The ticketing process for our Vietnam Railways train tickets was super easy and a great alternative to booking through the official railways website in case you have difficulties using a foreign credit card.

We used Baolau about 5 times on our Vietnam trip for booking trains . Every time it was a very very easy experience and we had our tickets within 5-10mins . We were able to choose our seats and paid a reasonable price for them too. One time we found them cheaper on 12GO and decided to use them (for a 11th of April booking) . We are now 5 days after booking the seats (today is the 9th of April, 2 days until we travel) and we are still waiting to find out where we are sitting , They lie and tell you , you will know your seating quickly . HOW WRONG!
So we have given up and decided to write them off (lost €23) and we booked with Baolau instead . I’ve contacted 12GO (3 times) and complained and was pretty much dismissed and told there is no refund available either, as Vietnam trains don’t refund .
But I see it as their problem , if they cannot deliver like they are supposed to (It’s their business) , then they should be taking the hit for not doing it quick enough and refunding us .
We wish we had booked with Baolau in the first place ,we were just trying to save a bit on our budget , you learn from your mistakes, I suppose .
I definitely recommend Baolau , give them a try , it was so easy !

**PS , as a European and having an international card , it is not easy at all to book on the official Vietnam Railway site , as the system does not seem to accept our cards . I even downloaded VPpay but that didn’t work either , so companies like Baolau are invaluable , as they accept international cards , like Revolut and Wise.

This was one of the best experiences of our trip! We took a sleeper berth and travelled overnight, the cabins and washrooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A great way to see the country!
Customer support was great, when the train we organizing trod to book was unavailable they flight back to us right away with an alternate option and refunded us the difference.

We wanted to book tickets in advance from the UK for a train journey from Hanoi to Ninh Binh.

We were surprised at how easy it was to travel in Vietnam by train. The booking system worked well. We were greeted by helpful train staff. The cabin was comfortable and even provided snacks and breakfast. Then at the end the guard came to ensure we didn't miss our destination.

Baolau is easy to use and removes the mystery and uncertainty from booking unfamiliar services. I have been extremely happy with them and will continue to use them on our future travels .
