50+ just an add on
The 50+ program is just an add on to the school that has its main focus on youngsters and pupils. I was the only elderly Person in a group of twelve.
I sent the online test before, but I think it was not a criteria, because I was sent in a very low level not corresponding to my real level. The teacher sent me than to a higher level but because that teacher was ill I had to stay in A2.1. But our teacher Miriam was very good. She did her best in a big class with so very different levels.

In our 50+ program, morning group classes are integrated with other adult students, regardless of age. There isn't a dedicated class exclusively for individuals aged 50 and over. However, afternoon activities and excursions are exclusively tailored for participants enrolled in the 50+ program.

My favorite French learning experience
This is my second time at the school and the experience was just as good this time. The teachers are very talented and helpful both in the morning class and in the one on one discussion class. I will be back soon and will likely sign up for the intensive plus so that I get the benefits of both one on one work as well as the discussion in the afternoon. An added benefit is the cross cultural and cross age group classes. I have made friends from all over the world. I can't wait to come back.

I just checked my second stay at Centre International d'Antibes! I went there last year (2023) for a two-week intensive program, and my experience was amazing. I'm an adult, and most of the students are half of my age on average, but I felt comfortable and I was placed with a great group, with interesting people and a great teacher, Miriam. She is the best!

My daughter really loved her week here. The teachers were very informal but also informative (taught them some French slang which they loved) and she said she fell in love with the language. She also really enjoyed the sailing and the freedom to go into town afterwards. Booking again for this summer for my daughter and her brother this time too.

Well organised and fun language camp
The camp was organised very well (including the transportation) with high level teaching and fun activities in the afternoon. The location is superb with easy access to the beach and the old town. Participants meet children from all over the world. It is great that animators only communicate with kids in French. The only recommendation for improvement is to make the showers less hot.

Unsatisfactory, uncomfortable and chaotic
I first arrived at the school with a very positive attitude as I had been put through a french test online and had received an email which said that I would get more information at school, and to me that all seemed very promising and thorough. To my surprise this was not the case in real life.
The physical conditions of the school are very poor (toilets and sinks don't work properly, heating systems don't work in the classes, no possibility to buy a cup of coffee, terrible chairs in the classes, because the building is so loud, other classes often disturb you a lot etc). There was an overall lack of information in terms of what the classes were going to cover and more generally how the school works. The grammar book that the school provides you is full of errors. I changed teacher 4 times in just 6 weeks and the teacher all had very different approaches to teach the curriculum and that confused me. Most of my teachers were late every day even though all the students were there on time. Out of the 4 teachers I had, only 1 seemed enthusiastic about the job. This teacher focused a lot on talking with us which was exactly what we wanted and needed, and when this teacher went on vacation we got a new one who wanted to focus only on grammar. When I asked if we could speak more (because that's what we needed), the teacher said "no, because morning lessons are primarily grammar". A statement that is NOWHERE to be found online and a statement, that the teachers prior to this, clearly hadn't been been following. As I am the paying customer (and we were just 2 people in that class that both wanted to speak), I went to the office to talk to a person in the staff called Rosa to see if there was anything to do. She was very rude to me, accusing me of explaining the situation to her in English when I "should be speaking in French now" (this was just three weeks after I started...). I left the office feeling very angry with her and disrespected. On my last day, the teacher clearly wasn't aware that it was my last day and the diploma I got was not correct.
This school could be such a nice place where people can meet across nationalities and discuss the beauties and difficulties of studying French but unfortunately it really isn't like that at all. Would not recommend this to anyone

Regarding the facilities, we would like to inform you that renovations were undertaken during the school closure over the holiday season. Unfortunately, upon your return, these works were not entirely completed. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we are pleased to inform you that these improvements are now finalized (snack area with coffee, public area, etc.).
Concerning the grammar book, developed by the entire pedagogical team consisting of certified FLE teachers, we are surprised by the errors you mention. We are determined to rectify this promptly, and to do so, we would appreciate if you could kindly provide us with specific details about the identified errors.
We take issues related to frequent teacher changes, differences in teaching approaches, and any communication lapses very seriously. We sincerely regret that you did not find a satisfactory solution with our pedagogical manager, Rosa.
If any other concerns or suggestions come to your mind, please do not hesitate to share them. Our commitment to addressing these issues and restoring your trust in our school remains our priority.

