Signed up only for a few days, then had a message to sign up for an additional week for £7 , then to wake up this morning to find find £86 was taken out of my account even when I cancelled the subscription yesterday, called them.. no-one answered for 20 minutes so I gave up. Will be reporting for fraud,

Absolute con artists.
Even though account cancelled continue to take money over a period of weeks. Differing amounts and under a spurious name, so unable to identify. To my bank to investigate to identify.

Con artists. I signed up for the 3 day trial for a few quid. I was then sent to a page where I was tricked int signing up for another service at £22. I cancelled both subscriptions straight away. Then two days later they attempted to, as far as I'm concerned steal from my bank after I already told them to cancel the subscription...
Update, they managed to take the money from my account despite being asked to cancel the subscription multiple times.

Awful site. Signed up on a whim (no subscription/fee) to have a look however changed my mind after receiving numerous spam messages.

I then found I was unable to remove or delete my account. I removed my photos and information however account is still active.

Advice and instructions tell you to follow simple steps via settings, however there is no option to "REMOVE ACCOUNT" as the instructions state.

Have sent numerous messages and emails to the company, with no response.

Dodgy company, I'm only grateful I have not signed up to pay any subscriptions.

UPDATE: since posting this review, I have now received an email from the company confirming the deletion of my account.

I would still not use again, as it was very difficult and involved numerous emails/messages to achieve what should be a simple task (deleting an account).

Ha. You’ve got to wonder about these jokers. Following my last review which mirrored the experience of 95% of other users they have had the audacity to order trustpilot to request evidence of authentication. I have provided emails and bank statements so I guess that will be sufficient.
In the interests of fairness they provided me with a refund….£6.90 of the £22.99 they defrauded from me.
They claim banking fees swallowed the rest.

Total scam!!! As reviews state, when you sign up for the trial they sign you up to love.com as well and then bill you for two accounts. It’s in the small print.

Absolute scam artists. I signed up for a few days a couple of months ago, and just like all the other reviews on here was scammed into signing up without my knowledge, even though I asked for them to delete my account via email after a few days. That was a total rigmarole. No number or ability to cancel on the site. I was contacted by illegitimate profiles from the get go and didn’t feel safe. Now I have discovered 2 payments for £46.50 from the last 2 months. They said I had agreed to sign up to a sister site called loveagain.com!!! I didn’t! They now refuse to refund the money. Totally scammed and will be now seeking legal advice and reporting them to the ombudsman and other appropriate authorities now. They have scammed so many of us, this is not ok and I will not stop until I get my refund.

Please stay away from these. You sign up for 3 days and they take more money on the same day and keep trying to take more and more phone customer services waste of time cancel your card then they can't steal any more vile and disgusting avoid avoid avoid thieving bunch of bandits how are these even trading stay well clear

Where do i begin! 1 big utter scam!! Can’t seem to delete/ cancel my subscription just says “ processing payment may take 24 hours” … well that’s rubbish been over 24 hours. Try to delete pictures (every other site it’s instantaneous) but no!! They’re still showing as “deleting”!! It’s randomly signed me up using the same details with one of its sister sites without my consent!!! I’ve emailed them numerous times and not nothing back I try and delete another account I found I had but get told to enter a “confirmation code” to complete the deletion i never receive it!!! ….

Honestly, just don't bother. Signed up for free trial. Continued to take money months later, misleading way of cancelling subscription, making you think you have when you haven't. Helpline, not helpful. Just don't go anywhere near this site. Much better ones out there!

I signed up for a uniform dating in feb which I thought was a free trial. However, I got charged 22.99 despite only being on the site for less than a day. I phoned up and cancelled my account and I thought that was the end of my dealings with this site. Yesterday, a payment of 37.51 was taken out of my account with no consent from me. I have tried to contact uniform dating for a refund but I cannot find a contact number. I do not have a uniform dating account so do not know why or how I have been charged. Absolutely shocking company!!!

