Head Office info clashes with High Street shop claims. One of them is lying.

Snow and Rock, once a reputable company, treat their customers worse than Emu. The Covent Garden London shop claimed they were sending my fitting results by email. They didn't. Subsequent attempts at trying to contact them failed. After my 1 star review on Trustpilot, Head Office sent me a worthless email address [which they know is not manned, nobody ever sends replies] instead of following up the complaint themselves. After a second review they just reiterated that fitting results were emailed automatically. How very strange, as in the meantime, the London shop replied claiming they never send their fitting results by email. They further claim they cannot find my booking slot, implying I never booked the fitting. So Head Office doesn't know what their branches are doing? Who is lying? Both Head Office and branch shirking responsibility for incompetent staff. In the meantime, the customer is left out of pocket, having travelled from Norfolk to London for the fitting.

Kiwi won't send your flight details, hence you can't access them. bookings for Ryanair flights require lengthy, time consuming requests for PNR and third party email address

Kiwi does not send you the PNR and email address they use for booking flights with Ryanair. Their automated emails claim that Ryanair will send you these. But this is rubbish - Ryanair has nothing to do with third party emails created for booking purposes; they won't find your booking. In order to actually be able to access your booking, a LENGTHY CUMBERSOME PROCESS VIA THE KIWI.COM WEBSITE is necessary. If you need the booking details right away, bad luck, as someone from Kiwi will only bother to respond within several days. A simple issue, simply resolved by sending clients this info right away - BUT KIWI WON'T BOTHER WITH THIS. All they need to do is update their false information on their automated responses, but it's obviously too much to ask. Avoid.
Response to Kiwi's reply: Sadly they have not engaged with the actual complaint, i.e.=wrong information provided after booking, so that clients waste a lot of time trying to get in contact with Kiwi go get the necessary info to be able to access their booking. And they cannot get any help right away, which might be necessary if their flight leaves soon. Instead, they 'offer' to help in a few days time - which is not the issue. One should not need to be dependent on 'help'. One has paid for a ticket and the least they could do is to provide all information right away, without soliciting it. But they won't even consider changing the wording of their automated emails that contain wrong information. Pathetic.

company operates under false premises. Keep away! Publishes prices it doesn't honour. Lures you into Prime membership without any chance of cancelling it. Shows 'flight confirmed' on webpage, for a decent price, only to send email hours later telling you to 'complete your booking' - with prices now much higher. your so called confirmed flight does not exist, has in fact not been confirmed. All the while your Prime Membership is still active. Only has bot 'customer help', no human answers phone. No UK address or email address is available. No way to cancel prime. I can't even go now to my bank and complain because Opodo's so called '15 day trial' means they will charge me after 15 days

unreliable unresponsive company with…

unreliable unresponsive company with lying employees part 2
Since original review came out -below- 2 communications from the company, contradicting each other. One says fitting results are sent automatically to client, the other tells me they NEVER send results. The shop even suggests i probably , confusedly, went to another shop nearby and had my fitting done there! Anything but take on responsibility and make good!

I travelled from Norfolk to London for their bespoke boots fitting. A lady measured my feet and suggested a boot, but it was not stiff enough for my requirements. I asked her whether I could take a photo of the results on her screen which showed my measurements. She replied this was not necessary as she had already forwarded this info to my email address. However, until today I have not received a mail from Snow and Rock in spite of calling and writing several times. None of their phone numbers are manned.. I am extremely disappointed .
Updated today , after the very first reply from the Snow and Rock Team, only written because of this negatve review: however, the reply does not address the dire lack of communication. The "Team" know the shop does not respond, yet instead of taking action against the staff damaging their brand name, and following up my complaint , they actually have the insolence to furnish me with yet another, worthless email address nobody replies to. Snow and Rock was once a reputable company, now they treat their clients worse than Temu.

beware of Temu - your parcel did not arrive? You'll be out of pocket and without the goods you ordered.

Temu's parcel -tracking number H0483A1291700009 - did not arrive, although they claim it did, based on a photo by Evri taken not outside our door [clearly marked and numbered] , but taken from the street pavement of the door leading to several apartments. I contacted Temu several times, they don't respond. On their website they advise one should contact the courier - that's how far their 'help' goes.
This was the second parcel that did not arrive, and where Temu just ignored the problem.
Tracking Number:H0483A1265870020, non-delivery on May 15. Again, the photo showed parcels out in the street where there is heavy footfall, and NOT in front of my apartment door.
This warrants a second review but I include it here, because Trustpilot for some reason does not allow me to write a second review about Temu.

Lousy rating with TransUnion but excellent rating with Experian

I have an excellent credit rating with Experian and a lousy one with TransUnion. Why? Because I exercise my right to remove myself from the open electoral register which the UK is selling to anyone interested- thus protecting myself from scamming and junk mail. TransUnion punishes banking clients for that, giving the reason that they are not on the 'electoral register' although they are. They are just not on the sellable, open register.

beware of buying with Temu!

beware of buying with Temu. If something goes wrong with the shipment, you're on your own. Temu refuses to get involved; they want you to battle things out with Evri yourself [and good luck with that]. There is no way you can contact anyone at Temu. Obviously what they are doing is violating your rights; your contract is with Temu, not with Evri, so it is Temu's responsibility to sort out any shipment issues. But being located in China, they feel they can do what they want, and the customer be damned.

