After the item I needed was out of stock at my favorite online boating site I decided to look past the negative reviews about BoatiD and give them a try. What a mistake - it's been a week of emails and calls to do a simple product exchange after THEY screwed up my order. Save yourself a lot of aggravation do not purchase anything from BoatiD.

Horrible customer service.Sells part that are not even in stock then lie for 3 weeks about it.Way better vendors out there.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a boat hatch from these people. After receiving the wrong product and multiple emails without a response it took them two weeks to process a return and they refused to credit my card even though it was their mistake. As of now they received my return two weeks ago and still have not credited my card for the $403. From the day I ordered until now it has been six weeks altogether. Horrible customer service so cross your fingers and hope you get the correct part.

Placed an order based on delivery estimates listed on each item on their website. They missed them completely. No follow up from them once items never shipped. When contacted days after delivery was SUPPOSE to arrive, they couldn't confirm if it shipped, if it had any tracking information, or what the new estimated delivery could be. Was told that it could take 24-48 hours to get back to us with any information and that technically is LONGER than the original estimated delivery. Blamed manufacturer and of course CV19. But as a business owner who is also working with CV19 issues, we constantly communicate any issues with customer throughout order process to receipt. THAT is what you have to do in this day and age.

Do not use this company. It says says "ships same day" but after 2 days my order had not shipped. I was told to wait 48 hours. I just talked to them again and was told to wait another 48 hours. I told them to refund my money and was told that will take about a week. This site is a joke. Probably will not ever see the $285 is sent for my order. Wish I could give them 0 stars

My first impression of BoatID was positive. The customer service rep was knowledgeable and helpful. It was after my card and order were processed that it took a turn. I paid for expedited shipping and three days later, the day it was to have shown up, had still not received tracking. Upon calling and getting a different CSP she said it was out of stock. She went on to say that she saw it at another location and would get back to me. Next I got a cancellation email. I am a buyer at a custom boat manufacturer and thought initially I had found another good source. Not the case! Never again!

I placed an order in early June for cleaning products for my dock. They immediately charged my card the full amount if $98. On June 15th, I received a fraudulent email indicating my order had been processed. On June 24th, I attempted to track my order, but no tracking info wad available. I called the company only to find that my order had been placed on hold (without any notice to me) as they no longer had the merchandise they had sold me. Fraud, plain and simple.

I ordered dock lines online on June 6th. Credit card billed immediately. The order was processed the next day. The online status on June 7th indicated order processed. On June 16th I inquired about the order status. They informed me it would take 24 to 40 business hours to get a update, yes business hours. I received no update as of the 22nd. I called to get another update and was told they cannot deliver the product I ordered. They informed me it could take up to 5 days to get my refund. This is the 2nd time I ordered from Boat ID and the last time they advertised the product I ordered and they shipped another cheaper brand. They did not even carry the brand they advertised (with pictures) for sale. It took about 2 weeks to get my refund. I asked for a manager and was told no manager is available and it would do no good to speak to one. I will never do business with Boat ID again, BEWARE. I believe they do business under several names. 16 days to find out they cannot deliver what they billed me for. 21 days to get my money back. TERRIBLE!!!!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. COMPLETE RIP OFF. ITEMS LISTED IN STOCK ARE NOT ACTUALLY IN STOCK. IF YOU PAY FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING, IT WON'T MATTER. IT WILL NOT SHIP. THEY WILL NOT CANCEL YOUR ORDER AND CLAIM IT ACTUALLY HAS SHIPPED BUT PROVIDE NO TRACKING NUMBER. THEY ARE CROOKS AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Called and ordered a steering kit, was told it was in stock, payed a extra $35.00 to ship over night, order was placed before the 4pm cut off time, was told by the rep he called the warehouse and it would go out overnight. Called the next day because I did not get a email with the overnight tracking number, I was told the order was still being processed and it would ship in a few days. Why did they tell me I could do overnight and charge for it ??? Can't get a answer 2 days later. Still has not shipped. Everytime you call they say a manager will call within 24-48 hours.

They don't even deserve 1 star. Been waiting 2 weeks for them to send a pump I puchased 05/30/20. On 06/05/20, I recieved an email that it had shipped, gave tracking # to. Today, 06/11/20, tracking showes USPS is still waiting to get the package from BoatId. I have talked to customer service 4 times, everytime they check into it, and they want me to wait 24-48 hours for they to investigate and reply. They have been paid, won't ship another one, they want me to wait for them to decide to ship.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOU HARD EARNED MONEY WITH BOATID!!!!

