I ordered dahlia tubers on 23rd March with delivery within 7 - 10 days or earlier. I'm still waiting and, like others, find the inability to communicate other than through a robot frustrating and inadequate customer service.

Very good quality
The quality of the plants have been very good.
They sent the wrong size sycamore trees in one of my orders which I informed them off, their customer service was excellent they apologised and replaced the trees with quality specimens immediately, they kept me informed when they would arrive.
I would definitely recommend Ashridge nurseries
Did not deliver the whole order, resulting in high delivery charge and no empathy
Did not delivery the whole of the order, delayed and delayed, confusing emails, charged £15 for delivery of a £30 tree, as the order trees in the order were eventually not available, contacted customer services, didn't care. Not on my list to by from this supplier again, really very poor understanding or effort re customer service.

Something appears to have gone…
Something appears to have gone drastically wrong this season with supplying bareroot trees and hedging. I have waited months only to be told that some of the trees are unavailable (not leaving me enough time to place orders elsewhere) & have only now in mid Feb received a part order. As a professional gardener, ordering plants on clients' behalf, it is incredibly frustrating that I'm unable to phone the nursery to find out what is going on. The range of trees supposedly available is excellent but sadly after using Ashridge for many years, I feel compelled to take my business elsewhere.

Excellent all round, including thoughtful online follow-up checking that all was well with my delivery.
I am impressed by this company
I am impressed by this company. They have a fantastic grasp of fundamental capitalist ideals; a classic model indeed: lure and secure customer with an all singing and dancing website promising the world. Once payment is secured ignore customer to the extent that they send an ever so slightly concerned missive to customer services pondering whether company is even legitimate. Enlist the services of a third party courier to deliver the goods (at their convenience)(and duly ignoring any orientation or handling instructions clearly marked on the packaging)( because at the end of the day who can say who’s at fault when the plants are transported upside down and smashed about…?). Finally - don’t worry if on the website you proclaim the amazing products you will bestow, simply put a big red stamp on the delivery docket saying ‘sorry, we couldn’t fulfill your order’ and that’s just fine.
Dear Ashbridge, please try to display some duty of care towards the plant world you claim to represent and kindly retract those clawing green fingers that have ‘I promise to pay the bearer’ so proudly home-tattooed across them.
I look forward to your response, which I have no doubt will gently assure me that I am overreacting and that you are trying really hard and really no one is really to blame and that one day really there will be world peace.

Another excellent tree
Another excellent tree
Thanks again to Ashridge Nurseries for a high quality bare root tree. This one - a Rowan Embley, arrived well wrapped and looks in excellent shape. Planted yesterday. The silver birches I bought from them 6 years ago are looking magnificent.
Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service. I must have spent several hundred pounds with this company in the last few months. When something goes wrong or you need to speak with them, the company is virtually impossible to contact|: no telephone number or email published, Live Chat is a robot, contact via the website enquiries form takes several days for an answer, and when the answer comes it is often rather rude. Won't be giving them any business again.
Order Ticket Number 198543 added at the request of Ashridge Nurseries. Two days later and still nothing further heard from Ashridge...

I ordered two fruit trees in January as…
I ordered two fruit trees in January as a gift for a relative. The order has arrived but is incorrect. They have sent two of the same tree (Quince) and I ordered 1 Quince and 1 apple. As they are bareroot they need to be planted but I am waiting for a response to message sent exactly 1 week ago as to what I should do. No phone number and their live chat is not available. Terrible customer service!
Update: Although it has taken a while to sort out, the customer service team have now responded and have restored my faith in the company. They have despatched the correct tree and as a gesture of goodwill given us the originally delivered tree. I have upgraded the stars to reflect this.

Climbing roses
I was a little apprehensive about purchasing roses at 12.96 when some main suppliers are charging 19.50 but the quality of the Ashridge roses is just as good.From ordering to arrival was just 3 days. Quality roses well packaged, excellent service. I was impressed.
Disappointing Christmas tree
I have previously bought trees and plants from Ashridge Nurseries and they have all been very good quality combined with excellent service.
This year's Christmas tree was a different story. The quality was not as good as last year. But what really irked me, was that it was covered in mud on one side. Also it was shipped on a Thursday and arrived on a Monday, so had spent days in a black plastic bag.
I know that they changed supplier this year but it should not mean that quality is compromised.

Replacement silver birch sent after…
Replacement silver birch sent after first ones received failed. Sent by 24 hour courier. Took over 4 days to arrive and look very dry. Trying to contact Ashridge by email is proving to be difficult. Not hopeful this second lot will survive and. suspect this is also why the first trees failed. I wish I had gone to a local nursery.

Bareroot beech hedging
Ordered 35 trees for hedging, delivery arrived with brilliant notice, but only contained 25 plants. Emailed their customer service and had a reply from Catherine within the hour, and a delivery of the remaining 10 plants the following day. Amazed at this service as they are based at the other side of the country. Hopefully the trees come back next year!
Also the saplings were surprisingly sturdy and with thicker limbs than expected, and a good amount of root.
Beautiful plant, excellent service
Received my plant today and wanted to say that I'm absolutely thrilled with it. It's the healthiest pelargonium I've ever bought and such good value too. Thank you for all the care and attention and the great communication. I'll definitely be returning for more and will recommend you.
Watch out for misleading delivery info
Having had previously good experience with this company I tried to order some items (tree and hedging) from them. The amount I was ordering qualified for free delivery according to their website. However in processing my order, a delivery charge of £50 appeared, disappeared, then reappeared. I eventually accessed their chatline (not easy) and was told - admittedly politely and quickly - that the charge was because some items had to be palletted, being over 1.2m. The specification was in fact 1-1.25 m, you don't know exactly what you're going to get, so - ridiculous and inflexible. So no business from me. Beware ambiguous/misleading info on their delivery strapline.
