ZoomInfo Arvostelua

Received a "Notice of personal information processing" which was conveniently delivered to spam. I've never signed up on their site, and made sure to double-check by using the "Forgot password" function, which never sent me a code.
I've attempted to contact them for data removal and am waiting for an answer still. Their contact form has limited character space, requires a phone number, and doesn't have a pre-defined subject that applies. Not sure who this company is or how they got my email, or whatever other data they may have. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a scam. They allowed a 1099 contractor from my company, not even an employee, to sign up for a two-year contract worth $25k. Do you think they would do due diligence and seek an owner to sign such a large contract? Nope. Rep Clay Cooper, a complete scumbag, signed up the contractor using my company’s name. Now AR/AP is telling me I owe $18k or some other ludicrous amount for software that was never agreed to by me. I have never received an invoice until recently and have never once logged into their scam service. I will share this story with everyone I can. You should be ashamed of yourselves, ZoomInfo.

I signed up on their website and 2 minutes later started getting multiple phone calls from them.

not very accurate. at least 30-40% of the contacts are YEARS old, the numbers are to different companies, numbers out of service, websites inaccurate, job positions wrong. obviously it's never going to be perfectly accurate but I'm spending almost half my time correcting these bogus contacts and it's causing more time wasted than invested. been using zoominfo for prospecting at my job for over 6 months now and this has been the case for tens of thousands of contacts.

They gained access to my contacts on Gmail. That's not what I signed up for. when I tried to reach out to the company to reverse this permission, everyone of their contact forms goes to a 404 page. These are the online business predators we are all talking about nowadays, these large companies, stealing information, and then selling it. They offer a contact form, and they all go to a 404 page...

ZoomInfo's product has been great. As an actual customer of the product, I can say that it's very easy to use, the data is accurate, and the platform also has great intent signals. It's easy to identify ideal prospects and directly message them from the ZI portal. No complaints, happy with the service overall.

Service didn't deliver results and then they trapped us in a contract.

ZoomInfo steal your details then sell it to others.
Avoid them like the plague and avoid any company who uses them for marketing lists.
They refuse to remove your details from their database, even after multiple requests.
I'm not sure how they get away with this legally, though they are an evil, unethical organisation.

EDIT: They just asked for my details through here. ZoomInfo, I will NEVER trust you with my details. You steal them and sell them to companies. You sicken me.

Scam service. Their data is extremely inaccurate, and their support sucks. Stay away!!!

Email received titled "Notice of personal information processing".
FYI, I have never signed up to this company. It came to my work email address which I don't use for anything other than work purposes and would never sign up to non-company websites.

They are frauds, pure and simple, trying to get you to click through to see what info they have on you which they get from other unsuspecting colleagues in your company clicking through and following their instructions to download their software.

Zoominfo is totally inaccurate as it relates to the business I own. It seems as if they just put info in a company name to make it seem as if they are a trusted company. I view it as fraud on their part and possibly defamation of my company and its reputation. They have no access to contact them to have them pull the misrepresented statements off of their site.

I was told by a marketing call that they had retrieved my number from Zoominfo.

Don't do it!!! The company is unethical and the data is not as promised. They snuck in an evergreen clause into my contract and when I called to cancel the subscription (45 days prior to renewal), they told me that the agreement required 60 days advanced notice. They charged me the full $10,000 renewal and threatened legal action. They wouldn't even discuss prorating the amount. As a small company, I could not afford a legal recourse. In addition, the data accuracy was less than the promised 95%. Again, they included legal clauses that made it financially impractical to dispute.

Out of the blue I receive an email from ZoomInfo saying they've collected and sold my personal information. They give an opt out link, just to make them look like they aren't illegal, but the opt out link doesn't work, and they don't reply to the email address they give. They even pretend to be contactable via VeraSafe, whoever they are? Expect to be inundated with multiple cold callers.

Scraping and aggregating my data from the internet without my permission and in clear violation of GDPR legislation.
Not offered to opt-in but rather opt-out by supplying more personal information to them.
GDPR legislation clearly states that marketing must be opt in.
Their webstates makes a big show of claiming to be GDPR complaint without ever saying how they actually are.

Posted bogus company information and refused to edit it. They hold us hostage - we have to create a paid premium account to be able to manage it.

Update (02/07/2025): we've been contacted by zoom info and they agreed to remove the bogus information from their site (e.g. non-existent employees and phone numbers)

Don't use it and wouldn't... product data is terrible. 75% of contacts for small company I own are for people that haven't been employed with us for 3 to 10 years! Some were short-term, one never worked for us, some deceased, some working elsewhere. Thus, Zoominfo shows size of company as much larger than actual. Yet all contacts are shown as "updated" within the last 2 months!

Frustrating and deceiving onboarding experience

Web scraping and not GDPR compliant - I did not give consent for you to sell my data and do not appreciate receiving cold calls to my personal mobile (that is registered with the TPS) in relation to a business that I'm an employee of.

Don't touch this company with a 12 ft barge pole
