Travarooo Arvostelua 

I booked a taxi for an important meeting and they cancelled on the morning, less than two hours before I was scheduled to travel.

No explanation was given and I was left to walk. I have yet to receive any refund, assuming they will use the 5-7 working days standard, they had no problem taking my money, then cancelled my lift, and are now going to have me wait for compensation.

Avoid.

Taxi driver didn't arrive, but money was taken. No answer to phone either to taxi company or Travarooo. Feels like a scam.

Useless. After three driver changes, the eventual was late to collect, took 50 minutes to do a 20 minute journey because he didn’t know where he was going, and failed to turn up on time in the right place for the return journey. I have asked them to contact me so I can get a refund - not heard after two days. Do not use this bunch of incompetents.

Taxi didn’t turn up. They have my money and I risk missing the match. Fraud!! Watch out

Taxi didn't turn up to pick up my two young teenage sons, it was really inconvenient. We called the following evening to make sure we wouldn't be charged as we could see the fee in the 'pending' section of our bank account. They assured us we wouldn't be charged but, sure enough, the next morning the payment went through so now we have to battle with them to refund us. Steer clear of this company.

Absolutely shocking. I had booked a taxi for my daughter from Edinburgh Airport to the centre of town as part of her 18th birthday celebrations. You cancelled at the last minute while she was actually on her flight with no explanation. Surely you have got some kind of duty of care? If one of your drivers was ill, perhaps you could have recommended another company instead of leaving my daughter in the lurch on the first time that she has travelled alone. If I could give you zero stars, I would. Totally untrustworthy

Rubbish service. Booked a cab through Travaroo to pick my daughter and her friends up from a party at midnight. Spoke to the company at 7pm to ensure that a cab would be available. Was told it would be. Was sent an email at 11.20pm to say that they had been unable to fulfil the booking and were cancelling the order. Unable to get through to them to find out more. Will never use them again. Chris

If you are looking for a reliable taxi service that will not cancel 24 hours before you are due to travel (even though you booked days/a week in advance) then please do not use this company. Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience.

After they cancelled two of our bookings, I thankfully managed to find an alternative company that not only came to the rescue at the last minute, but would also cover another important slot we had booked. When I tried to cancel this one booking with Travaroo to avoid the panic of another late cancellation. Travarooo said they will charge the full fee and offer no refund, they also assured me that the booking in question would take place "no problem", "don't worry!" ....low and behold only to cancel it!!

The day I made all 6 bookings, I contacted them to ensure confirmation. Which I was told not to worry, they only fulfilled 3 of the bookings.

On a positive note: I will say that the companies they used (all external and out-sourced) were very professional and provided excellent service . This review is purely for the customer service we received from Travarooo.

Next time we will book directly with the local taxi companies in the area to save cost, a headache, and to guarantee the bookings will go ahead.

Lesson learned!
