Beyond adventure describes this experience perfectly. We were a group of 8 and everyone agreed this was the best part of our Portugal trip. Joao treats everyone like family and his excitement and love of the Portugal coast shines through in this adventure. We were well equipped , guided with enthusiasm and fed delicious meals and snacks. We explored the beautiful waters, caves, and snorkeling. Words cannot describe the impact of this experience. This is a must!!!!

Had a great day out with João, even beginning the day very tired and hungover the energy and enthusiasm he brought with him soon helped to turn all that around.
Every part of the day with him was great, he really does put so much effort into everything - running about everywhere even with an ankle brace on and wanting to make sure we all had a great time, showing us loads of interesting things or telling us interesting things whilst we were driving around in the van listening to all the tunes he was blasting out to sing along to.
Lunch on the beach was really good and he brought a great selection along for us all, even having some more snacks when we went back to his lovely home at the end of the day to put all the kit away and of course see Simba his huge friendly dog again.
I genuinely couldn’t think of any more João could’ve done during the day to make it better, he took us to some great spots to jump off the cliffs, some cool caves to explore and then finishing off with some snorkelling around the island was a really great experience and I’d love to go again. 100,000,000/10

The whole day was absolutely amazing!
João and Pedro explained everything and gave us so much detailed information about Portugal and the local areas.
They could not do enough to make the day perfect, we went kayaking, cliff diving, caving, snorkelling and drove up the mountain to see the views. We had an abundance of food and drinks all day including home made picnics and grape juice.
It was a physically demanding day but all our equipment was provided and we felt safe and secure all day. The small group meant we were like a family and could really make the most of the time we had.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone who likes outdoor adventures

João provided everything we could have ever hoped for with our kayaking adventure.
The day was long but l'd do it again in a second. We were collected and taken back to his home turf to get kitted up, then drove through beautiful countryside to reach the beach... we kayaked, we cliff jumped, we kayaked some more, we explored caves, swam and went snorkelling. They provided us with the most epic food and wine after on the beach which was way more than you expect from 'lunch and snacks provided' and then ended with a spectacular viewpoint.
There was never pressure on those who didn't want to cliff jump or snorkel etc so everyone was able to do what they felt comfortable with without judgement.
The team João and Pedro captured everything by photo and video so we get to keep those awesome memories too!
I'd never book with anyone else. These guys are THE ONES!!!

Beyond Adventures was the highlight of our trip to Portugal! Joao was such an inviting host and incredibly knowledgeable about his local community. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who likes to get outside and have fun!

This day was one of the highlights of our trip. João arranged everything perfectly from wetsuits to snacks and lunch. We got to do all the fun things: kayaking, sea caves exploring, snorkelling and cliff jumping. João makes you feel super safe and comfortable. We are so so so happy we booked this adventure and would recommend it to everyone!

In all my years of traveling, this was the best tour I have ever been on! If you are fun, free-spirit and adventurous, I highly recommend this amazing excursion. Joao goes above and beyond to make sure you have a trip of a lifetime with memorable experiences. I was a solo 36 year old female traveler and felt super safe and comfortable the entire time. The tour is well planned and organized, it felt like we were family with the small personal group of 6 people.

I enjoyed going outside of the city and exploring beautiful Mother Nature. I would come back to Portugal just do do this tour again because it was that amazing!!! Joao is one of a kind tour guide that we were lucky to have, he is kind, caring, fun, energetic, charismatic, adventurous, and funny! So happy to have him as our guide because he made the trip memorable showing us a lot of hidden gems. I am still singing all his Spotify songs in my head to relive the day! My advice is don’t think and just do it, because you will not regret it!!!

Amazing experience in the breathtaking Natural Park of Arrábida.
Pick-up and drop-off from Lisboa makes it so easy to enjoy. Then, the gear and all the equipment were in top condition. But the 5 stars go to João, he is the best tourist guide you will find!

