Theft. Fraudulent. Non consent transaction.

They lied about having two parts I needed in stock. I called them first to make sure. They promised both parts are in stock and would ARRIVE on Saturday. I called to follow up on Friday and was told it would take AT LEAST two weeks longer.

I cancelled the order, and called to make sure the order was cancelled.

I do NOT recommend BoatID, look elsewhere for products.

I live in the Fiji Islands. Long story short, I ordered a radar stand online from the BOATiD web site and had it shipped to a friend's place in CA.
They shipped the item which I had carried down to Fiji and discovered after it arrived that they had shipped the wrong item and not what I ordered. Spent 30 minutes on an international call to customer service who informed me that I should sell it locally and order another.
Have thrown the product in the bin and will never buy again from this company.

On 05/26/24 I ordered a Bomar boat hatch for a boat I am building. Within 5 minutes of placing the order I found the same hatch on Overtons with a coupon for $35 less ($129 instead of $164). I tried to cancel the order online with BOATiD and the screen showed a green "SUBMITTED" box. I did not get a cancellation code, so I tried again two more times with the same result of "SUBMITTED". I figured if nothing else, when and if it ships, I could return it. I did not have 30 minutes to sit on the phone and get passed around only to find out it was cancelled. Well, It never was cancelled so it shipped on 05/29. I called and had the misfortune of speaking with an arrogant kid named "Jam" who informed me that I would be charged $13 and change for shipping and a $12 re-stock fee....so getting $137 of the $164 back....AND go through their 12 step process of e-mails and shipping labels, etc. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with this "Jam" and he told me that he is a consumer as well and I should have known the order was not cancelled because I did not get a confirmation number. His smart a$$ recommendation was that I should have called them. I asked to speak with his supervisor--He said they were all busy. Imagine that! Finally I asked again for a supervisor 10 minutes later and they finally waived the $12 restocking fee. So I am out almost 10% of the purchase price, plus the hassle to go to FedEx to ship back after getting the label printed, etc.
I will be writing again and going to the BBB if the refund isn't processed. Jonathan A.

It’s been 4 months I’ve been dealing with these scam artists! I ordered a battery , they sent the wrong battery, told me to send it back at my expense $130 and they would reimburse me and they would send the correct battery. They never sent me the correct one making excuses for a two week time delay so I canceled the order. They never refunded me my $280 paid for the battery. I had to have my credit card company open a claim. Almost 3 months later my card company got , only my $280 back, but boatid still had my $130 return shipping fee. They have not refunded it and I have been calling for 3 1/2 months and keep getting the runaround from multiple agents with promises. Agents read off a script that sounds the same every time I call. I should have done my research into their company and would have seen other folks that were taken by these scammers also. WARNING, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS!

THEY ARE A DROPSHIP company, don't buy from BoatID if you need something on a specific date. The customer service was pleasant, but they couldn't help me to get a tracking number for an urgent item I purchased. All they kept saying is they "emailed the manufacturer and it will take 2-3 business days". Total bait and switch in my mind.

I normally do not like "on-line" shopping, but BoatiD made it seamless. Customer Service was knowledgeable and very helpful. The process for payment was easy and shipping was fast with prompt delivery. Thank you, BOATiD!

Parts were as described and fast shipping.

Once again Boatid sent me the wrong item. Ordered a Springfield pedestal bushing. Some how they manage to send me a bottle of acid boat cleaner. That has been leaking during shipping to get to my residence. I call them and they're sorry. They will fix it... Fix it my arz. It has been a month of going back and forth by emails with different customer service agents. All of which ALWAYS say the same thing. This company wants me to be responsible for acid cleaner that the cap leaks and drop it off at a shipping carrier. That is the dummiest thing ever. We'll Im not doing that and be responsible for that. I can't get them to ship my original item I ordered either. A item that is only $20.00 and they obviously can't afford to send me to straighten the problem out. Oh yeah they won't even do a refund. This is the most shady company. Do not buy from them EVER. Accidentally broke one of my wife's favorite rods, it was out of production, but I found one at Boatid. It shipped quickly and arrived in good shape, no problems at all.

I checked with customer service about some spark plugs ,web page showed 1 order as a PAIR ,so she confirmed this ,ordered 6 PAIRS ,only got 6 individual plugs . Now they changed web page to single plug per order and wont honor their own employees mistake ,this is classic bait and switch ,I will NEVER spend a penny with this sorry company .

I purchased a steering cable for my Bayliner which turned out to to be the wrong length. Unfortunately due to uncontrollable circumstances I didn't realize it until well after the time limit on their return policy. After contacting customer service they went above and beyond in accepting my return and refunding my money.

Incompetent sales people, and customer service! Ordered cables they sent the wrong ones 2 times. Tried to return them for a refund these people are a group of thieves. WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN 500.00 lesson in online shopping.

I am completely satisfied with the price and prompt delivery of this part for my outrigger canoe. There wasn't a replacement part at HUKI or Western Marine. I will use and recommend this site.

Do not use this company they misrepresented a product they sold me and tried to get me to purchase an item that should have been shipped with the hatch the pictures they show includes the screen but the wanted me to buy it separate their company from what I see farms the piece you need looks like it just finds the part and buys it from another company. Be cautious LeRoy Latham . I put my name so you won’t think this is bull

If I could leave no stars I would. Ordering a part for my boat and after 2 months never received the order. When I cancelled the order a month ago, I haven't received a refund. Terrible customer service, terrible experience, just all around terrible. They can't even tell me when I will receive it.

They could not be worse. I was ordering 3 made to order boat fender from Taylormade and they had they were cheaper than west marine. After six months of pushed back delivery dates I called Taylormade to find there was no order. They do not do business with Boat ID. It took another month for them to finally send me a check for my money back. They will flat out lie about anything.

My name is Gabor Zoltan Bekesi. I am from Hungary. I have ordered from boatid.com a folding steering wheel for my Bavaria 38 Cruiser made by Lewmar. I was reading the reviews on the internet after I placed and paid my the order.
The truth is, that after one day I started to worry, so I wrote an email to boatid. They reacted me almost right away and informed me what was the status of my order. Today it is 5th of July, I placed the order on the 25th of June. Today I received the ordered article in a perfect packing. It had traveled at least 7.500 km passed customs clearance etc. and now I have it.
I can only say and write positive review about Boatid. Thank you Guys for your perfect job. For sure I am going to order other parts for my sailing boat.

STOP! I neglected to read the reviews before ordering a product from BOATID. They shipped a huge box to the billing address, not the shipping address. The product was damaged. I shipped it to the correct address. They refuse to compensate me for the shipping charges or replace the damaged product. I am out $2,000.

Just received my refund for the wrong parts took 30 days total. boatid a phone call from you could have avoided the whole situation
