Terrible website and little guidance at the centre
The score here is fake - the Google Maps score is 2.4/5 from 1200+ reviewers. The website has been terrible for at least 3 years that I’ve been using this service, and no one seems to be interested in fixing it. I spent 1.5 hours going through the form again and again until (finally!) it didn’t have a bug and didn’t kick me out / freeze on me. I have multiple screen videos to demonstrate these issues, if needed (but I’m sure they would’ve known if they tried to fill out an application at least one time).
There is no guidance at the entrance. A relaxed guy in casual clothes chewing some snacks from a pack came out at 8:31am to say ‘appointments only today - join the queue if you have one’. I joined the queue on the street as I had a 8:45am appointment. At 8:46, I saw people walking in from the end of the queue inside. There was another queue inside for people with appts at this time. How would I have known if I was at the end of the queue and heard no announcements whatsoever? It’s a mess.
The screen with the queue numbers indoors is very delayed so they call out numbers. My number was missed altogether, they went to the next two numbers until I came over and asked.
They request that you sign the checklist blindly, before you see what they ticked. And they don’t show you what they ticked later either, so if any of your documents have been missed in the pile, you have no control over it. Against the law and the process.

I did a pcc application where i did the premium service and paid for shipping that hasn’t been shipped and its been over 12 weeks , the representative at bls send me back saying that it has been shipped to me on march 10th, when i called purolator and checked they confirmed that it was delivered at the bls office edmonton. And yet the representative confused me by saying that it is delivered to my address and ir isnt with them. No contact from them, off hours of operation for someone working 9-5 and being so unprofessional about this whole case

Not enough staff for the amount of applicants. It took me 6 hours to be able to process my OCI application. The system is not very effective.