Excellent, I would go again!
Excellent! I loved being at Centre International d'Antibes, it was one of the best experiences I have done in my life and I'm glad I booked it!! I'm an adult student and I met some amazing people of all ages from teenagers to 20s, 30s, 40s and up to 70s, that have become friends and they were from all around the world and all professions. The lessons were great and I definitely improved my French in the 2 weeks of being there, our teachers were VERY good, and we were challenged.
I'm glad I chose the cultural tour option in the afternoons that was really great! I got to see other parts of the South of France and soak in the culture and learn the language that way, which was a nice break from the intensity of the morning classes, we had a lot of fun and laughs and the guides for our cultural afternoons were friendly and always in good spirits.
I would just say that the Administration of the school needs to be a bit more organised with administration eg. where to meet, and timings as we had no clue for the second week about meeting points or timing for the cultural tour, so there needs to be better communication eg via email or on the notice board. And for example the school that is at the Le Port they could give better directions eg. it is above the Irish pub, as it was hard to find, but luckily I found it the day before, also the directions from Juan Le Pin train station should be better eg. if coming from Nice go under the under pass to the other side to get to the aragon residence.
The accommodation was great at Aragon residence so I'm grateful for that as it was close to the beach, shops and train station, I think for 2 weeks max it is great as a mature student, younger students could stay longer. For the accommodation the only small thing was the internet needs to be upgraded especially as it is education accommodation, because in my room I kept having to login with the password to the wifi repeatedly, I had to work on my business some mornings and evenings so this was frustrating and needs to be upgraded.
I would definitely recommend Centre International d'Antibes, everyone was friendly and helpful!

Happy and useful vacation in Antibes (Horticole) We had an experience with CIA language…
We had an experience with CIA language camp in July 2022. The communication and the preparation of the trip were smooth and fine. The drop off as well as the early pick up of the child were pretty comfortable and were perfectly organised. At the end of his trip my son of 9 years has kind and warm memories about the camp. He was happy about the group and the programm that matched accurately to his current language level. The context of the course seemed to me entertaining but intense.

C'était fantastique - do it, you won't regret it!
I found the Centre International d'Antibes online - with no referrals and only online reviews to support my decision, I signed up for two months of classes and temporarily move my life to France from Canada. It was one of the best decisions I had ever made.
Going into this experience alone, I did not think much about the people I would meet. But I can say confidently that CIA attracts the best type of people from around the world - people who are at any stage of their life who are dedicated to learning, while putting themselves out there and leaving their comfort zone. As most people spend between 2-4 weeks at CIA, every week brought together a new group of people who became a tight-knit community by the end, dedicated to improving each other's French knowledge.
Both campuses are so beautiful, one located in the heart of Antibes' Vieux-Ville, another in a historic chalet off the beaten path with a gorgeous view of the sea and mountains. Every professor is so supportive, energetic, and invested in your improvement. They easily accommodate to your situation if you need to move things around. The Aragon accommodation is small but comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a few weeks.
You will fall in love with Antibes, the beauty of French knowledge and culture, and hopefully discover a lot about yourself. I know I did. Merci beaucoup CIA – vous avez changé ma vie!

The French course has been conducted by the CIA staff in an excellent way. It has been fitting perfectly to my skills.
I was happy to have two teachers during each day such that I was training up my flexibility.
The accommodation was exactly what I needed: A studio with privacy, a bathroom, and a well-working WIFI.

My Daughter has been taking lessons at…
My Daughter has been taking lessons at the Centre International d’Antibes for two years and is due back again next year. She absolutely loves her time there making new friends while learning French language which has massively helped her confidence in the language at school and social level. I would definitely recommend the centre and the staff who are very supportive of learning and organising the trip. The first year my daughter stayed at the Castel which was sharing basis but was en-suite. The second year was with a host family. Both were comfortable and she seemed to have enjoyed it. Next year she wants to stay at the Castel so she can be have more interaction with her friends.

My son had a good experience. Things that could be improved:
1. The padlock requirement. When you read that one has to bring a padlock, you immediately start to question whether is this is a serious organization worth of sending your child to. The closet assigned to my son was broken, so he could not use the padlock.
2. My son had the intensive course with one additional hour. This meant that: either he had to leave the course early so that he does not miss an event/lunch; or he was left without dessert since he was having lunch after everybody else. As it is, your schedule is not suitable for having an intensive course.
