If I could give less I would . Stay away from boatid and all it other .....Id names.
Scams they tell you items in stock or there was a technical issue and order was not sent to shipping. Still waiting and fighting for my order. Will be contacting my credit card company tomorrow and filing a report with the bbb and putting a warning on eBay also

This company is a giant scam. I’ve been told 3 times now that my refund for the order that was never delivered will be processed in 24-48hrs. Calling tomorrow for the 4th time to try and get my money back. Find another supplier. I wouldn’t even take a chance with this company

Update: After 4 weeks of trying to get a refund I was finally issued a refund. I still don’t recommend this company. Their customer service is horrible.

Horrible customer service. Waited for almost a month with no updates and finally I cancelled our order.

I needed a replacement gas cap for my boat. All the usual suspects were out of stock so I came across the Boat Id site. They showed my item in stock and even had the capability to live chat (impressive for 7:50am on a Sunday morning). I e-chatted with a man named Phillip Stone with Boat Id about a desperately needed replacement cap and he indicated they were in stock and it would ship Monday (the next day). I ordered the item even paid $10 to ship it (premium pricing for fast turnaround is acceptable). However, while I got an email indicating they had my order and had charged my card. I never got a shipping confirmation email on Monday the anticipated ship date. SO...

Tuesday I called and asked about the status and was told by the operator she couldn't confirm one way or the other if the item shipped or would be shipping that day. Tuesday would have been the last day to send it to allow for the 3 day shipping window. The customer service operator indicated that they would "have the status researched and someone would call me back". As you would expect that did not happen SO...

Wednesday (8/5) morning at 9am I called back to be told that the item shows backordered till the 19th of August. So...
At the end of this sad tale I now have to scramble to try and find the boat part locally as they two days wasted by Boat Id have shortened the time window so I cannot find another outlet to ship one that will arrive on time.

I truly believe that I was lied to by the sales staff that they did not know and therefore could not guarantee that my part would ship on my agreed time window. Maybe they just didn't care.

While I will never do business with them again I may be in the minority of opinion all I can do is share my dissatisfaction with my experience and I offer this opinion in the most professional way possible, but please make your own decisions, Time and more google reviews will tell in time if this company is good or not, but they will never get a second chance with me.

They took my money, did not ship the item, did no update me on the status of my order and blamed suppliers back log for why they did not follow up with my order. May be the single worst customer service experience I have ever had with purchasing an item. No accountability, creditability or integrity. BUYER BEWARE!! Find another source if you can.

What a waste of time, I’ve been waiting for a month for a part that I was told shipped the same day I placed the order. Order placed June 22, 2020 and today is August 2, 2020 no emails, no tracking number.

I ordered a power pedestal for my Lund Boat. I was told by the sales rep it would work..and it didnt Now they are asking me to send pics of the wrong item that didnt work, and the base that it fits into? On their website, there is NO OPTION FOR A REFUND, and I probably will be stuck with the wrong item Boat ID promised me that it would work...I was promised a call back, i never got terrible slimy company....

Ordered fuel pump July 15, was told I would receive pump within 3 days. On the 5th day I called, was told pump will be shipped within 2 days. Called 4th day, was told don't know why it hasn't been shipped, but will ship within 1-2 days Called back 2 days later still has not been shipped. Over1 week and they still can not confirm if pump will be shipped. Cancelled order was told should receive refund within 2 days. Didn't receive refund. Called back was told should receive within 2 days. Eighteen days still no pump or refund. STAY AWAY!!!! Typicall respondse 2 MORE DAYS

This retailer is awful. Ordered a product that was in stock but had a week lag for shipping, then turns out that it was back ordered but should be available soon. Then turns out no idea when it would be in stock. They are drop shipping items so they have no real idea of what is in stock or not. Had my money for over 40 days then finally when they said my refund would take 5-7 business days. Save your time, order elsewhere.

My order was processed and shipped quickly.
My first time experiance with BoatiD was perfect.

I'm very happy with the product that I received. It did take a little long, but I kept getting notices about it's status and availability.

I would give no stars if possible.

I ordered a gauge and a prop for my boat. They were both shipped with the same tracking number. When the tracking showed "delivered" only the gauge showed up.

I called customer service and was told they would overnight a new one. They told me I would receive an email with the new tracking. The next day I got no update so I chat with a rep. He said they needed to wait til the next day. Still nothing.

I chat with a new rep. she informs me the part is now showing out of stock. They have nothing to send.

So they strung me along. Now I have no way of getting the prop I needed for this weekend in time. If they had just been honest Monday I would have a chance of overnight or 2 day shipping one from someone who has one!

I understand mistakes happen. Being lied to is another issue, and it's one I don't tolerate.

THIS IS A DROP SHIP COMPANY and they use customer service reps to deflect mistakes. Buyer beware.

Terrible. Took forever to "ship" the product then it was delivered to a completely wrong city to an unknown address even though my shipping address on the order was correct. It's been 3 weeks and I have no item and no refund. Disputing with credit card.

They eventually refunded.

Placed an order on 6/21 for delivery on 6/26. Never received it. From 6/27 I have been in contact with boatid and have had nothing but lies. Empty promises on fulfilling my order. On 7/5 I canceled my order and on 7/6 was told I would receive a refund in 24-48 hours. Today is 7/10 and no refund. I contacted them today and was told “they” were still requesting refund. I don’t know who “they” is. I have copies of live chat transcripts every step of the way. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and the Better Business bureau. I have contacted their local police department, my police department, regarding fraud. My next move will be to investigate who owns the building they are in and ask if they are aware of the type of business that is being conducted. I’m done playing.

Their “shipper” lost the package and now Boatid has no more in stock. Now I get to wait 10 days for a refund. Don’t use Boatid or FedEx.

Sent me the wrong propeller, never used it, won't take it back. If I could give a zero, I could. Called customer service and asked to speak to a manager. Was promised a return call. Never happened.

Came in super fast, overall great service! Can not complain!

I made some purchases at the beginning of May, the prices were fair, and all seemed reasonable to me. The only issue that I had was that they split my order into a bunch of packages to ship them faster instead of just sending a bigger package. The one I actually wanted took nearly a week longer to get to me then the first delivered package. Everything that I ordered was shipped, got tracking numbers, and was delivered when the tracking said that it would be. I can't say anything about the customer service as I didn't chat with them.

Excellent service and selection. Exactly what I wanted and ordered. Definitely a repeat customer.
