Easy to make changes
I have recently had to make two changes to my car insurance policy - add an extra driver temporarily and change of car. Both alterations were very straightforward carried out online. Very happy with the process.

The web site to sell what you want to me is great. The web site to sell me the insurance I want is missing.
I don't need European travel but got it as default, did want a named driver but that put the cost up too much. I would only have the named driver driving my car if I got tired. Please think on that one. Price is going up daily, completely unjustified.

Most of it was easy except trying to change my surname, this is still not done and I begrudge paying £25 by making a phone call for them to do the same as me .

I added an additional driver to my policy and was charged immediately. My Direct Debit was amended without delay, yet the corresponding policy documentation has still not been generated or made available through the Swift portal.
What is particularly unacceptable is that there appears to be virtually no functioning customer service. I cannot speak to a customer service agent, the support contact details provided are no longer in use, and customers are instead pushed towards automated and AI-based support that does not resolve the issue.
You are clearly able to take payment and amend a customer's financial arrangements instantly, yet apparently unable to provide the documentation relating to the change or give that customer access to a human being who can resolve the problem.
This is not merely disappointing customer service; it is insulting. If you are selling and administering insurance policies, customers must have a reliable way of contacting you when something goes wrong. Hiding behind automated systems while providing obsolete contact details and failing to issue essential policy documents is completely unacceptable.
At present, I have been charged for a policy amendment without being provided with the documentation confirming that amendment. I therefore require the updated policy documents to be issued immediately and confirmation that the additional driver is fully covered.
Frankly, a company that cannot provide customers with functioning support or even basic policy documentation after taking their money should not be operating in the insurance market.
