I have just tried to join this site and decided to pay for a weeks membership. My bank flagged it up as fraudulent activity as they tried to take two different amounts straight away. Please be careful.

DO NOT be tempted 1 - Multiple payments applied to bank account - luckily bank refused.
DO NOT trust responses from the company here - they will make it out that they care and are dealing with the issue - they certainly are not.
DO NOT trust the images - I know for a fact that a local uniformed service does not have an employee of that description.
SORRY BUT FAKE FAKE FAKE - Do not be tempted even at the lowest of opportunities

Fake profiles and automated messages, you'll receive several messages and likes seconds after signing in using generic messages like "what are your hobbies?" and "are you a romantic person?". If you're in a chat and start to talk about anything specific the replies back are automated so they make absolutely no sense and don't relate to the topic you wanted to chat about.

Problems cancelling the subscription:

* Phoning them to cancel, they read from a script, they will extend the subscription for a week for free, but it's not made clear that it will continue to auto renew.

* When you phone again to complain they try to transfer your subscription to a different site called 'lovechemistry' which will also auto renew. Anything so they can continue taking payments.

* They ask why you are cancelling... if you select one of their reasons "because there aren't enough local matches" they come up with lies about your postcode being wrong on the website. On two occasions they told me I'd entered the wrong postcode (I hadn't) and having fake updated it my experience on the site going forward would be much better. Don't fall for their lies.

Avoid 'uniformdating' and 'lovechemistry'.

I paid £10.99 for one week and discovered the company had charged me for two other amounts. I then had to cancel my debit card with my bank. Unfortunately, I have discovered a number of fake profiles that use the same address. I can tell they're fakes, as I'm an English Language Teacher and can detect poor written English. I could continue, but let this be a warning to others more gullible than me!

What a crap site

I registered thinking I could meet someone nice and real, almost every profile I looked at responded to me within seconds with some corny line, umm red flag! They do not let you write back, since those profiles are most likely fake, or do anything else really, without paying first. You will be bombarded with pop ups and messages asking to subscribe! I was actually willing to pay for one day but my bank blocked the transaction, scam alert! I'm happy I wasn't charged! The website also remembers your credit card number even after you delete your profile, I had to type in expired CC number to hopefully remove my active credit card from that awful website. Oh and look at the great reviews, all fake profiles too! Use on your own risk!

This is a scam that entices you to subscribe for 99p but then proceeds to charge you for a full membership. I called this company to cancel any type of subscription 2 days after I originally signed up because they had tried to take money from my bank account. I spoke to an advisor who assured me that this was now cancelled and also sent an email confirming this. Two days later this scam company have taken £28 from my bank account. I am now reporting them for fraudulent activity and seeking legal advice!!

I am taking legal action as they’re illegally taking money from my account after cancelling a subscription on the same day I took a 99p day out !!!!! They’ve ignored my emails told me they’ll accept my feedback but I’ve lost almost £30! Disgusting company and they won’t even remove my profile after I’ve told them there isn’t a delete button under settings !!!

scam site. got 10 likes and 7 new messages in 1 min. Yeah like in what fantasy world do they think this is. Guy logs on to site and its an avalanche of available women just waiting for me LOL preys on desperate guys. Stay away. You cant do anything without paying. There is no way in hell that was legit. There might be a legit person on there, but at least 99% scammmmmm. Use tinder/pof etc. Any positive reviews are fake just like the site.

If it was possible to give no stars, I would. Like many others who have commented on here, I was contacted by the fraud department of my bank minutes after signing up for a short trial to be told they have taken £22.99 unauthorised. Bank card cancelled, no access to money over the weekend, and all the hassle of changing card details. On eventually finding I had to phone them to cancel the subscription, which is ridiculous, they kept trying to persuade me to stay. Even after I had advised them that the fraud department are involved! Don't do it. Save yourself the hassle. This company is a disgrace.

Absolutely horrible experience! Then when I tried to cancel the deactivation code they give doesn’t work. So I email them and get absolutely nowhere. This site is BS and I would recommend everyone go somewhere else! Don’t waste your money and don’t even think about trying to cancel right away cause it’s a joke!

I wish I had read these reviews before joining. I paid for a week then emailed them to ensure they didn't take any more money out. Sure enough they attempted to take £28.50 this morning. My bank messaged me as they didn't allow payment but because I have given UD my payment details they can't stop if they attempt again. I have had to stop my bank card and order another one then race to cash machine to get cash out until I receive new card.
Utterly disgusted. First Direct informed me that this is a regular occurrence with dating websites.
Also I keep receiving messages from Americans. I want to meet someone close by in the Midlands. I don't want a pen pal

Very disappointed as i had paid for some kind of membership but had not even received an email verification to activate my account. I was receiving messages from 2 people but they could not see my reply and it didn’t show anyone who had been online. The same faces appeared all the time with nothing new at all and I was not able to put the membership fee i paid to any good use. Emailed support twice but still no reply from them as yet. Disappointed is an understatement!

The site doesn't function well, just displays the same people, messaging system doesn't work, location isn't accurate and continued to match with members on another continent.
You have to phone them to cancel any subscription and they make it incredibly difficult for you to do so.
Overall waste of time and quite an irritating experience.

This site has just charged me for a subscription i didnt even set up. I cant delete the supposed account i have, i have reported this as fraudulant activity on my account. Avoid like the plague.

This site is full of west African males and females trying scam and pimp others out! Please be aware that not one person on that site is actually who they really say they are! Be aware of who your talking to. Please do not fall for anyone's sob story.

Total scam, I signed up for the 3 days and they tried to take out an additional $21 that I did not authorize. My CC company caught it and cancelled it. It is illegal to impersonate a military person to get gift cards. Total scam all those I talked to wanted my number right away to move off site, or to go to whatsapp or google hangout, there they tried to get gift cards. There were several profiles with the same photos but different name and stories. Their written English is off, that was a big clue. I am so dissapointed I am filing complaints in my state, federal and with the CIC. Stay away!!! Not 1 was real!!!

Please please please do not sign up. They make it impossible to cancel the subscription. Also they draw you in with one day offer and then automatically sign up you for 30 day pass. It was not mentioned anywhere when I signed up. Very misleading. Clearly a scam. Have sent emails to get my money back as I did not agree to 30 pass. No luck they ignore you or send you to the website to cancel it. Why should I call to a call to cancel a membership? And the number is 0800 ...
I am still waiting my refund and their confirmation that my profile will be deleted.

Had to get financial ombudsman involved now to get money refunded - UD agents continually fob you off on phone, ignore emails & lie. They are not interested in helping you get refunds.
The reviews speak for themselves - continually provide appalling service - avoid at all costs.

SCAM
signed up then cancelled few days after as full of sleazy old men. Then had a call from santander fraud department a week a so later as this website had fraudulently subscribed myself to other dating websites and was trying to take my money. Had to block my card and get an unauthorised transaction reversed. DO NOT USE. (Credit to santander for alerting me and getting me back my money, thank you 😊)
