Conclusion CIA
Already after booking the language course I felt the administration took good care for me in preparing the stay. The first impression of the school had been great with it's beautiful garden and the friendly and welcoming staff. Our teacher Heloïs did a great job. She is a natural born teacher making the learning easy and funny.
The quiet communicative chef is a great asset for practicing French. :)
Finally, I remember this time in Antibes very often and miss it very much. I hope, I can return once and continue with the course. Also, I don't get tired to recommend this school literally to everybody I meet. ;)

My review of both campus
Il était très intéressant de rencontrer autant de nouvelles personnes. Ils venaient du monde entier. Les animateurs du Campus Léonard de Vinci ont été très gentils. Ils sont venus nous parler et voulaient nous aider à apprendre le français et à nous amuser. Au Campus Horticol, ils n'étaient pas aussi gentils. Le campus lui-même était bien. Nous avions de l'espace et les chambres étaient bien. La nourriture pourrait être meilleure, mais on pouvait la manger. Les horaires étaient corrects. Un point négatif à mentionner est que j'ai parfois dû attendre assez longtemps parce que tout le monde était en retard. Le programme et les leçons étaient bons. Je pense que cela aiderait si tout était plus structuré et organisé et si les animateurs étaient vraiment comme des amis. Il est beaucoup plus facile d'être dans un camp avec des amis. Alors peut-être que vous devriez faire plus de choses pour permettre à tout le monde de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et de se parler en français. Parce que si les animateurs parlent en anglais et pas en français, on n'apprend pas le français mais un mauvais anglais.

school without air conditioning
I attended the Antibes language school in August. It was a program for children and parents. My classes were of a good standard, the teaching rooms were air-conditioned. Unfortunately, my children (12 and 7 years old) had classes in a different place, where there was no air conditioning or enough fans. The weather in Antibes was very hot at that time, above 38 degrees Celsius. In such conditions it was impossible to learn French effectively. The children came back from classes very tired with headaches and did not want to go to class the next day. Some of the games and breaks took place outside, where there was no shade, which made the situation even worse. With such climate changes as we have in Europe, the school should anticipate that air-conditioned rooms will be needed. It's a pity that this happened, the children said they didn't want to go back to school in Antibes...

2 Weeks as Expected
Our 14 year old son spent 2 weeks at the "premium" camp in Antibes. He came home to the U.S. happy, more self confident and independent, with better French, having made new international friends mostly from Germany and Switzerland, never having written home to complain about anything.
From what we heard, everything was pretty much as expected. He had a room with a roommate in the building that was advertised, he had air conditioning, small classes that were leveled, edible food, the expected activities such as paintball and boating and a trip to Monte Carlo, and the expected transportation to and from the airport.
Our biggest concerns was transportation so I flew with our son to Nice since we were already traveling. After coming out of baggage claim, there was large signage very close to the door with multiple CIA staff who had our son's name. CIA staff also drove him back to the airport for departure and made sure he was all checked in. We used Air France minor service, which has an easy flight from Nice to Paris and then a direct flight to the west coast of the US, and someone looked after him the whole way. At the Paris airport he said he had a very nice conversation in French with the Air France staff. This was all uneventful.
He's a normal teenage boy that likes sports but also likes French. Two weeks seemed to be a good length.

Junior Antibes language camp- one week no boarding experience was very positive
My son did one week in Antibes Junior camp. It was at the campus horticole. The campus was ok looking. The camp counsellors were nice and fun. The camp ran from 8:30 am to 6 ish pm. My son had fun and learned some more French, but because many of the kids his age didn’t speak as much French as he did, there was a lot more English spoken during play times than I expected. The camp was quite expensive for Canadians in light of the CAD to EUR exchange rate, especially all the extra fees like admin fee and one week premium fee. He wants to do it again and stay over, but we may wait a few more years and then he can stay for two weeks. All in all, I think it was a good experience. Antibes, as a location is awesome.
I just wish he was able to have dinners there and take part in the evening events even though he wasn’t sleeping there. This would be one thing I would add on as an option. That way parents can have a nice dinner in the old town, while the kids get to hang out at camp longer where they are having fun.

My daughter attended CIA for 2 weeks
My daughter attended CIA for 2 weeks. She had already studied french in school for 2 years and is considered a good pupil. Week 1 she was put into a class with beginners who had little or no french. In week 2 she was put into another class with people with some french but very little. She learned absolutely nothing. We brought to the attention of her teacher, the people in charge, but nothing changed. I would advise anyone not to waste their money and come here.

The animators were extremely nice and very fun. The were always in good spirits and generally amazing to be around. I initially struggled to get used to the routine, but it soon became normal. There was always a positive atmosphere, and there were numerous opportunities to build connections and make friends. I do wish there could have been more variety of food, however this was minor.

really incredible and unique experience
I learned a lot of French specially in the Cours intensif, that are two days in the afternoon +2h. the animators really incredible and really fun to be with, that made the experience and night activities much better. I got an individual room but friend I made there didn't and some, not all, had problems with the arrangements of the rooms, they have many different sizes even though they could be for the same amount of people from 2-4. I really loved the experience, wish I loved the campus food as much

I liked the experience and the dorms, but more information should be given out about the activities the day before that way we can be more prepared for the activity the next day and can bring the proper supplies.

Very unorganised and lots of issues
Very unorganised and lots of issues. Accommodation was not the best and the family was really rude, as where many staff members. The lessons were not on a higher level and B2 did the same stuff as A1

Firstly, we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your comments about your daughter's experience at our school. We are very sorry to hear that her stay did not meet your expectations and that she encountered some issues during her stay.
The quality of accommodation is of key importance to us, as we understand that it is an essential part of our students' experience abroad. We are deeply sorry that your daughter had a disappointing experience with her host family. The comfort and well-being of our young students is our absolute priority, and it is regrettable that this was not the case for her. We work closely with our host families to ensure that they provide a warm and welcoming environment for our students. We will be reviewing our host family selection and monitoring process to ensure a positive and respectful experience for our students in the future.
As far as the courses are concerned, we are committed to offering quality teaching to all our students, regardless their level. We are surprised to hear that you found the B2 level to have the same activities as the A1 level, as we strive to adapt our programme according to students' skill levels. We will be reviewing our teaching methods to ensure that they adequately meet the needs of our students and reflect the appropriate levels of proficiency.
Finally, we apologise if you have had any unpleasant interactions with some of our staff. We aim to provide a welcoming and respectful environment for all our students, and we will investigate these incidents to ensure that such situations don’t occur again.
