Lovely quality

Everything I have bought (this time Duvet and pillowcases, before, pillows and sheets) has been excellent quality. Delivery is super prompt and a service team member always messages to check everything is OK with the order before the delivery.

Although the use of Fedex would not be my first choice for delivery - a day late and poor communication, dumped by the front door with no attempt to ring the doorbell - the quality of the duvet is outstanding. It settles around you unlike cheaper alternatives and the Egyptian cotton cover is lovely. So at about 4 times what we usually spend on a duvet, this partner version, 4.5 one side and 7.5 tog the other, is a game changer.

BUYERS - BE WARNED!!

I have had two Hungarian duvets from this company and from my experience, they will only last 3-4 years. At which time the down will move as the internal stitching will fail and you will get cold spots all over the duvet and it will be rendered useless. It will feel like you are sleeping under a cheap 100TC sheet. You’ll then need to spend another few hundred pounds to replace it!

In light of your response, your explanation is not acceptable. The replacement was a new duvet, issued because the original failed — so it’s only fair to expect it to have its own warranty and a reasonable lifespan. Suggesting that the warranty expired with the original item leaves customers completely unprotected.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and last a reasonable length of time. Even after a warranty expires, customers still have rights if an item fails sooner than it reasonably should. A duvet that wears out after only 3–4 years does not meet that standard, especially given the price and how it’s marketed. In my view, this product hasn’t lasted a reasonable amount of time, and the company’s refusal to take responsibility is very disappointing.

It’s also concerning to see so many other reviewers reporting the same problems with durability, while the majority of positive reviews appear very generic. That raises serious questions about how customer feedback is being represented.
