Having placed an order with Pet Palace UK, (which I have now been informed is actually part of Cat Tree UK), I received an order confirmation from an ‘unverified’ email account, Barclays Fraud Protection text me about the payment, and when I tried to call the number on the website it was invalid… naturally I was concerned.

I replied to the Order Confirmation stating what had occurred and advised I was planning on recalling the payment via Barclaycard. I assumed, either I would hear nothing or they would respond and reassure me.

Oh how wrong could I be… the response I received was openly hostile, my order was immediately cancelled and refunded, they threatened me with legal action, banned me from their site and accused me of extortion.

When I provided screenshots as proof that I wasn’t trying to scam them; that I was simply genuinely concerned they were trying to scam me… all that was focused on was that my initial enquiry email about delivery times, sent before I placed my order, was sent to Pet Palace.co.uk instead of Pet Palace.uk. Hence, I did not receive a reply which obviously added to my overall concerns afterwards; but apparently now nothing else I had flagged was relevant and all further correspondence referenced my inability to read an email address and demanded I apologise to them.

A simple… ‘we are a genuine site, no need to worry’ would have sufficed!!! :)

Now James, I was honest with my error but you’re not being entirely truthful here with your response are you! :)

Nothing stemmed from me not receiving a reply to my email… it stemmed from the bank texting me, and it wasn’t the usual security check which you know because I forwarded it to you. Also it wasn’t that your email went into my spam folder, it was an unverified sender email I was warned not to open the attachment… I did look up Pet Palace but that company doesn’t seem to exist, just like the phone number on it’s website… so I maintain I had genuine concerns, which you could have easily addressed, but instead you just went nuclear!

I am a Katie NOT a Karen… and my previous reviews on here are very positive! :) Do you not think it strange that I would suddenly take issue with you for no reason?!

Such a beautiful, well made and designed cat tree. My cat loves it and she sits regally on top of it, surveying her garden kingdom. The price was very good and it arrived on time and very well packaged. I can highly recommend this firm .

The quality is excellent.
My British longhair isn't quite his full size so we were able to swap the post to make it a bit lower for him and change it back when he's a big boy, he loves it.

The tree arrived promptly, and was relatively easy to put together, although instructions were quite basic.

The cat stand was easy to order and it was delivered sooner than advised.

Needed a tree for my elderly cat and this fit the bill - arrived promptly and was easy to assemble - cat is able to climb up easily and appears to love the memory foam mattress

Good communication from Cat Tree UK throughout regarding delivery dates and responded quickly to a product specific question I had prior to purchase. The outdoor cat tree is very well made, sturdy, great quality, and looks good in the garden but most importantly it was an immediate hit with my 2 cats, who absolutely love it!

It’s ok for the money but the instructions were small and quite poor

This was exactly what my cat needed to help him climb up onto the fence in our garden.
We went for “The Watch Tower” which was a good balance between height and ease of climbing for him.
Immediately when the tower arrived and was unboxed, he instinctively knew what it was and what its purpose was; I think the natural wood smells helped him think it was a tree!
It’s extremely sturdy and my cat is very happily using it.
I’ve been searching for a product like this for a long while and pleased to say this ticked all the boxes.
The order process itself was easy and they kept me well informed with the build date and delivery. The delivery service was great, the tower was properly packaged yet I was still able to unbox it by myself!
Highly recommend. Now looking to get a second tower for the other side of the garden!

We and our two moggies are really happy with the cat tree, it's got pride of place at the back door in a sunny spot. One of them loves it in particular because he needs to be up high observing rather than on the ground. I'd happily by again from cattree.uk and was pleased to support this uk small business rather than go through amazon etc.