Clunky user-unfriendly app, no help from team. In spite of slogan "...no nasty surprises"

"Simple terms with no nasty surprises". If only. have wasted hours trying to fund my new ISA - there is a glitch in their app, when trying to link the ISA to one's bank account. App says it's done, but nothing happens. No link. No help. Theoretically one can use their app message service, but nobody replies. And no info is given whether one has to log in again to see their reply, or whether the reply will come by email. A very clunky app, and unlike other providers, one always needs to verify one's id by going into one's mail. by the time my mail provider sends Tembo's mail, Tembo's app has timed out. Great experience.

Beware of Inside Guides' dubious links to overseas subscription companies
Once upon a time Inside Guides was a company one could trust. Ebooks could be downloaded safely and without problems. Now they seem to have paired up with some fitness companies in Cyprus whose app one has to use [apparently] in order to download the ebook after purchasing the hard copy. Then one is locked into some fitness subscription. if this is legit, it's an appalling practice by RG, if it is due to the Cyprus company hacking the RG website, it's gross negligence by RG not to ensure its customers can use their site safely.

NORTHERN TRAVEL VERY UNRELIABLE, DISCOURTEOUS STAFF

The pickup service I requested from Lanarca airport, organised by Northern Travel, was a disaster. I had specifically asked where exactly the driver would be waiting [often there are several exits at Arrivals], and what he would be showing to identify himself and to show that he was waiting for me in particular. What happened was this: no driver arrived. I ran the gamut of about 20 taxi drivers standing at both exits [with my heavy luggage, which had to be put down every time]. It seems to be the habit there that they only show their mobiles and one cannot of course read the text unless one is very close. So i had to ask each and every one whether he was waiting for me. As the drivers changed – they came and went with different arrivals – I had to repeat this pleasurable exercise over and over again. No driver. I called the number given to me by my UK travel agent who is represented by Northern Travel. They had told me it would be a whatsapp number - it was not. I had to make an international call. Northern Travel was very laissez-faire, they just told me the driver would eventually turn up, I should just ‘stay there’. I explained where I was waiting and how I looked like but I had the feeling they didn’t take anything in/ down. About 90 min after my arrival at the airport, I received a phone call from someone very irritated, asking where I was. It was the driver from Northern Travel who claimed he had been there for an hour and was just about to drive off home. He then sped ahead to his car – I struggling behind with my luggage trying not to lose him from sight.
It turned out that: 1. Northern Travel drivers never carry a sign to identify themselves [contrary to the information given to me], they only carry their mobile 2. They make no attempt whatsover to approach potential customers [they know the number and gender of the persons they expect, and if they do not carry identification signs it should be expected that they are somewhat proactive in finding them] 3. Northern Travel had called had not relayed my information to him, so in fact he did not even know I had arrived, much less where I was waiting and how I looked. 4. The driver, still irritable made it quite clear that he thought it was my fault that he had not found me.

Altogether, a most unpleasant, very stressful and worrying experience, which made me arrive late, and which was a bad start to my trip.

company keeps bank details and continues stealing money out of your account

Don't deal with this disreputable company or if you must, only ever pay with a credit card you are sure will provide you with chargeback services once you realise Couchsurfing has stolen money from you. In my case, they just kept my banking details and continued taking money out of my bank account. I have now stopped future payments with my bank, but because it's not a credit card provider, it cannot recoup the money via chargeback. Couchsurfing 'customer service' is no such thing; they just brazenly deny taking money without authorisation and claim that it's you who has voluntarily made the payment. You cannot escalate an official complaint as they won't tell you what their company's official procedure is.

DPD dump parcel outside in driving rain without alerting us

DPD claims the parcel was delivered ‘and received’ by me on Sat 19 October. This is incorrect. We were at home all of Saturday. Nobody rang the door bell. The parcel was found sitting on wet ground in the driving rain, totally soaked. The outer packaging had disintegrated, the wet had permeated through the inner packaging and membrane. The contents could not be moved without the danger of further disintegration of the membrane and spilling of contents. Even 3 days after the event, the packaging was still humid. There is no mention in DPD’s regulations that doorstep delivery is deemed safe practice. Because of DPD’s negligence I had to spend hours in dispute with the sender, who claimed that it was my responsibility to use an app and give safe place instructions. Nowhere in DPD regulations is it stated that these are mandatory. Consignees may not own smartphones or may be disinclined to use apps. I note that the UK consumer website dodges the legal definition of delivery, quite unlike Belgian and Dutch DPD websites which are very clear about what a delivery actually represents. This is quite a shameful situation not reflecting well on DPD UK. Furthermore, according to the Consumer Rights Act, delivery is considered complete when the items come into the consignee’s "physical possession". Parcels left outside when the consignee is not at home or unaware of a delivery, are not in the consignee’s physical possession. Therefore, if they get stolen or damaged, the shipping company remains liable.

only responds if threatened with Ombudsman

This company only moves after you threaten them with the Ombudsman.
They underwrite Staysure policies. Staysure sells you a policy claiming you are insured for a certain scenario, but when it comes to claiming, Davies Group will initially reject your claim. It does not help calling the initial seller [Staysure] as they have nothing to do with the claim, but only the selling. This is the second time I have had this experience.

their website has not been working for 12 hours - one cannot complete a booking. I have had my bank details on their final booking page for ages now, tried 2 dozen times to book, the page does not work. A year ago I had a similar problem with Jet2.com. it seems incredible that they cannot pay for a decent website.
