I accidentally purchased a set of 29mm crown caps for my bottles and needed it to be amended for a different size. I sent the email in the morning and got a quick response from Karen from the team. She has changed my order to the right size and refunded the difference. So far my experience with them has been a positive one and it is a great shop for any home brewing projects. Good job team and thank you very much Karen!

Overall I felt my shopping experience was a positive one, but I found their website not the easiest to navigate and use. They offer free postage on orders over £65 which is quite good. The parcel arrived safely, but thought that the packaging could have been much better. I may return to purchase again, but due to above mentioned, will be trying another online homebrew shop.

I have been a regular online purchaser of Woodforde's kits from other suppliers and without problem, this had been my first order from The Home Brew Shop and unless their customer care improves it is likely to be my last.

I purchased 4 x 3kg kits (8 x 1.5kg cans of wort) and these were clearly packaged by an individual, or an organisation, that simply doesn't care, that exercises zero quality control, each kit measures 20.5cm (L) x 10cm (W) and THBS allocated a box with a 25cm (L) x 38cm (W) capacity, 4 x 10cm nor 2 x 20.5cm fit in to 38cm, a larger box or a second box should have been allocated, but THBS decided to pack the kits side-in whereas the weakest surfaces of the cans, the sides, would be exposed to the greater forces during shipping, this is hardly rocket science!

ParcelForce delivered the order around 0900 hours this morning, soon thereafter unpacking the order it became immediately apparent that significant damages had been incurred, I duly separated the cans from their damaged packagings, not one of the cans had survived unscathed, all were dented, some worse than others, some have damaged rims whereas they cannot be opened with a butterfly can opener and two of the cans have been punctured subjecting the contents to oxidisation in turn rendering the contents unfit for human consumption.

By 0932 hours I had initially assessed the damages, taken a group photograph of the more significantly damaged cans, and composed and transmitted an email, complete with attached photograph, to THBS's Sales email address.

Yesterday, when placing this order and THBS were accepting my hard-earned money, I received two emails from them within 11 minutes of each other, since my email of 0932 hours this morning THBS have had 7 hours and 28 minutes of their remaining business day to respond to me, all they had to do was respond before the close of their business day and this review would have been so unnecessary, alas THBS's customer care has been found to be lacking in this department!

Had a package damaged during transit. If I had not been tracking it I would have not known. Order repacked and send immediately and arrived the next day.

I've been brewing for a while and have extensively researched what home brew shops can provide and the Home Brew Shop has the widest range of hops, malts, equipment and spares of any homebrew shop in the UK.
I agree with some correspondents that sometimes their comunication with customers can be a little abrupt and I'm prepared to accept that because their service and prices are second to none.
A very genuine retail outlet that says it how it is and gets you what you need. I would be lost without them.

Until recently I'd had great service from these guys. Sadly, I won't be using them again. Their delivery agent failed to follow my 'leave in a safe place' instructions, instead leaving the rather expensive parcel on the street outside my house. The real issue was the appalling attitude of the staff at THBS in dealing with the matter. Emails ignored, rudeness from Adrian when I rang to seek resolution, culminating in Adrian putting the phone down on me. Won't be going there again!

Very fast service, came within 48 hours. I`m not getting the bad customer service other are complaining about. I had a problem with an item and they were very helpful.
Very large range of items at good prices.
I will defo be using them again.

Spoke on the phone about what to order and took their advice on seals. after my order went through i noticed that the quantity on 3 iems had multipled. (apparently it does that?) When they arrived two seals were wrong for the s30 valve and i was quoted £1.08 for replacement seals and £3.57 postage. I asked themto put two in an envelope first class and he said No. £3.57 was the minimum postage. The Home Brew Shop if this is your shop i have the right one

First time customer. Order shipped out promptly and delivered quickly. Had a slight issue with one item (manufacturing fault) which was rectified with a single email. Will definitely use again.

I've bought from them a few times and been happy. Recently I wanted to add something I'd missed off an order and they were helpful and put the order on hold while I submitted a second, which they added in. No delays, all fine.

Fast delivery (especially for a large item - a kegerator). Ordered Wednesday evening arrived Friday morning. Also, really friendly and helpful delivery driver!