While shopping for a Garelick 4-step dive ladder and Garelick mounting bracket (#99187) I noticed Boat I.D. had the bracket for a great price. I purchased the bracket from Boat I.D., but was planning on buying the ladder from another seller. The rep said he could have the bracket to me in a week or two max. On that condition I agreed to purchase the ladder from them as well.
The ladder was delivered within a week, but after numerous weeks, still no bracket.
After numerous calls, Boat I.D. finally told me that the bracket will now cost me almost $200 more than what I already paid for weeks ago, which is their advertised price.
I told them I bought the ladder with the conditions of having the bracket and they said you can return the ladder, but that I would have to pay for the shipping cost. Subsequently charging me more for their mistakes. They wouldn't even try to match other sellers. Their customer service is less than the minimum 1 star.
NOTE: As of this writing (06-10-2020) the bracket is still advertised on their website at the price I originally paid and not at the price they demanded for this product.

I'm very happy with the Garlick stainless steel gunwale boarding ladder I ordered and received. Very good quality and very sturdily made. My order came in very little time and I'm pleased.

Do not order from this company!!!!!!!!! I placed my order, they charged my account and than 6 days later still could not provide me any information on my order. When I tried to cancel and request a refund they told me it shipped and could not be canceled. When I requested a tracking number I was told I would have to wait 24 hours, this was after I had already waiting 48 hours for a tracking number. When I called again they still had no information and could not provide me any information... they are a horrible company to buy from.

Very unhappy customer. First of all it took 7 weeks to get the part. Would have liked to have had it prior to the boat going in for the season. We keep the boat here at the house in the off season & during boating season it is on a mooring. Thought ordering on 4/20/20 that would have in plenty of time. No it arrived on 6/2/20. Next, it was a replacement part & it pictured what came with it. As well in the catalog again showed the same picture of what came with it. Well it did not. Just the replacement part itself arrived in the box only. The other 2 pieces do not ship with it. Yes I understand it is a "replacement" part, but what if you didn't have the one you were replacing or those parts were missing? Spoke to customer service on 6/2 when part arrived & explained -was suppose to have follow up email in 1-2 business days. I did not. Called customer service today & asked why I did not receive an email with response? Also, advised they need to update the website for that part & the catalog. Very misleading. False advertising. Will NEVER order from them again.

A little change of pace... While everyone is very quick tell you about a bad experience and very slow to tell you about a good one. Well here's a good one... I ordered a part for my boat from CDI. I was very anxious to get the part as I'm an avid fisherman and I was not able to take my boat out. The part was here in 3 days without any extraordinary amount for extra shipping. On top of which I actually got a personal response from one of the company members. Just to sum it up I have since ordered more electronics from CDI knowing ahead of time that the part will arrive sooner rather than later. I would recommend this company to anyone who's looking for quality products from a reputable company. Thanks,Bob

Needed a new stern light for my boat. Did an online chat to verify specs. Excellent service and speedy delivery of quality product. 5 stars

TERRIBLE! Ordered a new stainless steel raker prop, suppose to come with hub installed as advertised on theere website. Recieved it and the hub was not it the prop. Called to see what was going on and they told me the hub was not included. Even though it said it is online... After a week of waiting finally talked to manager. Only to be told they would take $30 dollars off a $80 kit! After I paid for prop and hub! Would not make it right and send me the kit that was supposed to be included. Highly disappointed in the. And will never recommend or do business with them again! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! Don't be next and stay away from boatid! I have all the emails and pictures to prove everybit of this statement as well.

I wouldn’t even give this place 1 Star! It made me! I ordered an engine harness adapter, then send me an internal engine harness, then tell me the manufacturer said it was a suitable replacement since they were out of stock what I ordered! It’s not a suitable replacement and that’s how they do business! Waiting for a shipping return receipt for 4 days now and nothing. I paid 200$ for this part! Look it up 421-4401. They won’t let me talk to a manager. They’ve still yet to give me a refund! This was a week ago since I’ve been waiting for a return shipping label! This company is bullsh! I ended up ordering from cdi! From a wonderful lady named Susan! She said they are the manufacturer and they don’t sell through anyone. People get their parts and sell them and half of the time they call cdi because of this bullshi! If you want the worst customer service then go ahead and order! Otherwise order from iboats. Not this bullsh idboats! Better yet straight from the source cdi and a great gal Susan will answer you’re call and the mechanic dale will answer all of your questions! Promise!!!!

They had everything I needed for my boat, shipped fast and everything arrived in perfect condition. I'll definitely be ordering from them again!
