Very helpful chap, who checked the systems thoroughly. Booking system has just been automated with reminders and confirmations so it is now much more efficient.

The 5 stars is purely for the engineer-Stephen who visited,who was very polite,knowledgeable and this is why he's requested each year as knows his stuff.
However ...actually trying to get through to the maintenance dept to book a service...0 🌟.... took multiple phonecalls over various days,then waiting ages for anyone to answer!!.

We have a Banham safe that needed to be moved within the property. The official advice is that it should be moved and secured by Banham so I contacted them to ask for an appointment. Many months and many chasers later I am still waiting for them to get back to me. I am sure that if I’d wanted to buy a new safe they would have been very happy to help.

We also have a Banham alarm which went off twice on two consecutive days due to a faulty sensor. This after the system had been serviced for a not insignificant amount of money only a few weeks before. We were due to go on holiday three days after the false alarms so I was keen to have the fault fixed before our departure. Luckily Banham were able to accommodate me on a Friday, with a window between 1-5.30 pm. I explained I’d have to do the school run during that time so was assured I would receive a phone call from the engineer an hour before their arrival. Sure enough, nobody called but they rang the doorbell just as I was as half an hour away from the house. Instead of waiting for me, the engineer said he could let the evening shift know who would contact me around 5.30pm and come later that day. I never heard from anyone. I emailed Banham the following day to complain but never received a response. Instead, I received an email letting me know that the engineer had been unable to gain access to the property, so they were rescheduling the appointment to tomorrow. When we are away. I responded to say that day didn’t work because as I had pointed out we were away. I then received a reminder of the appointment. I’ve now had to email again to cancel it. And still hoping the faulty sensor doesn’t trigger the alarm while we are away. For a company that charges a lot of money for their services I would really expect a better customer service.

Very disappionted with my Banham lock. We were advised to put this into a new front door about 3 years ago and the lock is now giving trouble (it doesnt retrat when the door has been opened). I called into the Golders Green, London shop and the man I spkke to muttered some instructions about how to deal with the problem myself (which I did not understand). Alternatively, he advised that they could send someone but this would be expensive. These are very expensive locks and I would never recommend anyone buying one.

Easy to book, engineer called and confirmed arrival time, pleasant professional individual, careful attention to detail. All good.

Maintenance engineers are good but I cannot give 5 stars due to the fact that up until about three years ago maintenance calls were done regularly. Unfortunately however I now have to remind that a service is due and this time the first appointment they could offer was thee months later. This means that these calls which used to be done regularly in October or November have now stretched to July. In view of annual charge this is very annoying.

Great service! Courteous, switched-on skilled maintenance engineer, arrived on time and quietly went about his work. Love their professionalism.

Exceptional Service from Josie Llewellyn

As a House Manager responsible for a private residence, I began dealing more closely with Banham last year. Initially, I found the process of arranging engineer attendance, coordinating maintenance and establishing clear communication considerably more difficult than it needed to be.

That experience changed significantly when Josie Llewellyn, Alarm Operations Desk Manager, personally contacted me. She took the time to listen to the difficulties I had been experiencing, acknowledged my concerns and, most importantly, took ownership of helping to resolve them.

Since that first conversation, I have liaised with Josie extensively regarding maintenance, engineer attendance and various operational issues across the property. Her professionalism, patience and consistency have been exceptional. She is responsive, knowledgeable and remarkably effective at coordinating matters, but what distinguishes her most is her genuine determination to see an issue through rather than simply passing it elsewhere.

The difference this has made to my role as House Manager cannot be overstated. What had previously been a frustrating and time-consuming process has become considerably more efficient and straightforward. Whenever an issue has arisen, Josie has ensured that the appropriate people are involved and that matters progress towards a resolution.

It is also telling that engineers I have spoken with hold Josie in equally high regard, which says a great deal about the respect she has earned within the organisation as well as with customers.

There was a point when, because of the difficulties we had experienced, I was seriously considering moving our fire, intruder alarm and associated security services to another provider. Josie’s intervention and the standard of service she has consistently provided were instrumental in restoring my confidence in Banham.

She is an enormous credit to the company. Her dedication, professionalism and personal commitment to customer service deserve genuine recognition. Quite simply, she has made my job considerably easier, and I cannot speak highly enough of her.