I signed up for free, but like most dating sites you are restricted to how many photos you can see etc so they corner you into buying a subscription without really knowing how the site works or if you are even going to like it (in terms of layout, navigating around the site etc). There seemed to be plenty of people on there so I went for the three day trial and was quickly bamboozled into adding on a premium subscription without having to re-enter my card details because it saved them automatically. So another £20 odd taken immediately. So I thought fine, I was not looking properly, my fault. But when I started using it, I hadn't even put up a photograph yet and the fake messages from fake accounts started. You can tell the obvious ones with the photos of models taken by a professional photographer somewhere in the US that are apparently only 25 miles away from me in the UK. I instantly hated it. Lots of 'non-uniforms' on there and I thought the whole point of the site was the exact opposite. So because I took an instant dislike to it I tried to cancel my subscriptions. Most sites you go into your settings and cancel it and then get rid of your profile. Not this website. You cannot cancel subscriptions or cancel your profile with out making note of your ID number and calling them multiple times to tell them to cancel. The first phone call was ridiculous and was left felling like I'd been scammed. The person on the phone spoke so quickly with such a thick accent and kept saying I had to call back before a certain date??? I said please cancel it all and they said I had a free 7 day something-or-other but it sounded to me that my request had been acknowledged and this was just some ploy to get me to stay. He was a salesman, so I expected this kind of talk. I looked at my account to see that nothing I had asked for had been done, so I called back and very FIRMLY had to say cancel both subscriptions NOW because I will not use this and I want to cancel my account (you cannot cancel your account without first cancelling your active subscriptions by calling them). Anyway, I asked them to repeat back to me multiple times confirming it had been cancelled and they will not take anymore money from me with these auto-renewals and the guy confirmed to me that it was all cancelled and I'll receive an email. Email was received and I went on and cancelled my account. Phew. Sad thing is I do not trust them one bit not to take more money so I will be keeping an eye on my transactions.

At the end of the day it should not be this difficult to cancel auto-renewals or accounts. Awful company trying to trick people into upgrading, staying longer and take money without them realising what they've signed up for. Unfair and completely unethical. I hope I do not have to contact them ever again, they make you feel horrible.

Be it one day trial / 1 month trial it’s a con! What they don’t tell you is that after the however many day trial you opt for you cannot opt out! You are signed up for premium membership without your consent which auto renews! Guess what you can’t cancel it as easy either! You have to cancel it, call them up and then verbally request it! You can’t even delete your account! You have to phone them to delete it!
I realised when banks flagged up unusual transaction attempts on my card twice! I thought I have been hacked but when I did the trawl of all my paperwork I realised it was this site that was still trying to get money from my account despite me thinking it had been cancelled years ago! It has been making attempts since. When I logged in I saw that it had two subscriptions active which I had deactivated again years ago! It appears you cannot just hit deactivate. You have to note down the user ID AND THEN CALL THEM TO CANCEL! These subscriptions were only 1 - 3 day trials ! I also clicked do no auto renew! Yet this site signs you up to auto renew and full membership !
Complain? Get in touch?? HA !! No way to directly email them or complain! No body that governs them either!!’ This site needs looking into by The FCA!!! If I could give it minus 10 I would! Unfortunately it only goes to 1 star!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!

You cannot cancel any type of subscription until you have physically called them! I only found out as i just got a text from my bank saying they just declined a payment of £39 which they just tried to take using a different company name. They cam link you to other sites and join you without you realising.

They try to keep you on the phone so make sure you are sturdy and reject there continuous questions.

I have also reported them to trading standards and sent a report though the police action fraud website.

I’m writing under a thoroughly disingenuous three stars in case their algorithm only sticks their Bot written reply ( essentially “ sorry but when you sign up it’s all in the terms and conditions “) on 1 star reviews. Well algorithm this you chancers….. show me where it says, “ within 5 minutes of paying for a week on the service we will try and charge you three times the amount and then when your bank quite rightly blocks the payment as suspicious we’ll try for double the amount with a different name” . If there was a no stars option this ‘service’ would get it. Only site I’ve been on where you have to ring to cancel and when you explain why, the operative offers you a free week!!! It was laughable. So many bot profiles it’s just not funny ( clue…. They are very short on words, always have a religion and are always glamorous … I like the sport of replying to their messages and asking them to use words like potato or irrelevant in a sentence. When you get the… “ I have lived here all my life, where are you from originally ” as a response … it’s hilarious and damning in equal measure. Some of the positive reviews on here barely make sense as pieces of English but Trustpilot say they don’t violate any rules despite being written by the same bots. Avoid at all costs…..

Please avoid like the plague!

I joins this site and paid the membership fee. They then tried to take two further payments that they did not make clear would be charged to my bank account. Thankfully my bank stopped them but in doing so they also suspended my bank account to prevent further payments going out which has caused me lots of stress and taken lots of time to sort out today. Reading other reviews on here I am certainly not the first this has happened to and they have replied to previous reviews saying that all payments are explained, the truth of the matter is that if they are explained they are done so in small print and certainly not made clear at point of purchase.

This is an awful, dishonest company.

Further to this I believe the majority of the messages I received were from bots. I received 5 messages from women before I had even completed my profile or added pictures.

