I rang customers services at A J Bell I was answered and put through to a representative very quickly, they where able to answer my query promptly and to my satisfaction a very good company and service.

Gave useful assistance for a login problem

Explained every query I had and helped me navigate process which seemed bit daunting because I felt if I made a mistake I would end up paying unnecessary taxes

The person was helpful, responsive and keen to make sure I was comfortable with what I was trying to do.

As always it's easy to get through to the help desk and talk directly to someone who's familiar with the issue. The issue was resolved promptly and to my satisfaction. I can only heap praise on those who are polite and understanding. Well done and keep up the good work.

Having just phoned Nat. West. Bank taking about 15 mins. till I actually spoke to someone, it was so good that I almost immediately got a response from A J Bell. The person I spoke to was helpful and courteous and I soon got the problem sorted.

Overall have been pleased with AJB - BUT I would not agree they are a low cost platform. Share dealing fees for frequent trading at £3.50 may not seem that much but over a year can add up compared to the likes of Trading 2-1-2. Again their FX fees of 0.75% are 5 times higher than 2-1-2. Buying and Selling an overseas share of £1k is costing over 2% or around £20 as against 2-1-2 at £3 - this has a marked impact on compounding.
