Thanks to the team! This review is for James.
Amazing
I recently purchased a car from The Motor Group and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping me find the perfect car to fit my needs and budget.
The dealership itself was well-organized, and had a great selection of vehicles. The financing process was also smooth and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises. I highly recommend Them to anyone looking for a great car-buying experience. Great customer service!

Just bought a car from The MotorGroup and it was awesome! Super helpful staff, no pressure, and I got exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend checking them out if you're car shopping!
Excellent experience thanks!
Top guys, fair prices and the aftercare was amazing. Couldn’t fault my experience and had the car over 12 months now.
Thanks to the team!
Void at all cost.
People believe the horror stories.
The motor company own the warranty company as-well, and as a result it all comes out of the same pot, they will NOT fix your vehicle/return it. They lie and send out cars just about working.
They currently have my vehicle and the unprofessional managers Issy and Shauna will not release it. They have caused all of this to happen over £90, half of a diagnostic fee.
I am currently in the process of building a website about the company. And to gather as much information and evidence to make it publicly available in one place.
If you are reading this, and have had a similar experience please like and follow the insta page.
Alternatively i have an email you can send anonymous or info direct to on the bio.
Extremely poor after sales.
Engine management light came on after 2 day's, along with false video of the car avoiding very torn search and alloys. Reported to them, they then gave the runaround awaiting their warranty to expire and I now have to find £300 to fix an issue they knew was present on the engine management light. They then finally sent an email to basically tell me to bog off and now totally ignore any contact.
Amateurs and con artists.
Absolutely shocking
EDIT.
IT IS A MOT FAIL IF NO ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON WITH REST OF LIGHTS WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY.
THIS SAID CAR WAS MEANT TO HAVE A NEW MOT A WEEK AGO.
Absolutely shocking.
I purchased a car on finance. I take full accountability that I only viewed the car on pictures because I live so far away.
On collection of the car, it was clear it had been in a crash and repaired. Car was hpi clear.
I will attach photos so you can see and make your own judgements.
Since having the car I have arranged to take the car to be fixed. With a date still over 2 weeks away.
So today I have had to take said car to an independent garage. Car over Revs and engine management light has been turned off before I brought car.
Rang the motor group explained situation they are willing to look at car but expect me to take the car with them and leave it there and expect me to travel 4 hours there and back with no help and no car they can lend me.
I am so annoyed I have had this car 1WEEK
they obviously new they sold me a car not for for purchase.
And now expect me to travel and take days off work with no help.
What’s even more annoyed they tried to offer me £99 to get it all fixed myself.
Extremely Disappointing Experience
Extremely Disappointing Experience
I recently purchased a car from this dealership, and the entire experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Initially, I had to wait two weeks for the car because it needed steering wheel parts, which I was fine with. However, things quickly went downhill after I got the car.
Within three days of receiving the vehicle, I started experiencing multiple issues: the tire sensor indicated that it was missing, and the steering wheel was making a buzzing noise. I called the after-sales team and was told they would need to run diagnostics, but the next available appointment wasn’t until months later, and drive two hours to get it done at their location.
I asked whether they would cover the diagnostic fees if done near me, and they confirmed they would if a fault was found. So, I had to pay for diagnostics at two separate garages. Both found issues, with the first garage even suggesting it would need an electrician due to the car being a hybrid. After forwarding the diagnostic results and photos to the dealership, they agreed to cover the repairs but denied ever mentioning they would cover the diagnostics.
I called the finance company and spent over an hour explaining the situation, which led to a call from Shauna at the dealership. She initially apologized, agreed to cover the diagnostics after she listens to call recording, and scheduled another diagnostic at their garage (a two-hour drive away). I drove all the way there, only for the same person who had previously denied everything to tell me the car was ready. When I asked about the diagnostic refund, he seemed clueless.
The icing on the cake was when I picked up the car. Not only was the car dirty, both inside and out, but it also had barely any fuel left—on reserve. I had been patient, but this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
Overall, the customer service was disorganized, unhelpful, and lacked any transparency. I was promised reimbursements and proper support, only to be left chasing answers and paying for services that should have been covered. I highly do not recommend this dealership. They make the process of buying and maintaining a car unnecessarily stressful and frustrating.
Terrible service
Terrible service, we bought a car from them and within 2 weeks the clutch and gearbox had broken.
