Not a safe option for tweens
While I can’t speak to the skill of the language instruction at Centre International d’Antibes I would warn parents to be wary of the summer camp option. It is especially not suitable for younger children/ tweens who need more supervision and guidance. My children were kept outside in the sun for 9-hours on an extremely hot day and weren’t given any food or water. The group left my 9-year-old behind and no one noticed. They both got sunstroke and sunburn. I was thankful that I hadn’t enrolled them in the residential option and was able to remove them from the camp.

Please rest assured that all students aged 8 to 11 are constantly under the supervision of our staff. We maintain a ratio of one supervisor for every eight children in this age group to ensure maximum attention and safety. Our teams are specially trained to look after the well-being of all children, particularly the younger ones who require extra guidance.
Regarding meals, children generally have lunch at the school’s self-service cafeteria. For full-day excursions or activities, we provide a packed lunch consisting of a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of water. We understand the importance of keeping students well-fed and hydrated, especially during active days.
The recent heatwave in the south of France has indeed posed challenges, and we always remind our students to apply sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take necessary precautions against the heat. We are deeply sorry that your children experienced sunstroke and sunburn, and we understand the stress this may have caused.
We have carefully noted the details of your feedback and are reviewing them to improve our services. Additionally, we are considering additional measures to better support children who might need extra assistance to integrate and fully enjoy their stay.

Dès notre arrivée hier, il est devenu évident que les enfants sont traités comme de simples produits, et que l'organisation n'est rien d'autre qu'une machine à faire de l'argent.
Jusqu'à présent, nous n'avons rencontré que de l'impolitesse, de la saleté et une désorganisation totale.

Top Französischkurs für Teenager

Ils sont vraiment dévoués à offrir une éducation et un soutien de qualité à nos étudiants.
Concernant votre observation sur le mélange d'adolescents et d'étudiants plus âgés dans la même classe, permettez-moi de clarifier que nos classes sont organisées par niveau de compétence plutôt que par âge. Cela garantit que chaque élève est placé dans un groupe correspondant le mieux à ses compétences linguistiques et à ses objectifs d'apprentissage. Nous tenons à souligner que nous disposons de deux programmes distincts : l'un pour les jeunes (mineurs) et l'autre pour les majeurs adultes. Ainsi, même si certains cours peuvent regrouper des étudiants de différents âges, les programmes sont spécifiquement adaptés aux besoins et aux attentes de chaque groupe.

Repeat customer!
Our son Leo attended the CIA program for the first time in 2023. He spent a week in Antibes and we decided to make it a family vacation, so we stayed in a local apartment and Leo did the program at CIA during the day. He loved it! He enjoyed the language learning but really loved the activities. The counselors were extremely helpful and engaged. The activities were fun and exciting – Leo still talks about them today. The best testament to our experience at CIA is that we are going back again this year! Leo did not need any convincing and we were immediately sold on the idea as well. We are looking forward to it!

Quite different from intense immersion.
The Aragon Residence was comfortable with very welcoming and helpful staff. Comfy bed, strong, hot shower, simple but very adequate kitchenette. The walk from 🏖️Aragon Residence to breakfast up the hill and then to class at the port building was quite different from the advertised 10-15 minute walk and too much for me.
I found the school staff to be very approachable and positive. I was sick with a URI and had mal-functioning hearing aids during my two weeks and my participation was limited. Even so, I don’t believe I learned anything which advanced my knowledge of french language and customs or my french conversation skill. There was very little opportunity for professorial input to improve my conversation.
I am sorry that I missed excursions to Monaco, StPaul de Vence and Cannes because of feeling sick and tired. I enjoyed the Fragonard tour and bus trip.
All in all, this isn’t the school for me but I am glad of the opportunity to visit Antibes and have the CIA experience.

This was probably one of the best summer camp ever
This was probably one of the best summer experiences I have ever had. The lessons were amazing, the teachers were really kind and made the lessons different each day. The camp and the people itself was amazing, there was a lot of different activities to choose from, apart from the main ones (sailing, aquabranche...) We also visited nearby cities like Monaco-ville, Nice, Antibes, etc. The campus was very clean and it was okay. The animators were kind and understanding too, so all of it combined made a really great experience for me, and my French improvement after just two weeks was massive. Best summer camp I have ever been to.
Definitely will go again this year, and would recommend this to everyone!!

I would have rated it it much higher
I would have rated it it much higher. But the accommodation offered for the family was simply not acceptable. We should have been told beforehand that it is not suitable for a family. The room had mould. This is very unhealthy and I was traveling with my 11 year old. The room was also too small and not very clean. We had to spend our first day looking for a different accommodation which is a shame since we only had one week. Another reason for giving the experience a 3 star instead of 5, is taht my daughter and I had to study in two different schools which made are mornings very hectic, since I had to deliver her first and then go to le port. The distances are not just a 15 min walk as is advertised online. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the teaching, we just wish we didn’t have to stress out about accommodation and logistics in the beginning of our stay.

We want to clarify that particularly heavy rains just before your arrival caused some leaks in our facilities, which contributed to the humidity problems. We have taken immediate corrective measures to resolve these issues and prevent their recurrence.
Your feedback is valuable, and we will reinforce our control procedures to ensure such situations do not happen again.
Regarding the distribution of the schools, we are sorry to hear about your difficulties. We always inform our students that we have two schools for adults, but unfortunately, we cannot know the exact address of the school in advance, as it depends on reservations and the students' levels. We understand that this complicated your mornings, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. We are making every effort to optimize our schedules and minimize the travel distances between the course locations for our students.

Really great week. I highly recommend it. Everything went as well as it could have. Classes were interesting and well planned, teachers were helpful. My teacher in the morning really helped me with my pronunciation. The residence has a fridge, burner, and microwave, everything you need.

Würde immer wieder kommen
Ich habe bereits zwei Aufenthalte beim CIA in Antibes absolviert und gehe diesen Herbst ein drittes Mal. Das Städtchen ist wunderschön und es gibt einige süsse Boulangerien. Beide Male habe ich im Castel Arabel gewohnt. Das Castel, die Studios und der Aussenbereich, sowie das Chateau (die Schule) sind sehr schön. Die Lehrer in der Schule sind sehr nett und haben mir beide Male dabei geholfen, mein Französisch enorm zu verbessern. Die Animatoren und Animatorinnen im Castel sind wahnsinnig nett und man trifft nette Leute aus der ganzen Welt. Das einzige was man im Castel, sowie im Chateau verbessern könnte wäre die Qualität des Essens, vorallem die Optionen für Vegetarier.

Teachers were very nice and the site was great
My daughter attended in 2023, staying at Juan-les-Pins. She said: "Teachers were very nice and they took time to make sure everybody was learning. They made the classes fun. The scenery was really nice."

Summer School/Vacation 2023/24
My daughter went to Centre international d’Antibes for 2 weeks last summer. The overall experience was great and she will go back again this June. Good way to meet people, make new friends from all over the world and enjoy the French Riviera.

A great place to learn French over the…
A great place to learn French over the summer in the most pleasant way. The combination between French lessons and leisure time is perfect. Also, everything is well organized and safe! We have booked CIA for the 2nd time now....can only recommend.
