I gave Jake my opinion on Go assist not realizing he was from Big Warrenties.
He listened attentively and set about coming up with a solution which was acceptable to me. Well done Jake.

Subject: Warning to Bournemouth & Poole readers: Concerning experience with local repair firm Go Assist (Branksome)Dear Editor,I am a local resident writing to raise awareness about Go Assist, a home repair company based at Unit 17, Branksome Business Park, Bourne Valley Road, Poole.Last Thursday I contacted the company regarding my fridge-freezer. I was offered a policy promising an £80 discount on a new appliance if it couldn’t be repaired, and was reassured that fridge-freezers “don’t normally need parts.” An appointment was arranged for Monday/Tuesday.After confusing messages about timing, an engineer named Alex eventually arrived in the afternoon. He was visibly agitated. He quickly declared that my compressor was “seriously rusted” from a gas leak and offered only £40 off a new machine instead of the £80 promised.Suspicious of the diagnosis, I removed the back panel myself after he left. There was zero rust on the compressor — only dust and what looked like a fresh fingerprint. No evidence of any gas leak or major fault.This left me feeling deliberately misled in an attempt to push an unnecessary sale. The whole process — from shifting appointment times to the questionable diagnosis and reduced offer — felt designed to exploit vulnerable customers with broken appliances.Go Assist operates across the UK but is registered locally in Branksome. With summer heat putting extra strain on fridges, I worry other Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset residents could face similar pressure tactics.I have reported the matter to Citizens Advice/Trading Standards and kept all messages, call notes and photographs as evidence. I urge anyone considering their services to get a second opinion, document everything, and consider independent repair options.Local companies should uphold high standards — experiences like mine suggest this one may not

Helen was very patient with me; I have a condition called dysarthria, which means that I can struggle to get my words out. The phone line wasn't very good either, so I I had to repeat myself on many occasions. We got there in the end, and I'm happy with the terms and know that my kitchen appliances are fully covered.

Helen was friendly, polite and well spoken, making everything easy to understand.

Jane was very personable, gave all Information requested, was patient with my questions, the right amount of chatty, wan't pushy or overwhelming. I actually enjoyed this call

I had a query with the quotation l was given to repair my double oven .I contacted customer services and spoke to a young lady by the name of Gemma who was very helpful and offered excellent customer service and with her gentle persuasion we came to an agreement and I did not cancel my contract.,she is an asset to the customer service team which goes a long way in keeping customers happy keep up the good work.