We paid £1200 to repair and tried to get some sort of compensation from Shauna at the motor group who offered us £200 even though they are completely liable for all repairs.
I tried calling daily and sending emails daily which we had to wait weeks for a reply and Shauna only called back after a few weeks of each time.
10 weeks later Shauna still only offered £200 compensation and was quite clearly hoping we would just give up and go away.
We have had to get solicitors involved and will be taking them to a small claims court to retrieve the money the know they owe us.
Disgustingly bad customer service avoid this company at all costs as if there is any problems with your catlr they will try and get away without paying anything.
Outstanding customer service
Outstanding customer service, I've been to many dealerships but I haven't found attention to detail and care like I have at the motorgroup. Definitely recommend anyone at any stage of there purchasing life to visit and experience.
Great service!
Great service!! Would definitely recommend to visit.
Excellent Car, Very Pleased.
I purchased my Audi A6 at the start of the year, waited for 3 months to see how we got on, I’m very happy with it, the sales process to the handover was smooth.
Thank you for your help.

Just bought my BMW from this place and honestly, the whole experience was spot on. Massive shoutout to Issy he was super helpful from the start, really knew his stuff and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. No pushy sales talk, just genuine advice and great service. He made sure everything was sorted quickly and properly, and I drove away feeling really confident in my purchase. If you’re thinking of buying a car, definitely ask for Issy. Top guy and top service.

Really positive experience purchasing a car here a few weeks ago that we came back to purchase another today, brought my mum along and due to exceptional service we ended up both buying new cars the same day! Special thanks to sales consultant issy, his professionalism, service and manner is exemplary! A real credit to the company :)
Highly recommended
Out of all the independent car dealerships worldwide, you will not find anyone more humble and transparent than Jason and the The Motor Group Team.
A lot of car companies have turned to the "gram" with self proclaimed "we're the best" and videos that are just not tasteful.
The Motor Group keep it classy with client care that is impossible to beat. I have bought many cars from Jason, Not one purchase has ever had an issue and every sale comes with ultimate professionalism.
Each time I do business with Jason he treats me like a new customer and it feels like a new experience each time. It is always an incredible buzz buying from The Motor Group and you know you're in safe hands.
Nothing is ever too much to ask and if anything Jason "goes beyond."
For example:
-Did you get home okay after leaving his dealership.
-Pencilling in reminders of your next service and MOT when it is not his responsibility.
-Sending you videos underneath and inside the car to areas which most dealerships only do that on request.
-Explaining what the car offers that you may not have picked up on.
-Not pressurising you into buying something. If anything, Jason is too honest and sometimes says "this is a great car but I have something coming you may prefer."
With all your hard work and income, you want to make sure your transaction is seamless and safe.
If you want a car with "super peace" of mind look no further than The Motor Group.
Do not buy into the "gram stories and sales technique."
Buy into the traditional journey of a professional sale and meet Jason and his team face to face if you can.
It is how business is done.
Best wishes,
Ghaf
Excellent service
Excellent service, good guys. Shout out to issy. Looked after us and sorted the finance out quickly
AVOID
AVOID - UNPROFESSIONAL, FRAUDULENT AND RUBBISH QUALITY CARS.
On the 4th January I went to ‘THE MOTOR GROUP’ to look at cars , after choosing a car they asked to see my up to date settlement for my current finance, I showed them it on my online finance account, they never asked for an electronic copy of this. They then falsified all of the figures (vehicle price/ deposit amount/ part ex amount) in order to hide the negative equity and find a finance company that would take me on.. they found me a finance based on their figures and I signed the finance agreement documents that evening. I messaged them to make them aware of some damage I had noticed to the car and they assured me this would be fixed when I picked it up. I was given an average turn around time of 7 days.
14th January I am due to collect the car and I had already organised for my insurance to change over on this date/time. However on the 13th they call to say it won’t be ready till ‘next week sometime’ so I had to change insurance back to my current vehicle.
15th January I receive and email to say that the finance agreement had started, without me physically having the veichle yet - I ring up the finance company and tell them to make them aware I don’t have it yet.
17th January they call to say “are you still okay to pick the car up Monday 20th 4pm (I didn’t know it would be ready but was already booked in on their system for this time) so I tell them I didn’t know it was ready Monday but agree to collect then anyway and they apologise for lack of communication. I yet again change my insurance to change on this date/time.