Don’t trust this site or believe their responses to negative reviews on here. I’ve had to search the internet to find out how to deactivate my account as if there is a button on the mobile version of the site it is hard to find. To save you time, email them on admin@ followed by their page address and request that they delete your account and all the information they hold on you.

If you are a paying customer of their’s I seriously recommend that you go through your bank account and make sure they are not taking further payments out under different names. They tried to take money from my account using 3 different business names!

I have now deleted all my information while I wait for them to delete my account and am still getting “liked” despite my account having no pictures or information. It’s a scam!

Read through other reviews on here and be sceptical of the recent invited positive reviews. They certainly sound dodgy to me!

This is the worst site I ever joined, I signed up for a trial last year then notice this site took 30 pound out a few days later so I called and cancelled my membership , I thought that was that but this site have continued taking money out almost a year after I'd forgotten about this site only to be contacted by my bank asking me I'd I knew about two£ 59.00 payments going out, I did not have a clue who it was do bank cancelled my old card. 5 days later I received an email from uniform dating telling me I'd cancelled my on going subscription? I panicked then and had a look through my bank statement and this site were taking £28.90 and £30.00 every month. I contacted the site asking for my money back and they only want to pay 3 months also informing me the payments taken were for another site? I have told them I'm now seeking legal advice as I've never bad any mail from the other site they are speaking about and I want all the money they have taken. I'm so upset. Dont join this site it's expensive and most of the men are not who they appear to be! The worst part is I found this site on a christian site. This site are Wolves in sheeps clothing

This is big scam! I paid for one day pass just to try them out, they proceeded to take £39 from my account for a subscription I NEVER signed up for, when I tried to email them my messages won't even go! Scam Scam Scam DO NOT use this side. I hope my bank will be able to sort it out

I used UniformDating back in 2010 and had some great success with it, so thought I’d give it another go after finding myself single again. Honestly, what a mistake!

Creating the profile was tedious, it would just delete whatever you put in your About Me and, once subscribed, would plague you with pop ups every 30 seconds for ‘upgrades’ in an attempt to make you mis-click and purchase.

Subscribing to the site was a nightmare, my bank kept blocking the transaction and, when my housemate lent me their card to try after watching me struggle, it allowed the payment however their card was cancelled by their bank for fraud!!

The saga is only just beginning. SO many fake profiles on the site (I’d say 1 in 6 messages I received was actually from a genuine person). I’ve never known so many scammers in one place, and considering its not a free site, you have to wonder how much money they’re making off it, or whether they actually behind the operation of the site itself.

So, after getting fed up of stupid pop-ups, unsolicited subscriptions to their other site ‘lovechemistry’, and romance scammers, I decided I wanted to cancel the subscription and close the account. Easy? Nope!!

To cancel the subscription, you have to call them. But they ignore what you say, read off a script basically saying they aren’t going to cancel it, that they’re going to ‘transfer your subscription to lovechemistry and then you can try that and let us know if you still want to cancel’. I objected, they read me the same long spiel again. I objected again, same spiel, just sassier. I realised that i was getting nowhere, so decided to email. I emailed asking them to cancel my subscription and both my UniformDating and lovechemistry accounts, explained I had phoned and i just wanted to cancel. So they emailed back a discount code. Politely, I told them I wasn’t interested in their discount and that I wanted them to cancel the subscription and the profiles.

Finally, attempt 3, they cancelled the subscription. They refuse however to cancel the profiles. I have tried 2 further times to get them removed but... nothing! I’ve developed a theory on the back of this. The accounts that the scammers use were probably some people’s genuine accounts at one stage, who gradually gave up fighting for their accounts to be deleted. Then the delightful UniformDating Scam Team just swoop in, log in as the users and try to extort more from their clients. Delightful customer service, don’t you think?

TLDR - terrible site, terrible service, fraudulent and probably owned by the scammers themselves. My best advice to you is avoid!!

Uniform dating is a complete hoax. The majority of profiles that matched with me
Were from the US or Eastern Europe and they were all, without exception, fake.
I also was billed for an “upgrade” that I did not want. I realised this was down to some microscopic small print and contacted the help desk by phone.
I waited for extended periods to be connected on four occasions. Each and EVERY time I spoke to someone with limited English and EVERY time, as soon as I mentioned a refund the operator claimed EVERY TIME that they suddenly and inexplicably couldn’t hear me?!! They seriously claimed that after a six or seven minute conversation they suddenly could not hear me at all, ALL FOUR TIMES at EXACTLY the same point! It is laughable and shows this business as the complete fake that it actually is
