Fake discount

I liked the item I purchased and delivery was good. However, the pricing was confusing. The website advertised a percentage discount for new customers. I input the code at payment and it appeared to work but I was charged full price. I would use them again but proceed with caution as any discount offered could be fake.

No delivery, no communication 😕

I contacted them by email to chase up my order. They then sent me a dispatch email. When I tried using the tracking info sent by the delivery company I got confusing results, first it was on its way, then it was delayed, then it vanished! I’ve sent several emails to the Futon Company and they have not replied at all. When I contacted the delivery company they explained that they had not received the package yet although they had been notified it was due to arrive with them some days ago. I’m now wondering if the Futon Company has been over trading and is struggling? Thankfully I paid by credit card so will presumably get my money back eventually if my order doesn’t arrive or they cease trading. I notice that several people are reporting the same problem as me. If you’re going to risk buying from this company do pay by credit card for greater protection and be prepared for late delivery/poor communication. I will update this review if I ever receive my order!

Brilliant Bespoke Service

This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered from this seller. They make bedding for odd shapes and are a godsend if you need university bed linen. Many uni halls have a non standard bed (longer and narrower than a single). I’ve bought sheets and a mattress topper (highly recommended a topper, uni mattresses are thin and sometimes there’s dodgy stains) which fit perfectly and they are pretty speedy at making and posting them. My only criticism is that the sheets are a 30° wash, I’d prefer hotter wash but I do understand that it degrades the elastic in the fitted sheets so I tell my children to use laundry bleach or sanitiser when they wash them.

Awful customer service ☹️

I ordered a bunch of things online. One item was missing and they sent something I didn’t order (both make up items). So I guess the order picker accidentally put the wrong thing in my parcel. I immediately contacted Boots customer service to let them know. And that’s where it all went horribly wrong. No they can’t send me my missing item. No they can’t collect the wrong item from my home address! I have to go into a store to hand over the wrong item to a staff member who will probably be as confused as I am. Then I *might* be allowed to have the item that I actually ordered, although they’re very vague about how I will receive the item I ordered and paid for 🤦‍♀️. They haven’t replied to the email I sent them 4 days ago asking for clarification. Just awful. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 40 years but now I’m thinking it’s time to find a new supplier for glasses/contact lenses and hearing aids (yep I need the lot) and explore a different makeup brand (been using No.7 for aeons). Everything else they sell I can get elsewhere and I might as well do so, there’s a chance I can find better service there.

Terrible customer service ☹️

I ordered some products online. One item was missing from my order ( No7 Pro Artist Eyeshadow Palette Lights Camera Action ) and instead I received a MAC powder highlighter. I immediately contacted Boots customer service. They say I have to take the item sent in error into a store to return and then I can have the item I ordered! So I have to travel to a Boots store to return an item they sent me in error and then wait and hope that I actually receive the item I did order (and have paid them for). It’s just awful customer service and I would recommend that people avoid ordering online from Boots.

soiled packaging

My meat arrived in soiled packaging, flecks of chicken meat and blood covered the outside of each packet. I assume the packaging process is quite messy! I had to cut open each packet and decant the contents into clean bags before freezing. I fully support the ethos of this company but I won’t be using them again unless they can sort out the packaging process. The health implications of receiving meat with raw chicken bits spattered across them are obvious 🤢

Poor customer service

I’m a RAC member and wanted to renew my membership using Tesco Clubcard vouchers. I used my Tesco Clubcard points to pay for £279 worth of RAC cover. I received my voucher code from Tesco and input it to the RAC webform. All went well until the very last confirmation screen where I kept getting an error message telling me to call the RAC helpline. I called the helpline twice but they didn’t want to help because I was paying with Tesco vouchers. I’ve tried contacting them on Twitter, and via their website, but no help there either. So my membership lapses in a few days, I’ve got a high value Tesco voucher that RAC will not process, what do I do? Probably cancel my RAC membership, get cover with the AA, and try to persuade Tesco to refund me. Just the most awful customer service from RAC!

The best

Books arrived quickly and in excellent shape. I try not to buy from Amazon because they sling your books in any old how and I have had more than one book damaged this way. Bookshop.org had lovingly packed my books so they arrived pristine, that’s the difference between someone who loves books and a faceless online behemoth I guess. I really love that this supports independent bookshops and it will be my first choice for books in future.

Truly dreadful

Just the most appalling rip off. I would never buy these gift cards but unfortunately my children sometimes receive them. They are so difficult to use, especially during lockdown. I’ve just spent an hour trying to use them to buy online from Argos. I believe they deliberately make it difficult to use so they will expire without being spent. The f you’ve got shares in this company you must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Very helpful and efficient

Very helpful and efficient in handling the corona virus fallout. We were contacted and offered a fee free transfer to another date of our choice. Great service and we are looking forward to our cottage in the Peaks when normal life can restart.
