The watch wasn't sized correctly.
The watch wasn't sized correctly.. had to go to a local Breitling store to get it sized correctly.. I wasted half a day doing that .. also not sure if it's real .. it comes with paperwork saying it is but my friend just bought one a the jewelry store and his has a electronic warranty that is put into a Breitling computer that starts the warranty from date of purchase... so there is some doubt in my mind that it's authentic ..

We are sorry to hear you are so dissatisfied with your experience. We do indeed offer sizing, however, you had asked that his watch be sized to 8". The watch would just barely fit an 8-inch wrist as-is, and therefore was noted that sizing is not required.
We are sorry that it took half a day to have the bracelet resized. To add or remove one link would require unscrewing 4 screws with a jeweler's screwdriver.
With regard to authenticity, the timepiece is, of course, 100% authentic (as evidenced by the fact that a "Breitling Store" sized it for you; they don't size inauthentic timepieces). If you have any doubts about authenticity, the main Breitling HQ is in your area (in Danbury CT) and we enthusiastically encourage you to have your timepiece authenticated there for peace of mind. We will be happy to provide you with their address.
No watch seller online (anywhere in the world) can offer a manufacturer's warranty, including us. This is indeed posted in our warranty policies linked to on every single page of our website, including search pages:

No new watch purchased online, through any vendor, through any sales channel, through any outlet, at any time, will come with a manufacturer's warranty, without exception. Had your friend purchased the exact same model, he would pay $4200 + tax for the item you paid $2875 for.

I called before the purchase to review…
I called before the purchase to review terms, conditions, ordering process, etc. I talked with a customer service rep, she answered all of my questions in an honest and straight forward manner. Placed the order a day later on line, and received the watch the next day. Shipping packaging was secure and showed no signs of damage. I signed for the watch after inspecting the packaging, watch case and watch. Everything was in perfect condition. Then I went on the Oris website and crosschecked the serial numbers. Watch was authentic. Have worn the watch for several months and everything is still correct with watch. I will be using Authentic Watches on my next watch purchase.

There should be a buyers beware notice such as “We are not authorized retailers. We are wholesalers. You will not have factory warranty or be able to register product with maker.”

We are sorry to hear that you are displeased. No dealer that sells watches online at a discounted price, without exception, is an authorized retailer. No online dealer can offer a manufacturer warranty, without exception. We do indeed post all of this in our policies, and our system does not allow for checkout until these are reviewed and agreed to. There is no such thing as purchasing from an authorized dealer for discounts remotely close to as substantial as we can offer. In your case, you paid $1,175 for your timepiece. Had you purchased at an authorized retailer, you would have paid $2,000 + your local sales tax of 8.25% for a total of $2,165. This brought your total savings to almost $1000; almost 50% off what you would pay at an "authorized" dealer. The sole trade-off is that your warranty is through us rather than getting the manufacturer's 2 year warranty. Assuming the worst-case-scenario... do you believe that your timepiece will require a service that costs more than $1000 in the next two years which Oris would have covered that our warranty will not? Again, we are sorry to hear that you are upset and welcome you to contact us if we can assist in alleviating any of your concerns. We do want to clarify that we do indeed state that we are not authorized dealers in our policies...we just don't feel this to be a "warning" of any sort, as no one online is.
