Une arnaque intégrale! Car hire et leurs propositions en lugne sont a fuir
Ils m ont debité 169€ et lorsque je suis arrivée chez le loueur de voitures, Gold Car à l aeroport de Blagnac Toulouse, ils ont affirmé n avoir aucune connaissance de cette compagnie ni de la somme déjà payée. J ai payé plein pot avec Gold car. Je ne louerai plus jamais en passant par ces comparatifs de prix en ligne! Il faut traiter directement avec les loueurs.
Arnaque monstrueuse

From my point of view this company is 100% crooks. Was charged 375 euro for a scratch of 2,7 cm and which was on the car before collection. Also the scratch was so down low that was simply not visible unless you know where is it exactly. Person who was examining the car upon collection found very quickly. I am sure this how they make money, by simply ripping off their customers. So for me Europecar and Carhire are absolute crooks

On arrival I was told that I didnt book insurance and was charged 165 Euros for that. On returning the car the man checked over the car and immediately found a scratch on the drivers door, There were lots of scratches and scuffs on the car but within 10 seconds he points out this one to me, it was a 3 cm scratch and barely noticable. I was charged 807 Euros for the this. Over 1000 Euros for a 3 day hire. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOWER OF RIP OFF MERCHANTS

If I could give Carhire.ie no stars at all I would. All they want to do is get you through the door and then extract enormous amounts of money from you for insurance that you believed was included but turns out it is not. So, do yourself a favour and just don’t book with them; It will end in tears! And it proves, once again, that a seemingly good deal never never turns out to be true.

BEWARE. Do not use this car rental service along with ET car hire, and route. they have several other names that allow these scammers to continue to steal on December,18.2023 I was robbed by this company of 536.14 my Husband and I made a reservation when we went in to pick a vehicle up. They told us that we were supposed to have airplane tickets. I told them that nowhere in the description did it say that. that we did not have airplane tickets. and that if we could get a refund please, the guy never made eye contact with me at the front desk or apologized which led me to believe this was a reaccruing problem. He gave me a number to call when I called the number they said that, I violated the terms and conditions, and that I would not be receiving a dime back. I could even understand if there was a fee for not reading these so-called imaginary terms and conditions, but to take someone’s hard-earned money and not have a care in the world about it these people need to be dealt with, and I am not going to stop here. Please do not use this car rental company.

Do not recommend. Booked and paid extra for an automatic car to be told upon arrival at the airport that they had no automatic cars and couldn’t fulfil our order. Still waiting to get a refund!

We arrived at the Carhire/Europcar counter and the guy there wanted to sell us an additional insurance for 200 Euros. But we had already taken a full- cover- insurance over the booking page, in our case "Rentalcar.com", where they offered an additional- full- cover insurance @Rentalcover.com.
The guy at the Carhire counter was not happy and warned us, that in case something happened, Carhire/Europe car will charge us full. We then will have to claim it back from our own insurance and it will be a hassle.
Sure thing, when we brought back our car, the unfriendly girl, who checked our car, was searching again and again for any damage. She found what she called a scratch- at the edge of the wheel cover! We haven't even noticed when checking the car, because it looked like a imprinted model number. She insisted and charged 200 Euros for repair!!!
We got the money back easily from the insurance Rentalcover.com. To recommend!
We are still furious and believe it was fraud, I am sure the so called scratch is still on the wheel cover. It would seem if you don’t take extra insurance they will charge you for old dents or scrape.
Never again Carhire/Europcar!

Awful situation
Arrived at cork, no car jet desk, they picked us up and took us to this dodgy industrial pot holed shabby office where I had to pay over 200 euro extra for insurance
I was given a dirty car and the service there was just awful
No sat nav and was given no car induction
I would never use this company again!!

Passer par un site moins cher = frais de l'expérience...
Nous avons dû payer 250€ en sus de la voiture, ce qui revient à payer la moitié de la location de voiture en plus...
J'imagine que nous devons remercier pour cette assurance ?

I booked a car for 1 week and payed over 400 Euros for it.
As my flight was delayed 20 minutes they've told me that the car was given to someone else and my money they will keep !!
This company in my opinion is a bunch of bandits so hands off from any business with them !!!

Muy mala atención. Pinchamos una rueda y nos han cobrado, cuando pusimos el seguro a todo riesgo, alegando ahora que era parcial, cuando no aparece en ningún lugar del documento. En el seguro pone que la cobertura es total.
Nos estan intentando engañar, son unos sinvergüenzas y unos estafadores.
Atención horrible y trabajadores fatal.

