Wickes - Tunbridge Wells Arvostelua 

Richard was extremely knowledgable and helpful with our bathroom refurbishment. He helped us pick the best products for the size, even though some were cheaper than the standard products. He gave us all of the information required and made us feel confident that our renovations are in good hands. If you’re planning a refurb, ask for Richard.

Went into wickes this morning and I alway go into wickes and love looking what they have in the lady at the till with black hair was very helpful with what I needed

We had many options. We chose Wickes mainly due to Richard Molony who had the experience etc that made us comfortable.

I often shop at the Wickes store in Tunbridge Wells and the staff there this Sunday particularly I think the guy in charge his name was Steve. They were very helpful a great asset to your company. However one of the premier reasons we use the store in Tunbridge Wells is because they have a charity trolley at the front of the store. In which Great bargains can always be had and the proceeds from it go to help good charities rather than the stock just being wasted however it’s no longer there the reason being given that somebody didn’t like it by which I assume some manager higher up the chain thought it was Tacky or something but fails to see the good that the money raised goes to and the pride the people in the store obviously have in achieving winning the competition that you as a store run for this charity very disappointing and a typical modern lack of insight into what really makes people tick. 10/10 store, 0/10 faceless corporate no nothing

Great experience today came alone to buy 10 bags of top soil was a bit worried about lifting them all into the car didn’t need to worry we were offered help from a lovely employee OWEN you were great Steve was also lovely we ended up getting 15 bags definitely come ng back! Thank you 5*

Richard at the Tunbridge Wells store gave us the best customer service we have ever had. Dedication design service advising us on every detail. Professional, experienced, trustworthy, patient and kind. We really lucked out being able to deal with Richard for our bespoke kitchen. Outstanding service. Kitchen and appliances choice was brilliant.

Organisation was a shambles. Deliveries booked turned up on different days to expected . Fitter cancelled 2 weeks before job started. Had to escalate to executive office to get things back on track . The complaints manager took days to get back to us, if at all. The bathroom was for a 92 year old with Alzheimer’s so an extremely stressful experience for the whole family.
On a positive the replacement fitter was fantastic . He went out of his way to get the job done despite delays with deliveries and was very considerate to my mum. I’ll give him 11/10 !

I visited the store in Tunbridge Wells, looking for a power drill and Lily was very helpful to find the best value for money combination of drill and battery. Thank you Lily

From start to finish of planning & finally being able to use my new shower/wet room has been truly brilliant experience. Richard at the outset planed it, then gave me a call the next morning to say he had slept on it over night, & come up with a better plan. And it really was!! The installer, Umit, was also very precise & an excellent finish was the final outcome. Very pleased. 10 out of 10 thanks.

Staff always happy to help with lifting and getting things in my car, due to my bad back. Lots of charity items on sale too yesterday so I picked up some bargains

Staff were very pleasant, but not helpful and unknowledgable about their stock, had three of an item in stock supposedly but couldn't find them anywhere and no staff was willing to help find them.

Excellent help from Jonny in locating various items in store and dealing efficiently with a return. Couldn’t have asked for more & a refreshing change from shopping experiences in competitor stores. Wickes is our definite first choice on the High Street for all our DIY product needs. Well done & we’ll be back soon.

I don’t often write reviews… but I was handed a review card and had a good experience, so why not.
The young lady on the till - i believe her name was Lauren - was very sweet and the young man who helped me get my top soil in the car was also well mannered. Good experience, nice store.

Kitchen installation was supposed to take 2-3 weeks.
It took 6. Worktops were not ordered until the start of the job ( despite kitchen units being ordered and deposit paid months before), and did not arrive until week three. This put whole job back into kitchen fitters holiday and plastering did not therefore take place until after the new carpets were fitted. Disaster!

Popped into the Tunbridge Wells branch of Wickes for some decorating bits for our new house. Staff at the tills were very helpful talking me through what I’d need, and a lovely chap called Eric helped me find it all. Service was wonderful and I will be coming back!

Bought laminate flooring in the Tun Wells branch , delivery was cancelled and rescheduled only for the wrong flooring to be delivered , spoke to Steve the manager who was rude , arrogant and dismissive, blaming me . Avoid this branch

Avoid Wickes for anything beyond basic materials

We paid over £7,000 + £2400 for specialist works for a full bathroom install. The team arrived late most days, left early, and after four days the bathroom was completely stripped out and left unusable, no toilet, no shower, no water supply.

When rot was found in the subfloor, the additional quote for the remedial work changed repeatedly, from around £2,000 verbally, to £1,640 plus VAT in writing, down to £670, with no itemised explanation at any point of what we were actually being asked to pay for. Our <4.5m2 bathroom costs were starting to outstrip our kitchen install and we could not get clarity as to what we were paying for.

We later obtained our data under a subject access request and found Wickes' own staff internally admitting "the quote keeps changing but there's no explanation as to what the customer is paying for", the exact issue we'd been raising for weeks, while their formal responses to us kept insisting it was a separate matter they couldn't get involved in.

We were then told a replacement contractor could take months. My wife is pregnant, and we ended up having to source and pay for our own plumber and move out to stay with family, at our own cost, because Wickes couldn't give us a working bathroom or a credible timeline.

No apology was given at any point, before or after we complained. The response noticeably sped up once there was a finance agreement to sign, but not once there was a family without a working bathroom or water. Their first compensation offer was £100. We are now taking this to the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman, because their internal complaints process has completely failed to take this seriously.

If you're considering a large installation job with Wickes, get everything in writing and be prepared for this kind of experience if anything goes even slightly wrong.

I would like to know why this company advertise Billie as a payment option.

I've been using it for a while and it's great as I'm trade and we use Wickes a lot .
So why does Billie now only allow LTD company to use it , IE it requires a CRN number!!!!!!! You cannot move forward to pay without one .

So STOP advertising on the trade app that it is an option for all trades as it clearly is not any more , I've contacted Billie and they said it Wickes that is to blame !!!!!!!!!!!!.

Richard was helpful very knowledgeable and helped our Bathroom plan and gave us a true visual of what we wanted

Feedback is usually left when something is either very good or very bad.
Service in the Tunbridge Wells store is the worst - how any staff can complete a transaction without any words, no hello, cost please or thank you.
Also no notice that the lady was in any way unable to speak
It's a store is only ever use if nowhere else in a 20 mile radius had what I needed
