I found Transact very efficient and helpful

I am very elderly and have been a transact investor for a long time. I trust them to look after my finances.

Transact are a very good investment platform. Their fees are reasonable and they try really hard. Just read the horrific reports on the fees and performance of the more high profile companies with their poor performance, opaque fees and the way they lock-in customers and advisors ( see todays press ).Transact are upgrading their systems and responded very positively to my earlier criticisms on this site. Value for money they certainly are. Free cash currently earning 4.86% 12 months deposit 5.70%. They always respond to e mails. I have been a customer for 12 years.

I am writing to advises people how totally useless and incompetent these people are. I have been trying for over 6 months now to consolidate and transfer my pension from these to another main provider. At every turn they have made it impossible to do this and rejected every transfer. One of the numerous reasons they have stated is the recipient organisation is not requesting under the correct name -- they ARE it is transact who have spelt my name wrong. i have repeatedly been told that they will sort this direct with the new provider and they lie. i have raised a formal complaint to them about this and all i get is a requisite response within 30 days saying " they are still looking into it and will respond in 30 days". this has gone on so long they have now even added the insult of charging me the annual administration fee. are they holding onto MY PENSION long enough so they can do this. Do not trust them they are useless and i have just received the 7th refusal to transfer my money out despite going through all their validation three times, have written to them to do this and they respond with a letter saying i can do this on the phone....ironic as i was told i could not do it on the phone before and had to write in. Useless / incompetent and keep lying to me.

I see transact have responded today (1st September 2023) and its only taken nearly 3 months to do so which is typical - they respond by saying names have to be accurate -- yes i completely agree but when all this started from YOU inputting my name incorrectly. it is impossible for me to guess how you have spelt my name when you have clear correspondence with my details - how about advising on improvements you might make to ensure you put in data correctly .....sorry but i still wouldnt go near you folks again with anything remotely valuable like a pension

When it came to the tax year end, trades were not going to settle in time to facilitate the top-up of a clients pension and ISA before the end of the tax year, however as Transact operate real time transactions we were able to deposit funds up to 5.30pm on the 5th. The client account was still credited with the top-up before the end of the tax year. Great work Transact.

I'm a strong advocate that you get what you pay for in life. Transact was notoriously expensive back in the day and I couldn't warrant putting all of my clients on there (although I would have if it wasn't for compliance). I appreciate I have a fairly complex investment proposition, which is why I couldn't imagine using another platform. The functionality allows me to do exactly what I need, although I admit that I do sometimes need a bit of guidance by the team, who are very accommodating. Assuming they continue to develop as they have over recent years, I can't imagine I'd use anyone else.

Having used Hargreaves to manage my own investments I soon became overwhelmed so my financial adviser suggested I consolidate all my investments on Transact - they manage most of my investments and I still have a small pot that I get to play with. Super happy with how it's all gone and very easy to use.

Transact Works With You.
They are a large company, with a small firm caring ethos, they will work with you to provide the best service to your clients.
Financial Adviser firms work with smaller teams at Transact, so they get to know the team you are working with easily. In addition, technical help is always at hand if needed with excellent response times.
In my opinion the best platform available.

We recently migrated our clients onto the Transact Platform from Nucleus, which we had used for 15 years. The Transact Platform does almost everything better than Nucleus did. Managing a mature client bank, invested in direct equity portfolios utilising our discretionary permissions has become dramatically less time consuming that it used to be. We have been freed up to offer clients more of our time and surprisingly we found we could now operate with one less senior team member.

Transact is just one of those organisations who actually care about their customers and who have the sort of service and support teams that makes you feel like they do. Any issues, no matter how trivial, is always resolved by an actual person who answers the phone cheerfully and professionally.

There are a lot of platforms out there but Transact have been around for a long time and they know what they are doing...the online experience is amazing and if you need additional help the support staff are outstanding....plus they are not vertically integrated so there's no chance your clients are going to disappear overnight ...Oh, and they keep reducing their fees...who else does this?

The customer service is very good indeed. Calls are answered within 3-4 rings, always by someone knowledgeable. The inhouse support screen sharing and technology works incredibly well. Onboarding is made easy and admin dealt with very quickly.

Having been an independent financial adviser for almost 20 years, Transact are the best company that I have dealt with in that time. I wish that I had placed more of my clients with them since I became an independent adviser.

Prior to writing this review, I took the time to read the negative reviews. Observations I would make are:
- some issues are likely being blamed on Transact that are not their responsibility.
- all companies have issues, I cannot remember any instances where I have had a problem that has been caused by Transact, I have considerably more issues with the majority of other financial service providers.
- Transact work best in conjunction with a financial adviser, their systems and processes are set up for people who have intimate knowledge of the rules and regulations surrounding financial services.

If we need to get something done on behalf of clients, we can phone up knowledgeable people, based in the UK, who help us expedite our clients' requests. For example, a client who needed money from their pension who had not previously taken any benefits was able to receive what they needed within 24 hours. Often, trying to speak with someone can take the best part of an hour, let alone getting an accurate answer, or any meaningful action.

I feel badly for those people whose experiences with Transact does not mirror my own. To those who are considering using Transact and reading this review, I would say do not be deterred by the negative comments, amongst their peers, I would still rate them as being the best.

A very good business in my experience. After 2 years of being a customer I have found their website to be intuitive and easy to use, particularly after my adviser gave me a quick tutorial. They also have a livechat function that I've used when I had a question about income tax, following receipt of my annual report - I found it refreshing that a real person answered my call rather than being directed to a few automated FAQs. Keep up the good work then, I'm happy to recommend this company then.