Mon 20th January I turn up at the garage and none of the damage has been fixed which is what I had presumed was being done in the 2 weeks i was waiting for it.. they say that the woman “didn’t note the damage down to be done by the repair garage” despite me having messages from her saying “I will get everything done, I won’t let them chip you” they say “bring the car back another day and we will glue the grill” and “the dent will be cheap enough for you to get done yourself, probably about £50” “I’ll put you some fuel in the car for the inconvenience” I sign all of the documents, retained my private plates, taxed new car in my name and paid the £500 deposit.
The man then says “could you email me your settlement” I do so and drive away in the new car and they then call me to come back. They said that there is a shortfall of 1600 and that I had given the wrong settlement figure, I assured them that I had shown her how much was left and she had wrote It down on paper near to her on the first day (so old finance hadn’t been settled before I drove off in the new car) he held his hands up that it has been their mistake and the sales woman will be spoken to and that the first thing she should have done is get the settlement emailed over from me. I was in a position where I had give the car back leaving me to try and change insurance and reattach my original plates on my current car so that I could even drive it back home and the whole time I was being rushed by the gentleman as it was past closing time. The man then says “ring me if the deposit money is not back in your account by 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday). They was not willing to help or compensate me in any way.
Tues 21st January at 9am he emails asking for my bank details, by 5.20pm (they shut at 6pm) no refund.. I ring them up and it’s a different woman says “I will send it now” didn’t state how long it would take but I suspected pretty instant due to his previous comment about calling him in 24 hours if it hadn’t gone in.. I asked them to cancel the tax as I can’t do it without the log book, they said they can’t do it and that I will have to cancel through my bank when first payment has been taken. Meaning that anyone that is currently test driving the vehicle is driving it around with it taxed in my name!
Weds 22nd January the money has still not been put in or any reply to my emails to the gentleman. So my stepdad goes in to the garage to question what is going on and they call me the liar/this is my mistake and saying that I had given false settlement figures (i had a second person with me on the day that can vouch that the figures I gave were correct) lying about them wouldn’t have gotten me anywhere? he asks about the money they say will be in by Friday.. again why would he say to call him back 24 hours later if i hadn’t received it if it can take 3 days? They also threatened to ring the police on my stepdad because he said “I’m not leaving here until you show me that the money has been sent” magically the money then appears into my bank within minutes via bank transfer.
Purchased a car a few weeks ago
Purchased a car a few weeks ago, waiting 2 weeks for it as needed work doing to it which I asked for, MOT and service so a delay was expected. They offered delivery and turned up on time. Can’t fault the company, great communication and service
DO NOT GET A VEHICLE FROM THE MOTOR GROUP IN PETERBOROUGH!!!
I purchased a vehicle on finance from this company (thank God it was on finance snd not a loan!) and from day one, I have had nothing but issues.
The alloys were terrible, so I asked for them to be refurbished. Initially, I was told no, so I advised them I would no longer be interested. They then accepted, however when I turned up to collect the vehicle, the alloys were no longer chrome, but a browny silver colour!
There was a dent in the bumper and the guy who bought the car to me said the onboard computer advised all tyres needed pumping up.
I watched while he pumped up all tyres and then after completing paperwork, I noticed there were no valve caps on any of the wheels, so I had to take all the caps off my vehicle I was part exchanging and put them on the new vehicle.
A week after taking the vehicle home, the on board computer came on again saying all tyres need pumping up. I took it to a garage and was advised a sensor needed sealing. I paid for it to be repaired and went away. A week later the same thing happened so I spoke to The Motor Group who said they will not help so I contacted the finance company who paid for the tyre sensors to be repaired once their assessors had been to assess the vehicle. The assessors then found that there was no coolant in the vehicle.
A few months past and more issues started happening. One back light stopped working and engine management light came on. I went back to the finance company to complain and also took it to a garage, who advised there was a goldfish bowl of water in one light which they showed me and condensation in the other along with an exhaust issue on a lead. Again, the finance company stepped in and paid for the repairs.
Had I not purchased this vehicle on finance, I would be left with a vehicle not fit for purpose, a massive repair bill and having to pay my monthly finance agreement. DO NOT GET A VEHICLE FROM THE MOTOR GROUP IN PETERBOROUGH!!!
