looked worn. I informed him my wife had just spent $60.00 less than a month ago to replace the blade assembly's. When I look at them they are black in the whole blade and looked brand new.
A few months ago we purchased a tire from Discount Tire that blew up on interstate 40 late at night and the whole sidewall blew out. I had not hit anything and the car was swerving violently and it also blew up the TPM on that tire. I had no spare because the car system was a portable air compressor and sealer. I had the car towed to a Discount tire in Lebanon. I asked them to save the tire for me but they did not and would not even take a picture for me. The tire was less than a year old. I use Pernille tires but when I damaged the sidewall on one of the Pernille tires Discount Tire in Murfreesboro told me since they could not get a Perelli at that time they had another brand that was just as good. I am losing faith in Discount Tire.

The problem with discount tire you should get discount service. We bought four tires And the next day one was flat. My daughter in law Was stranded with her baby On the road. Call Discount tire And they refused To send someone To give her a ride home. They wanted her to wait the 3 hours.It took for a tow truck To get her car And stay there with her baby. I have bought several sets of tires from them but I will never go back. I'm not Mad Is that the installer Is made a mistake And put the stem in wrong. But for them Do not send someone To take her And her baby home Is discussing.

I recently visited discount tire at the Greenville, SC, location with a nail in my car tire. The tire with the nail had good tread left and the nail was near the middle. They said they should be able to fix it. They patched the tire after a two and a half hour wait. The next day the patch started leaking. I took the car back to them and instead of fixing it they simply put the spare tire and said they can’t do anything to fix it anymore. Didn’t even bother to explain why - basically brushing me away. I took the tire to a few other tire shops and they refused to patch it as it was already messed up with a leaky patch. Finally, I was able to get a second repair done paying almost a quarter of the price of a new tire with no guarantees. Be careful with taking tires to these guys for a so called free repair. They can easily mess things up and the “free” repair may actually end up costing you a lot more!

I took my 2020 cadillac xt5 in for tire rotation, got it back and the tire pressure monitor indicated that one of the tire was low, I put air in what I thought was the low tire however, it was not correct, they failed to reset the TPMS.
Also this is the 2nd time I went to Discount tire for a rotation and the following day four a nail in one of the tires. I'm not sure if they did that, but it just a coincidence that it has twice.

I bought new front tires for my 2012 Silverado 3500 truck. I requested that the old front tires be put on the rear outside dual.
They managed to put the old rear tires back on the rear rims which I pointed out to Justin the salesperson.
They corrected this I thought.
I inspected when I got home and discovered that I still had an old tire on one side.
Took truck back to have them put the wright tire on.
Then today 5/29/24 I discovered that the inner tire valve stem was behind a spoke in the outer rim, so you could not check the inner tire air pressure or put air in if needed.
Had to take truck back to have the rim rotated for access to the valve stem.
I spend a fair amount of money at Discount Tire but will probably not go.

What's the point in making appointments as they don't honor them and lie telling you your next. Appointment was for 12 and an hour later still not in shop yet was told we were next .just poor management of time and customer service

Discount Tires has a drive through service to put air in your tires. So helpful and convenient on a windy, cold day like today and last summer when it was so hot.