The is a zero star review but it would not allow. I rented a Car from Carhire through Rentalcar.com for pick up at Dublin Airport. I read all disclosures and information. I was aware that there would be a 5,000 thousand Euro credit hold etc. Checked that Visa, Mastercard etc was accepted. On arrival to pickup car, I was informed that Insurance plan sold to me by Rentacar.com was invalid. I agreed to purchase additional Insurance through Carhire. Carhire asked for additional 900 Euro for insurance on top of already prepaid 938 Euro for Car. I sigh and agreed as I am stuck. Carhire employee then tells me the additional 900 Euro needs to be in cash only. NO CARDS accepted for this extra charge amount. He would not give me car until I find the 900 Euro in cash. I gave up because I don't have that on hand, walked next door to AVIS who charged a little less but would do it all on my Visa. I ask Carhire for a refund and was told to contact Rentacar.com since I booked it through them. Rentalcar.com replied to me and basically said it's due to my poor planning of not bringing 900 Euro in cash so no refund. I have all documents, no where does it say to have a suitcase full of cash with me for extra charges. I am hopeful that my Visa company can help me with the dispute. DO NOT RENT from CARHIRE or RENTALCAR.COM

I ended up paying more in insurance (€50.00 PER DAY) than it cost to rent the car. There was no transparency in this when I booked the car through booking.com. Additionally, I had to take a shuttle to pick up and drop off the car. Absolute joke, never again.

Third time using Carhire at Dublin airport , always really helpful staff and very quick getting our car . Picked up our car this morning and Rachel was great, really professional and friendly- would definitely recommend

Three months waiting for our deposit refund. Tres meses después de finalizar nuestro alquiler siguen sin devolvernos el depósito de 80€ que nos pidieron por el tanque de gasolina.
La empleada del mostrador del aeropuerto retuvo la cantidad junto con el pago restante que faltaba para completar la reserva pero por más que estamos reclamando no nos devuelven el dinero.
Devolvimos el tanque de gasolina lleno y nos dieron el ok, obligándonos ahora a poner una denuncia a consumo ya que no asumen su error.

When we picked up the car, the employee at the airport counter told us that we had to leave a deposit of €80 for the fuel tank. We even paid extra for the premium cover.
We returned the car with full tank, they checked it and told us that everything was ok.
After 3 months of complaints they refuse to refund the deposit.

Je réponds à certaines critiques parues sur ce site.
J'ai l'habitude de louer par le biais de CARHIRE à DUBLIN (filiale d'EUROPCAR)
Effectivement il faut une carte de crédit comme chez TOUS les loueurs !
Et nos cartes VISA sont des cartes de crédit ; la mention crédit y figure d'ailleurs et les numéros et noms doivent être en relief !
Quant à l'assurance qui vous est proposée à 26€/jour, ça correspond au rachat de franchise, c'est tout simplement de ce fait une assurance tous risques mais avec zéro € de franchise au lieu de 2.000 ou 3.000€ de franchise habituellement en cas d'accident responsable.
C'est le prix à payer pour votre tranquillité !!

As majority of previous reviews, we rented a vehicle with carhire/Europe car and took insurance out over a booking page, in our case booking.com.
We had to fork out an additional €120 at the counter as our insurance wouldn't count... what a nightmare to deal with after a long journey. Booking.com refused to pay back the insurance from their side after I cancelled before renting the car.
Had fantastic experiences with enterprise and budget on this trip- won't use carhire/ Europe car/booking.com again

Very disappointed, booked a car and additional insurance through the Ryanair website, however, they included their own additional insurance in the document. At no stage was it mentioned to me that they were going to charge this additional amount. Very poor service and deliberate misleading of clients.

Don’t bother to use this website if you intend to rent cars in Europe. Their rate does not include the mandatory insurance covers and you will be left with a heart attack bill at the counter when you are forced to pay for all the extras. I would give a zero star as well.

ATTENTION ! Cet organisme rattaché à Europcar est une arnaque sans nom.
En effet, les locations paraissent légèrement en dessous du marché mais vous vous retrouvez sur place à payer le double !
Ils demandent une carte de "crédit" et non de "débit" et nous, français n'avons pas ce genre de carte, sachant que les carte Revolut et N26 ne sont pas autorisées (évidemment).
Ils nous obligent donc à prendre une assurance pour que notre carte bancaire puisse passer (pourquoi fonctionne t-elle avec une assurance en plus ? On se le demande...)

Le véhicule était très bien, propre et spacieux. L'employé de chez Europcar très sympa.
Il ne s'est pas retenu de nous dire "Vous verrez, quand vous verrais le véhicule, vous me remercierez"
Bien sûr ! Après avoir payé le double, on espérait bien avoir un véhicule un minimum agréable. Un grand merci surtout !

En conclusion, organisme à éviter !