It was the best day in our entire Portugal week. The guide was amazing, the views breathtaking, and dynamics of interchanging activities was just right. Snacks on rocks, rich lunch on the beach - remarkable. Vine, fresh veggies, can it be better? This trip is so much different and so much beyond and above regular commercial trips for tourists. Beyond Adventure’s kayak tour was one of the highlights of our Portugal trip. From the moment we were picked up, João’s energy level and professionalism set the tone for what would be an incredible day. The day included more than just kayaking (climbing around in caves, wading in the water, cliff jumping, snorkeling, etc.), and the pacing of activities was spot-on, allowing us to enjoy each moment without feeling rushed nor bored. João also was very accommodating to different abilities or comfort levels. Want to climb up a cliff? Sure, go ahead. Want to chill in the kayak and watch others jumping into the water? Not a problem. It's clear that João is passionate about what his does, and it shines through in every interaction. I cannot recommend Beyond Adventures highly enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure during your time in Portugal, look no further.

João is so knowledgeable and accommodating. He is the most energy filled your guide I have ever come across. He is not only entertaining but also an amazing host who fed us with his heart open. The best experience I had in Portugal. Unfortunately since it was on my first day, I didn't like any of the tours I went to later on - he set the bar too high! Being that I'm not the most avid kayaker, I was initially nervous for this excursion, especially since I was traveling solo. I could not have had a better time! Truly this was the most memorable part of my trip to Portugal thanks to Joao and the amazing experience he created!!!! It felt like I was spending the day with a friend and we got the VIP tour of the area. I was lucky enough to have a very small group of Joao, myself and another solo traveler which I think made it even more amazing because it felt that much more personal. Joao prepared us with tons of equipment and was so supportive and accommodating throughout all parts of the trip. He had us laughing and smiling constantly with his high energy, dad joke humor all while sprinkling in some knowledge of the area as well. Joao also gave us constant snacks, drinks and lots of wine along the way to make sure we were well fed and enjoying our time. There was also a surprise at the end that will ensure you never forget the views and fun had along the way. If you are in Portugal this is a MUST! I've raved about this to all my friends and family since it happened and will never forget this amazing experience. 100000000% recommend this!

This was the best thing I did in my 10 days in Portugal! You get to experience a stunning coastline by kayak, explore sea caves, cliff jump and snorkel. The amazing guide João has endless fun energy! He really ignites your adventurous spirit with this trip. He feeds you lots of yummy treats and wine and lunch, provides all the gear and towels you need, and sends GoPro footage from the day. The kayaking and exploring takes a lot of physical effort, but it's 100% worth it!

I joined the Beyond Adventures All Inclusive Rock Climbing tour because I would like to try outdoor climbing during my trip to Lisbon, and it was the best decision I made on this trip. João was an amazing and enthusiastic host, and he made sure everyone enjoy themselves on the tour, whether they are experienced climbers or beginners. The hike through some parts of the national park was fun, and a picnic with a variety of delicious food on the beach was a great way to conclude the tour. I couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

This tour is far from commercial; it's a personalized journey. João is more like a close friend than a mere tour leader. He goes out of his way to ensure that your day is filled with joy and excitement. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the "Beyond Adventure" team. João's level of energy and support is extraordinary. The value you receive far exceeds the cost—the experiences and memories are truly priceless.

Such a fun experience and João's energy is a new level that made the experience even better. Thank you João for being so kind and patient 🤠 I've been recommending this tour to everyone since I came back. Really informative about Arrabida Park, the surrounding areas and villages on the way, and the importance of biodiversity. If you're in Lisbon and have a spare day book this!

João was the best guide we could’ve ever ask ! We had an absolute blast despite others in our group not helping out or anything. He was very accommodating and extremely outgoing! Loved the energy and will be back for sure

We had a really great time all day long. Joäo was joking all the time and made us feel comfy. Really energetic person. This is not just a kayaking tour, you will explore so much more like - exploring caves, snorkeling, jumping from a cliffs (the biggest one was 8 meters I believe, scary but totally worth after you jump off the cliff, taking a bus tour through untouched land of nature park. Also, we had 2 meals so you don't have to worry about the food all day long - 1 meal after exploring cliffs and later big lunch at the cost of the ocean.
You will be given swimming suit 4mm thick which is more than enough to feel comfy in the water (even at the winter time). Don't be scared to take a tour even if you are not in a season time.
Also, big plus is that all day long Joäo will take pictures and video with his GoPro which isn't charged extra.
If you like nature this tour is worth every cent.
